Mr man, if you know what is good for you, you’ll be at the hospital now. From what you just explained, you might be having peanut allergy. When it comes to allergies, you don’t know what you have going on internally. Better to have it checked out. |
Gernny:The maximum validity you can get through the E-visa route is 90 days (3 months). The route is only for short visits. You can still apply through this platform if you want 3 weeks |
Labey71:I’m 100% sure boss. Anyone with a ban has to first apply for an upliftment before reapplying. Coz your name is already in the system. Someone has to remove it from the system. Don’t rush to reapply or you’ll be wasting your money and time. You can call or email VFS to verify. They’ll give you the contact of who to write at DHA for your upliftment. Cheers. |
Labey71:No you can’t apply again. It will be rejected. You need to apply for an upliftment of overstay first before reapplying for a visa. It’s a long process and you’ll probably need the help of someone inSA to follow up with DHA |
tataiwo09:Hello, you said you applied in January. Have you gotten your study permit now. My brother applied in February and as not heard anything yet |
haiti007:Let me give you a candid advice. The chances of getting into UP undergraduate medical programs as an international student is as good as none so don’t even start wasting your money and effort. Such programs are for SA citizens and residents and very limited space, I mean limited to SADC candidates. The only chance you’ll have in getting into a medical school here is if you reside In SA, or come here and register to write their matric exams. |
Claraola: Evidenx: Geenosko:
Stop lying or deceiving him. It’s not possible. You do realize you need a valid permit to push in for change of status? Only way out is through marriage. Being a Nigerian is going to be difficult for you. We caused it. This issue of transfer of visitor's visa to spousal or relative permit has been debated here last year and I remember uploading the constitutional court judgement in delivered in 2017 allowing the change of status of relatives of South African citizens or Permanent resident holders. I quoted all of you so that I can tell you my experience. My son was born last year September in Nigeria. Since I had PR and my wife had a spousal visa, I decided that they should come spend her maternity leave in SA. I travelled home, applied for his passport and got a visitors visa for him and they came visiting in November. I applied for a change of status for him in November. We returned back home towards the end of December. I left them and returned back to my studies in January. His visitors visa expired on the 29th of January. Towards February ending, I called home affairs and was told that his visa was still under adjudication. Put a call through in March again and was told the same story. The lockdown came and I forgot about the application. Early this month, I received a message that VFS was open for collection only and decided to track his visa. I saw that it was ready for collection. I collected his 2 years relative permit on Monday validity starting 1st August 2020 to July 2022. Visitor's visa changed. Other thing is, he is not even in SA again, but the visa was still approved. So it is possible. Cheers. |
Hello guys, I got this 2 days ago but forgot to upload it here adespecial:
|
adespecial:That’s your answer
|
rose4steph:You need to know that a travel ban is in place and almost all countries are currently in lockdown. So wait until the whole issue resolves then go about your application. Mind you even if the ban is lifted, anyone coming into SA will be required to self quarantine for 14 days so that means that if you get a visa, you have to arrive at least 14 days to your exam |
KLEINBASS:Stop spreading fake news. SA only revoke visas to high risk countries but every other country has got a travel ban. Which means that once everything goes back to normal and the ban is lifted and the airports opened, you can travel to SA if you still have a valid visa
|
SirKennie13:Hello, yes I’m in Pretoria. Am not a fresher in SA. Been here for 5 years finished my MSc and currently rounding up my PhD studies with UP |
Geenosko:Yes you can now change status from visitors visa to relative permit based on the ruling by the South African constitutional court in June this year. Find document for the ruling here. People have started using it and getting their visas converted. Please note it is only visitors visa to relative permit in legal marriage to a South African citizen or permanent resident holder SA constitutional court ruling: http://www.saflii.org/za/cases/ZACC/2019/24.pdf Find other news here https://www.dailymaverick.co.za/article/2019-08-08-concourt-judgment-on-spousal-visas-will-help-keep-families-together/ Please note, I didn’t say their marriage is not valid. Understand the point I made. |
Geenosko: IMUSTgoToUSthis: Geenosko: Incandescent:Please apply for a visitors visa and not a Relative Permit. 1. With all the ongoing issues surrounding marriages between South African citizens (especially women) and foreign nationals, which is usually tagged marriage of convenience, its a no to relative visa for now. 2. Your brother has not negotiated and paid lobola for the said lady, so according to South African customary laws, they are not married until he’s done that. Presenting a court wedding certificate at the embassy might look like marriage of convenience to the Visa officer since no concrete evidence shows he has fulfilled traditional rites of getting married to the lady. Find more details about South African laws governing lawful marriage http://www.dha.gov.za/index.php/civic-services/marriage-certificates He stands a better chance if he applies for a visitors visa and states in his letter of introduction that he wants to go finalize the traditional rites in South Africa. He can later convert his visitors permit to a relative permit after paying the lobola and registering his marriage with Home Affiars. I hope this helps |
taiwosmith03:Hello, I have followed your story, you have a valid reason. I’ll advise you email the director general of home affairs in South Africa. In May, I applied for a relative visa for my wife and after waiting for 14 weeks, there was no response. I emailed him and by the next day, my wife received a call from the embassy. By the he next week, her visa was issued. Find attached the DG’s response. Any other person with a similar story can write any of the contacts on copied. All the best |
https://twitter.com/samtoog/status/1150307132157415424?s=21 I just tweeted about the delay in issuance of study permit at the Abuja high commission, I’ll advise everyone that has a delay in Abuja to do same and call in the home affairs minister to intervene. Let’s see what happens. Fingers crossed |
saintobi009:PR is not just gotten like that. There are several requirements for it. The best option is through studies and you must qualify in a profession listed on SA critical skills http://www.dha.gov.za/images/immigration_critical_skills.pdf |
DoubleGiant:First, is your profession on the critical skills? Check here http://www.dha.gov.za/images/immigration_critical_skills.pdf Do you have a South African qualification already? That is have you completed any degree listed on the critical skills in a South African University? If both answers are yes, then you can apply for PR |
qalifa:Critical Skills |
saintobi009:No you can't with visitors visa |
Hello guys in the house. It’s been a while I came to this forum. I started here 5 years ago when I was looking for all necessary information to help me apply for my study visa and I wasn’t disappointed. I got a lot of assistance reading through different ideas and contributions on this page. After two study permit renewals, I got my PR and ID last year to God’s glory. With regards the issue of delay of processing permits, sometime in February, SA high commission said they were having technical issues and visa application will take longer than usual http://www.vfsglobal.com/southafrica/nigeria/news.html. Kindly be patient guys and wait. Hopefully, you’ll all your reply soon |
livelymatilda22: na so the guy take pack bad record reach? Ekiti, Osun, Kwara and Ambode? Abeg, he should decamp and join you in APC before the bad luck follow us to February 16 |
This guys think we're stupid. This is another way of trying to have 3 terms in office instead of 2. This zoning formula polical parties use won't favour us. The North should better know whoever wins has only 1 term in office. They should give the presidency to another zone |
What is it with Nigerian politicians and certificates? |
BluntBoy:Can we please end this here. This medium is used as a forum for people to express their opinions. Why are you saying I'm dishonest? Do you know me or have we crossed part before? There are other ways to pass a message please. It's either you agree with me or you don't and ill respect your opinion reason i said earlier that our understanding of the word differ. I've even tried to lighten moods by laughing about this. You taking it too personal. We all here to pass information, we do that and move on. I have not used any insultive words on you. The scripture recognises authorities. So many are separated as Apostles, Pastors, Evangelist etc. Those are the authorities set above us in the church. The word said "is any sick among you, let him call to the elders of the church", those are authorities. |
BluntBoy:Loolz, but the scripture said we are joint heirs with Christ, so we are sons and daughters of God the same way Christ is the Son of God. We also have Christ inheritance. And Christ also said greater things you will do. Our understanding of the word differs. I believe we're called Christians because we are "Christ like". The only difference between yourself and Paul is the anointing or unction he carries, we're all created the same. You can check all my statements, I never mentioned early church, or new generation church. We talking about faith of the woman. Christ the same yesterday, today and forever, whether it's the early creation days or the future to come. I didn't equate Adeboye with Christ, but if he's "Christ-like", nothing stops him from performing the same miracles Christ or Paul did, or even greater. ![]() |
BluntBoy:Loolz. This is getting interesting. I'm not a bible scholar, but I have little knowledge of the word. You keep talking of signs for unbelievers, but if the prayers of the woman kneeling before the chair is answered, won't that be a sign to the unbelievers in her community? We don't know what she's praying about but I believe her testimony (if she gets one) can be a sign to unbelievers. You talked about Paul not performing miracles on already converted, from my little knowledge, even Jesus performed miracle on a believer to give signs to the unbelievers. Christ raised Lazarus from the dead. My little knowledge tells me Lazarus was a believer because his sister Martha made a statement that "I know he shall raise again on resurrection day". Resurrection I believe is for believers. Like I said, I'm not a bible scholar, but little understanding of the word. If you know more, please expatiate more. |
BluntBoy:My bad for saying "Prayed" instead of "Touch". So if the handkerchief and apron touched the Apostles and could heal, what makes you think that the chair Adeboye sat on can't heal or deliver people? You said extraordinary miracles performed through Paul was to advance the gospel in the early days. Does that mean the gospel does not need advancement again today or has God changed from the days of Paul? I don't support idolatry but I support people who use their faith to get their miracles. It doesn't matter, if her faith in touching the chair can make her whole, then good. |
BluntBoy:There's difference between worship of men and faith. You didn't see her bowing down before Adeboye. When the same Apostles prayed on handkerchiefs through which people were healed, do we then say people worshiped them? This is completely different |
I agree with you. Faith works for people differently. The faith that worked for the woman with the issue of blood who touched the edge of the garment of Jesus and was healed surely didn't work for others that were around Jesus. I'm sure that woman was not the only one looking for healing that day as others possibly even walked close to Jesus but never had faith that the garment can heal them. Don't compare Jesus with ordinary [sand] Adeboye
Adeboye is not just sand because Christ himself said in John 14vs12, he that believe in me will do the works o did and even greater things. If the garment of Christ can heal, why can't Adeboye's garment heal or the seat he sits in. Keep arguing while some people are using their faith to get their testimonies. I'm not a member of RCCG but I respect the anointing on this servant of God |
I don't object to him being gay, but we need to remember that it's a crime in Nigeria to be gay. He should have chosen to practice his rights elsewhere where it's lawfully accepted |
