Christianity Etc › Re: Can One Have Sex During Fasting? by Sanchez01(m): 2:37pm On Sep 20, 2014
clem305D: you wrong on that...fasting is different from abstinence. Some people contradict both, but while fasting entails abstaining from all or some kinds of food or drink, especially as a religious observance; abstinence has to do with keeping away from one or more things we love to do esp as a religious observance. As regards the topic, am not so sure of any biblical backing but I feel one should keep away from sex during fast. Am even wondering how your third leg can function during fasting...sounds weird though undecided
I beg to disagree. When we fast, we abstain from certain things that are considered priorities; things we tend to glorify more than our spirit man and God. There is no difference between fasting and abstinence save for the fact that one is religious and the other is not. Abstinence can be as a result of our decision or will while fasts leave us no choice but to stay away, with the help of an active consciousness being made alive in the spirit man. I really hope you get this though.

Romance › Re: . Is Arguing A Natural Part Of Every Relationship? by Sanchez01(m): 8:17am On Sep 19, 2014
That is the purpose of argument in the first place, since they are two different people with different backgrounds. Arguments are inevitable in relationships. However, the question should be: 'What type of arguments?'

Partners in relationships are like two sides of a coin. The need to make the other person see things from your angle and vice-versa. As inevitable as it is, it is unhealthy in relationships. True, we disagree to agree but should the disagreements become too much, then the agreements will vanish into thin air.
Sensitive people understand that winning an argument is not important because one might win an argument, yet destroy a lot with it.
Christianity Etc › Re: Can One Have Sex During Fasting? by Sanchez01(m): 7:34am On Sep 19, 2014
Yes, one can. However, the essence of fasting is what most people don't understand. Fasting can take different forms. To fast means to subject the body and deny it what it loves most. Hence, if your body craves se.x during fast then you should't. Our bodies have ways of idolizing things, even when we don't know it.

Why do people avoid food during fast? People do so to keep the body under check by denying it what it loves most. As much as se.x is of the body and one of the thousand desires of the flesh, it is only recommended that one stays away from it during this period.
Christianity Etc › Re: Open Letter To All Muslims In Nigeria by Sanchez01(m): 7:28am On Sep 19, 2014
Wasmog, if you wrote this yourself then it is obvious you don't think. You come here spewing rubbish when Muslims have been on rampage, maiming Christians in the North? Your sickly letter scream terrorism and it is unfortunate that the likes of you come out to call for Pastor Ayo's head when you guys have done worse. I find it impossible to believe that a Muslim claim that they have been enslaved in Nigeria.

Romance › Re: Beauty Of Sex After Marriage(pics)...NL Ladies change by Sanchez01(m): 7:07am On Sep 19, 2014
Someone has been taking his history lessons religiously. Albeit, it is very unfortunate for a so-called black man to build a wall so lame around himself all in the name of understanding the black race, whereas it is nothing but stereotype.
A white kid, years back (can't actually remember the scenario properly), took his parents gun to school and killed shot his friends (I think two or so). Although the issue was raised but attention was paid to something else - Americans should not own guns. The real truth about whether the white kids are exposed to things most adults are not exposed to was never talked about. If the boy in question was black; all hell would have been let loose.
I have no problem with any race but if you think that blacks are worse than any then it makes you no different from Hitler who believed other races were inferior to the German race.
Romance › Re: He Beat Me. Should I Forgive Him And Stay by Sanchez01(m): 5:17pm On Sep 18, 2014
OP, fact is, marriage doesn't change people. It is left to those involved if they want to change or stay the way they are.

Personally, I suggest you forgive him but FLEE for your life. You sure don't want to end up with a guy who milks out your self esteem at the comfort of his anger. He has beaten you before and the truth is he will still do it. He threatens you at will because he understands that that is the only language to make you reason with him.

Say the first time he laid his hands on you was a mistake, would you also consider the threats as mistakeshuh

I honestly don't know how old you are but it would be better if you let go before you become a cement bag with sands in it. DO NOT let any guy destroy your dignity for love's sake.

Forgive him but call it quit, lest you might regret the whole thing later.smiley

One: There is no such thing as 'Soul-mates'. It's nothing but a process. Finding the 'perfect' person for you means tolerating someone with flaws you can cope with.

Two: About men who either cheat or exhibit domestic violence, I think that is absurd if you claim all men fall into any of those categories.

gede7744: l think this post is for teens and early 20s. if u are in ur mid 20s upward and u see these as benefits then u need special attention. u know why? cos this post is for unserious guys
Bless you! I shake my head when I read comments of NL ladies, at most in their early 20's, agitating for 'freedom' and a life without burdens and chains. Contrary to what many believe, guys who enjoy committments are more than those who don't.

@OP, trust me, life is much more meaningful when we, I mean guys, have someone and also know someone out there thinks of us.
Christianity Etc › Re: Should I Report him To Pastor? by Sanchez01(m): 1:06pm On Sep 18, 2014
I suggest not. Although, it may look like he is the Achan in the camp but I'd advise that you don't say a thing. He confided in you, not because he wanted you to tell a soul, but for you to just know since you are close.

Persuade him to tell the Pastors in charge so that they will profer a lasting solutiong. You owe him that. And should he reject the idea, tell him you will report to the pastors on his behalf before doing so. Don't make it look like he has been condemned for life.

Your friend's friend asked his friend out on his behalf and you are seeking counsel for your friend. I suggest you tell your friend that nothing moves without a force. Tell him to carry on and apologize to the lady for his wrongdoings. He toyed with the lady's heart and he shouldn't consider himself a macho man for calling it quit with the lady. Your friend has to apologize and even though the whole thing is over, the lady deserves to know the truth

Romance › Re: Going Back To An EX: How 'proper' Is It? by Sanchez01(op): 11:15am On Sep 17, 2014
safarigirl: you shouldn't go back to your vomit. There are good times in all relationships, but there were more bad times else (s)he wouldn't be an ex. Only insecure people return to what they're through with. Though there are few exceptions. It mostly depends on what led to the break-up
one beautiful thing is that opinions differ and it all depends on what we think and believe. You nailed it and it is as if you were there when my naughty friend aired his viewssmiley.

dhardline: At least it worked for 2face Idibia and if you feel your ex is expired then you are obviously expired toø.Its supposed to be one man and a woman together for life and not one man or woman with many sex partners then later gets married. The world just keep getting weird.
First thing: Tu Face and Annie never broke up, he just went on a spree while Annie was regarded as the main chick.
With that being said, yes, a man and a woman for life. But don't you think the person you settle with makes it that one person for you?
And more importantly, must every relationship revolve around sexhuh I does baffle me when we believe both of them walk hand in hand.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Nigeria Heading The Way Of Turkey? by Sanchez01(m): 10:45am On Sep 17, 2014
leshluap: IS NIGERIA GOING THE WAY OF
TURKEY?
•Turkey is in the present day Europe
and
partly in Asia minor.
•Apostle Paul was a citizen of Tukey
because Tarsus exists in Turkey.
•Christianity existed in Turkey for
about 1,023 years while Christianity
has only
existed in Nigeria for 172yrs starting
from when Rev. Birch Freeman came
to
Badagry in 1842.
•The seven churches Jesus spoke to
in
Revelations 2&3 (Ephesus,Smyrna
,Laodicea,Philadelphia,etc) existed in
the old Turkey.
•The disciples were first called
Christians
in Turkey(Antioch)
•Turkey once had the largest
Christian
auditorium in Europe called Hagia
Sophia in Constantinople.
•Mary the mother of Jesus was taken
to
Turkey by Apostle John and till date,
her
room has become a tourist centre.
TURKEY TODAY
•Present day Turkey now has 96%
muslims&0.02% Christians(less than
130,000).
•The Hagia Sophia(once largest
church
in Europe) was taken over by muslims
and converted to a mosque for over
400yrs and later used as an Islamic
Museum
WHY CHRISTIANITY COLLAPSED
IN TURKEY
•Emphasis on doctrinal differences
weakened the Turkish church.
•Rivalries amongst denominations
•Petty politics in church coupled with
ethnic bias
•The Turks were building #big_
cathedrals
instead of building men.
HOW IT HAPPENED
•Osman Ghazi discovered the disunity
amongst Christians and used it to
fight a
Jihad that led to a mass genocide of
the
Armenians, the Hellen and Turks of
that
day. Infact, the weapon of war used
was
designed by a Turkish Christian.
•Many Christian women converted to
Islam to save their lives and some
were
raped.
•Osman Ghazi started the Ottoman
empire which gave muslims #political_
post and made it a religion of the
state.
IS NIGERIA HEADING THE WAY
OF TURKEY
•Virtually all the mistakes the church
in
Turkey made, the Nigerian church has
made it.
•We are building Cathedrals at the
expense of discipling men.
•Disunity amongst churches
•Ethnicity in the church
•Denominational rivalry, etc.
•Sharp division along doctrinal lines
MORE FACTS
•The spiritual foundation of Turkey is
stronger than that of Nigeria and
Christianity existed for over 1000yrs
in
Turkey unlike ours which is just
172yrs
but Islam Radicalism uprooted it. If it
can happen in Turkey, it can also
happen IF we are not careful.
•The menace of Boko Haram has
destroyed a lot of churches in the
north and it may take another 200yrs
to evangelise Borno state alone.
•There is a secret agenda to Islamize
Nigeria & other African nations as
contained in Abuja declaration of
1989.
DON'T SAY IT CAN'T HAPPEN
HERE, IF WE DON'T RIGHT OUR
WRONGS AS A CHURCH.
SOLUTION
•HEART-FELT Intercession
•Aggressive evangelism- the terrorist
reached out to the youths in the
norths first and gave them AK-47 and
bombs, if
we had reached out to them on time,
they'll be carrying BIBLES today.
•Mission support:-God is holding the
church responsible for Boko Haram,
yet we are blaming the
governement.If we had supported
missions and missionaries, we would
have those insurgents to Christ long
ago.
•Unity of the church is key in winning
this battle. The last but not the least
christians should be actively involve in
politics. Enough of these muslims
political office holder with islamic
agenda
ARISE CHURCH & LETS DO THE
NEEDFUL
Pls, send to christians on your friends
list.

We sure are! I am glad Pastor Bosun Emmanuel's message is now being circulated. Christians in Nigeria must stand their ground if we are to see Nigeria become God's abode.

Ceasar1: It's really hilarious reading about people wanting their “Ex” back. I mean why would you want to take back someone who walked out on you?... To start a relationship that already ran its course? Don't get me wrong, I'm not against reconciliation. It's just that this doesn't make sense to me.
True, it doesn't make sense, just that you find most people reminiscing on the good times they had with their exes and how he/she is the only one who 'understands' them better. Ironic if you ask me. Love your sig, by the waygrin

Romance › Going Back To An EX: How 'proper' Is It? by Sanchez01(op): 10:12am On Sep 17, 2014
A while back, a friend and I got talking and he was strongly against the opinion of returning to one's 'EX', and according to him, it didn't work out because something prevented it from working out, and chances are that it would still fail if one goes back to an old relationship.

According to him, the word 'EX' is taken from the word 'expired' - why then, would an 'expired' relationship come back alive?

I have read some things on this section, particularly of some ladies saying their 'Exes' want them back. My question is this, is it really proper returning to your ex and what are the chances that it would be a success the second timehuh

FYI, nairaland is not accessible only to those in dark skin, other races come in as you do. whichever ways, your claim is dumb to the 21st century, maybe it would have be informative in stone age, when your likes where jumping from one tree to the other and those who were too old to jump, walk around on a long stick.

caveman!
You know, it brings me joy when I hear and read comments of bigots as you. Yes, my ancestors jumped from tree to tree and eventually they were able to stand on their own after the pink skinned folks bound us in chains and locks. We were (and still are) strong to think on our own and NAIRAland is a product of one of the thoughts of the monkeys whom you loathe.

Monkeys or apes, use that which best suit you, are innovative and driven with tenacity.

I presume you are in the USA - isn't it ironic? You are quick to describe blacks as monkeys when it is obvious that the POTUS, Obama, is also a monkey. What do you think that makes you if your head is a monkeyhuh
