Hello good people, please which bank currently makes the fastest form A tuition transfer? Who has paid tuition or deposit recently? UBA told me they don’t have dollars available; Stanbic has put me on queue (I don’t know when it’d go through). Are there better Form A processing anywhere else?

Technically, from your explanation, English is your first language.

However, since you grew up in a non-majority English speaking country, you may still need to prove that fact. Your school should guide you about how to, either on that same application you’re filling or upon further review.

Anyone that’s easier for you to migrate to. All three countries are at almost the same level of development.

Thanks guys. You have been helpful. Does uk schools accept Neco certificate? I am applying for Msc in Engineering and my Waec result does not show chemistry, hence the reason for opting for Neco. Can I still use the Waec result without chemistry or will the school accept Neco?

If all you need your WAEC for is English language sufficiency, then you don’t need Chemistry to show. As long as your English language grade shows, you’re good.

It’s not about having the “eye of an investor”, it’s about “order“ and doing things right. Travel is actually a topic I’m interested in... and if you go through my posts, you’d see me in that section. The point is, there’s place for everything. I can watch for opportunities in the appropriate sections where those discussions are made for and are happening. Derailing threads is not right, even if the discussions are useful. We should learn to do things the right way.

I haven’t bought any bonds or bills atm. I just exited the cryptocurrency market, because the market has obviously peaked for now to me. I got in when btc crashed to around $5,000 earlier in the year, so my liver can’t stay in longer than now. Like I posted before, I have also exited the USD market. So all I have right now is liquid cash watching everywhere carefully.

Would’ve loved to... but not really good at starting the discussions, I just love to read... then contribute sometimes. People who start the relevant discussions have been chased away, apparently. That makes me sad.

Either it has expired, about to expired, lost or damaged. For lost you go provide police report: for damaged you go explain yourself wella and dem fit ask for affidavit sef.

I have renewed my passport before with 2 years validity on it. No one asked me for long stories, I was just told to write a letter to support my application. I got my passport same day. This happened in 2018.

I also know a friend whose daughter ruined his passport with pen. He got a new one easily. People have also gotten passport because of tears or water damage. Passport defacing/damage is one of the easiest ways to renew an unexpired passport, because you can’t fly with them. So much easier than the hassle of claiming lost passport. The easiest way though is to just cancel a non-problematic passport and renew. But I know this is Nigeria and officers don’t always know their jobs.

So yea, I’m sharing those solutions because I KNOW about them. So, maybe you should keep quiet in times that you have nothing reasonable to say.

Playing the Devil’s advocate: The information at the Canadian embassy has it that Mr Fola has travelled to Gambia & Dubai.

Fast forward to Mr Fola getting a new passport and becoming an honest man. Mr Fola would have no country listed as part of his travel history in his Uk visa application.

From what I’m aware of (I may be wrong), embassies generally share important information about applications, not minor details like travel history. However, if his travel has been flagged by Canada, then that becomes an important detail that would be shared... which was why I asked if he saw his refusal letter and he is aware of his true situation with Canada.

I know of someone that did this and it was discovered when he got to Germany and they deported him. Dont try to remove it pls and you can't get a new passport unless u have less than 6months before it expires. Your only option is to throw into pit and claimed lost but u know it takes time to get back. With this u cant make January

Actually... He can get a new passport without claiming that it is lost... you can practically get a new passport at anytime without any major reasons, all you have to do is cancel the current one and get a new one.

However, if his local immigration office is poorly informed and won’t let him get a new one, there are less complicated ways to get a new passport without claiming that it got lost. For example, tearing some part of the document or defacing some pages with a biro or something, etc. This type of issue would get you a new passport easily, without going the ol lost passport route.

Get a new passport and cancel the one with fake stamps on it. There’s no serious hassle around that. Continue your process with the new passport and be totally honest in this application from now on. Don’t use any agent.

However... Pray to your creator that Canada hasn’t already discovered your fake stamps and banned you. If they’ve done that, there’s practically no way out. I hope you actually saw your rejection letter with your eyes or it was your agent that “took care” of everything?

Make sure you know the real outcome of that application and that’s what you should put in your UK application. If Canada has banned you and you don’t state it like that in your UK application, your tiny chance left becomes totally invisible.

I think you are wrong here, inviting your spouse and children to your country of origin is different from inviting your immediate family to your country of residence. Do you think an American living in Nigeria will need a statement of account to get an american visa for his legally owned children born in Nigeria by a Nigerian woman? You can enlighten me.

US generally do not ask for statement of account regardless of who is applying... but for most countries, yes, you’d have to prove that you can feed yourself while visiting before you can get a visit visa. Doesn’t matter if you’re married or born to their citizen. If you want to avoid that hurdle, the right way would be to get a passport for your family, if they qualify for one.

Email them. That’s the most reliable way to get a date. The booking system on their website is out of sync and you still need to contact them directly to get a date. Email does that fine. You don’t have to call them.

It’s a bit dangerous to apply without having TB test first. Even if you successfully gate crash, there’s also the possibility of your results not being clear and then you’d have to wait for several weeks... and this may eventually go beyond your biometric date. So be careful.

when it comes to job market both two degrees are very similar and probably can do both job function that none will be better or give you more edge . It will boil down to how you hustle ,package and sell yourself

Where the school comes in , some school offer a higher quality of learning that you gain more and then the overall experience is better . From that angle I definitely would pick Sunderland before Bedfordshire. But for job prospect all na hustle

Absolutely NOT!!! University ranking doesn’t matter for MOST of the courses I know. All that matters is accreditation of the course by the professional body, your experience and certifications.

Make no mistake, ranking matters and it matters a lot, lets not kid ourselves, there is a reason why universities are always ranked top of the league not just in the UK but all over the world and each time you mention the name of that university it comes with respect and prestige.

The sentiment you have about Bedfordshire university is not that of the best in the UK or among the best.

Universities are ranked based on: Research, teaching , Industry Income, International Outlook etc when any university is constantly performing below average in those areas then the impression of such university will not be a good one and that will likely affect your employability.

professional engineering will give you an edge in job market over management engineering because you have a core skill. This is like someone who studied information management and someone with software engineering, software engineering will always be in front foot job wise.

I encourage anyone who has the opportunity/afford to attend the top ranked university to do so without hesitation, i regretted not burning the kindle, even take a loan to attend a much better university.

Good universities are good because they are doing something better than other universities and their graduations in top companies.

This is not to say that if you graduated from low ranked university you will not get a job, NO, that is not my point.

Sunderland has far better ranking, Bedfordshire is ranked bottom of all universities in the UK depending on the ranking website.

I'm not sure that the placement will be in your field, so you may spend that placement year working in other area not related to what you are studying.

I don't know Sunderland ass a city but i know Bedfordshire (Luton) too well, closer to London, getting part time job will not be a problem. Not really cheap city to live because of its proximity to London but its affordable of you manage well. The poor ranking is a put-off

I think Sunderland will be a much cheaper city and its closer to Newcastle which is another popular city and that will help your job hunt during and after graduations..

Thank you so much Justwise for your reply. I'm generally aware of these points, it is that "putting off" sentiment that I wish to know more about its intensity, especially when it comes to prospects. But you only touched briefly on that point.

I initially wanted to go to Sunderland, but then I started having second thoughts about the uni due to prospects of the program (from what I have read, actual professional engineering would give far better prospects, than management engineering). So, I'd like to know if the trade-off is really worth it in this case. In other words, would recruiters choose to hire Msc Engineering Management from Sunderland before even considering Msc Electronic Engineering from Bedfordshire?

Btw, Electronic Engineering program at UofB is ranked very well (in the 40s), right amongst some very reputable universities (https://www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/league-tables/rankings/electrical-and-electronic-engineering). The program is also accredited with IET. The program at Sunderland on the other hand is not accredited by any institute. I wouldn't mind getting the good ranking msc program at UofB, only if the general sentiment about the uni isn't so bad. I keep focusing on sentiment, because I imagine no one would really bother to checkout the reputation of a specific program in a uni, if the general sentiment considers the uni as complete shit. It's that sentiment I want to really picture from UK residents. Would be grateful if you can also help to pick brains from residents in the Engineering sector; that would help a great deal. Thank you so much!

PS: I don't really care for the city life or student jobs or cost of living and the likes. Just specifically about the prospects/reputation of the certificate, as I have explained above.

Hello gurus in the house, I need to make an ultimate decision between two schools/programs and I need external opinions... more specifically, from those who already live in the UK, and are familiar with the general public sentiments for the schools and the programs within the UK professional scene (outside of the formal rankings and reviews that outsiders like me, look at):

1. University of Sunderland (Msc Engineering Management - 1 year).
2. University of Bedfordshire (MSc Electronic Engineering with placement - 2 years).

My heart goes for the second program, but my online reading about the UofB is seriously holding my leg (although most of the bad reviews are old... and that specific course from the uni is well ranked and accredited). So, for those already living in the UK, which option do you think has a better edge from a holistic point of view? Anyone else can also put mouth.
