I think we should all monitor him and watch out for him as one of our options as Nigeria president in the nearest future.
our hope on some people has been dashed with corruption cases against them (fashola and co) .
one thing I am sure of is that, this present dispensation will produce a new crop of politicians that Nigerians can trust and vote for when the time comes.
this is the opportunity for some new faces in government to write their names in gold.
modify * it takes me a whole lot of joblessness on the job and great show of irresponsibility at the work place to become 1st2C in which I can boldly say right now I am not proud of myself for the time wasted. then my mind goes to these fellows : ladyF introvert it must have taken them a whole lot of joblessness that jobless mad Men on the street could ever imagined to be making FTC on almost every thread.
it's nothing to celebrate to be sincere. especially people that always use the opportunity to thank relatives both living and dead.(ancestors) Judging by your logic, no current top level politician should be allowed to occupy their position, since virtually every have deigferent level of allegation against them (especially in the print/online media), that include the current Commander in Chief. Totally premature to writeoff Fashola, not to mention wasteful. |

kode12: It's fun to attack the government, its actually good.It puts them on their toes, but when you make senseless statements like this, you not only embarrass the president of your country wether you like it or not,you insult Nigerians and Nigeria but ultimately also show how senile you are mentally.Even if you hate the Buhari as a person, respect the position you can't change it. It's abusing the freedom of expression, it ranks up there among the most tasteless comment I've ever seen on social media, I'm sure you don't want to hand power to people like this they will abuse it guaranteed. |

eyeview: I keep telling all who cares to listen that there are only two tribes in nigeria, the Rich elites and the rest. Up there, they don't care whether you are yoruba, igbo or hausa, as long as you are part of them(the elites) and can get 'deals' done, you are a brother. Its only the poor and at the social media like NL do you get kids being tribal bigots. Up there, they wine and dine and club together, their kids even share apartment in schools abroad. Most tribal bigots you see on NL are from poor background. Quote me anywhere! That's correct, it's like the pyramid of need in reverse. |

Apparently our law enforcement agents and armed forces need to be educated/re-educated on the basic principles of the rule of law, basic human rights, criminal justice system..........in fact, the whole lot, this style is worse than prevention of crime through scare-tactics, sad indeed, RIP to the departed. chocolateme: Lord have mercy!! For crying out loud the man was only trying to escape from them which is a normal thing for a human being whether criminal or not should do, is it not their job to hunt and catch him no matter what. Why would they refuse to allow the guy to be rescued? What if he is not as guilty as charged eventually? He should have been rescued first. People sometimes on survival instinct run into their deaths on impulse, it's not fair. Those officers should be arraigned immediately . Kedu udi nonsense bu iha? |

You know Ake is the first of four instalment of Wole Soyinka's memoir right?, I own and read all 4, ['Ake', 'Isara', 'Ibadan' and 'You Must Set Forth at Dawn'] in case you are interested in some of his academic essays, I'll be honoured to recommend, I've read some and they changed my perception of my heritage, religion, global institutions, and even history generally, well you might want to start with his 2013 book; 'Of Africa - Wole Soyinka' My admiration for him stems from his tendency of not pretending to have answers for every question he raises or observations he makes, and of course his style of writing(satire), in those memoirs, you'll see him narrating his buffoonery, even recent ones, which suggest to me he doesn't take himself too seriously and also attest to his frankness and honesty, little wonder many disapprove of him when he treats their f@&k up just the way he will treat his (OBJ comes to mind) tupacshakur: Ake reminds me of...
Wole Soyinka's "Ake - The years of childhood".
