EmekaMD:The post is far from reality as I have personally witnessed it before. Earlier this year, I had made up my mind to secure a land somewhere around Emene and I asked a lawyer friend at the office who believed it was a good idea. The long and short of it was an agent, my lawyer friend and another friend set out to inspect a land in the said area after an agent claimed there was a cheap land a family wanted to sell off. We got there, inspected it and felt uncomfortable as the land was overpriced. After so many talks, the agent asked my lawyer friend when he would be making payments so that he could inform the family that owns the land. My friend told him he wasn't the one interested that it was me. Immediately, he said it might not fly because he is not sure the family would want to transfer the property to a non-Igbo. I wasn't shocked really because I had been hearing of that a while. Frankly speaking, I didn't have enough cash at hand and had accessed a loan which was made open. Interestingly, the agent claimed I could buy it in the name of someone while the property remains mine, but who does that? Who buys a property in someone's name when he didn't launder or commit a crime? This happened in January and it has really left me puzzled. I hear there are a few non Igbo property owners here and I've been trying to figure out how they did it. For me, a pointer to all these which supports this weird practice is the chant of 'Anambra is the only state with indigenous companies cum manufacturers'. This in itself is an indication that something is wrong and outsiders are not entertained as they could be muscled out since the goal is for indigenous companies alone. A region, state, or a society would experience stunted growth if it is not open to outsiders, and I believe this is loud and clear enough. |
NwaNimo1:Check out time is universal and it's 12 noon. So asking when check out time would be is totally out. |
It is called complimentary breakfast. Other than the breakfast, the best thing to look out for is not the crappy WiFi, rather network strength in your room. Most hotels are built with God knows what that you would need to leave your room before you could access the Internet on phones and devices. The walls are so thick that 3G would be converted to 2G the moment you shut the door to drop your things. |
sean1000x:Did you just refer to those skinny guys as 'specially trained Biafran forces'? This is interesting. |
This trend has got to stop. You cannot keep going about and leaving casualties in its wake just because you are untouchable. The FG might have succeeded in taming Boko Haram, but it has failed in curbing terrorism, as seen in these herdsmen. |
dominique:I believe it's safe at this point. Many thanks for your wahala. |
ifyalways:It doesn't really work this way most times, save it is a very big issue and big itself can, of course, be subjective. I guess Dominique would investigate and conclude. That way, we would know the truth. |
everyman:I would have loved to help. Unfortunately, there are no openings now. It was easier at the time because the said lady complained when the opening was fresh and I could have assisted in fixing her in with or without experience. My coy is multinational and I don't work in the HR department. Most of these openings are announced via internal mail alerts. Sorry bro. |
Dasgoro:Not really. Truth is, the reaction of some guys in the section can be attributed to 'urgent needs' they felt were not met. Desperation remains the only language they understand and wouldn't spend five minutes in discourses sane enough before they roam around sex-related topic. Some don't even know how to handle rejection well, which is not too good. Ladies would forever be who they are but the ability to make a lady look your way rests on you as a male because the wise ones among them would go through posts to format opinion about the person they are about to befriend. It is natural and it's a sad tale that some don't understand this. The issue in itself is not sensitive. The OP could have made the thread open by asking the ladies what compels them to respond to mails among other things. He concluded too quickly. |
God knows I would throw caution to the wind and taunt this man to no end. He started well and was even one of the very good friends of the ACJ, OAU way back, alongside Hon. Opeyemi Bamidele, despite the way objectivity was preached in reference to journalism and politics. He clearly messed with those stronger than him. |
tuscani:See it as that moment wherein the lady would be asked certain questions like 'what is your name? Do you have a boyfriend?, etc and compliments such as ' you're beautiful' among many other things. What comes next is obvious, I believe. |
Amberon11:Sure. Would do right away. |
lifeispeace:My dear, neither me nor Dominique has branded you a scammer so far. It is only natural that we pointed out the inconsistencies in your topics and assertions. Truth is, I would gladly apologize if I have indeed accused you wrongly, but so far I haven't. Yes, you took down your picture for security reasons, but I don't forget things in a hurry, that's me. I mentioned Calabar and not 'Calamari'. You're from Calabar, yes? |
And these demons would call themselves mothers. Shameless beings. |
Amberon11:Lol. It is well, Dearie. Now I understand why you have been very quiet. By the way, what happened to your mail? I recall sending you a message at some point. |
BiafraBushBoy:For someone who couldn't complete his Junior Secondary School education, what do you think he knows beyond demanding ransome? |
BiafraBushBoy:I believe he wasn't beaten. The blood patch must have been as a result of slaps or assault in his home, on the day he was apprehended. The NPF would torture you and you would still be looking fresh like that. How? |
This is why one's children must be lettered. This illiterate of a human never realised he is entitled to a lawyer and is never expected to tell the media a thing until his hearing. Another day, another Evans tale. |
Amberon11:This one that you are awfully quiet, I hope all is well? |
HiddenShadow:Step down for Nnamdi Kanu to be President? You must be high on your saliva. |
A Southern coalition against the North would be the perfect idea. The truth is, some Southern regions are disadvantaged than others in certain areas and their independence would spell their doom. |
Mennalyne:Not sure if this is true. |
dominique:You're definitely not wrong and it might interest you to discover that the OP's case had at one time been brought to light here. Could you remember a particular lady who claimed one her parents passed away and because of that, faced harsh treatments in the hands of her uncle? She claimed she would be willing to work and I sent her a PM, hoping I could fix her into an opening at the time, only to find out that his/her story is not as claimed and that her mother is alive after exchanging mails several times. He/she is from Calabar. I ran a check on her picture before she took it down. |
AgentSmith001:Captain America: Civil War had a Lagos market as one of its opening scenes. https://www.google.com.ng/amp/www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/36249415 The scene had Captain America himself, Sam Wilson and Black Widow chase some guys around the market, in a bid to recover from Uranium or so from them. |
Danishguy:Lol. This is funny but dumb. I have seen the movie and even followed up on the review on Rotten Tomatoes. To your yearly budget claim. The movie was budgeted to be $4,000,000 in box office (that is about N1.298B) while Ondo 2016 budget was N118.9 billion. Do the maths. And by the way, the Biafra claim is purely embedded into the movie. The movie is purely Science fiction which had its major setting in Iran. You guys could do anything to stay afloat, even in the face of lies. Billyonaire:Actually, it is not. Alien Outpost is a 2014 movie, and I still remember it like it was yesterday. I don't joke with my Sci-Fis. |
successmatters:I don't understand what brought Adenuga, a Yoruba man, into the discourse. Biko, don't tell me you guys are planning on conducting referenda on both Lagos and Ogun state. |
bantudra:Honestly, I was stunned and almost believed Hausas were in the picture and not the people as mentioned. It is really not hard why these folks shout Biafra. I have said it several times that the average Biafra screamer is jobless and mostly young folks. It is not hard to imagine. Just look at the pictures for crying out loud. |
I just hope someone won't fall for this sob story. Dominique, I just have to mention you now. Do you remember this lady? |
geobukky:The White House is indeed legendary. You would hear people groan and wail but in the end, they come out super excellent. Just like I complained and thought Humanities was cruel. I still thank the likes of Akande, Babalola and Uwasomba till date. OAU lecturers can be notorious, but they never fall short of what they intend to forge. |
felictorx:OAU delays a whole lot, true, but I'd tell you that the school would leave you with certain things that are not taught within classroom walls. Almost every graduate had it rough but in the end it is worth it. My time in the school was not different from most undergrads, student Union strikes, non teaching staff strikes, Mojo strike, etc., all shaped and forged me and several others into people who cannot be shoved aside in the real world. If I'm to walk the walk again, it would be OAU all over again. |
Medunah:Not infatuation, far from it. The OP is the subject of a rebound relationship. It's natural that one isn't just inclined to sex, rather building an emotional relationship with the person. Unfortunately, the relationship might not just work out as the lady seems to be seeking distraction from her previous relationship. Rebound relationships are often times more devastating than breaking up with a long time partner. |
