FeliciaOja:
My dad was watching channels tv when VP Osibanjo made a video call and was taliking with the anchor.

My dad has been a cardiologist for 30+ years and he says just looking at Osibanjo face reveal that he just suffered stroke on his right side...

Looking at the video very well He pointed out these signs
1. Osibanjo right face looks duller and non responsive than his left side of his face.

2. His mouth on the right side is sloppy but on the left side is okay.

Pay Attention to the Right Side of his face.. Patient that Survive Stroke always have one side of the face duller than the other side.
Here is the video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y45CxEBFMlQ

I hope he gets well soon..
Definitely looks like something's happening on the right side of his face.

CVA? embarassed

I've not taken time to study his face on a normal day, so my analysis may not be accurate.

If your Dad's observation is correct, then this explains why the VP suddenly disappeared for many weeks. I've actually been wondering what he's been up to. It's quite unlike him. I would have expected him to be at the head of the Presidential Task Force on Covid

I wish him the best, whatever's going on in his life at this time. It's not easy occupying a leadership position in Nigeria

My fellow nairalanders, listen to my story
It happened about 7years ago.My mum attended a certain on man's church and the church happened to be owned by a family friend. My mum served with all her heart in this church even though my dad is late.. During this time,we were struggling to survive as nothing was moving atall for my family. After a while this man advised my mum to sell her only land property she had in order for her to start something. She and the man went together to sell the land not knowing this man has some mischievous plan. After it was sold for 4.3m, unknowing to me ,my mum gave this man 3.5m out of it saying that she used to sow a seed in the church and she had only 800k to herself..After covering some few expences like payment of school fees for me and my younger ones cause I was still in high institution that time, then paying of house rent and starting of a little buisness, she complained that the money has finished and she has been back to square one since then and she never opened up that she gave this man that some of money until yesterday that she opened up to us.. l have been very furious since yesterday cause she has been struggling since then with no money or family to rely on cause she's a widow and this said man has relocated his church to Abuja..So am seeking for advice, what can I do in this situation to collect the money back .
Thanks..
Absolutely nothing.

You can only reach out to him, let him understand your Mum's condition, and appeal to his conscience.

That's all I'll say for now.

What clinical trial? Maybe you should submit yourself for vaccine.
No drug was ever approved for human use without passing through rigorous trial process. It's the same all over the world. Actually, up to 4/5 phases, both to determine safety and efficacy of the drug. You can Google "clinical trials" or "drug trials" for more details

If Madagascar say they have the cure, they should give us proof/statistics/studies, to back it up.

So, you can't just expect us to start rushing for it just because they announced they have a cure. This is not sentiment abeg.

As for me, I don't have Covid, so I'm not qualified to be used for trials

1 million face masks nationwidehuh Does that means there are no tailors in other states??

I don't mean to sound like a pessimist, 3 face masks are sold for #100 among the locales in Ibadan.
Anybody can sew face mask. The question is, Can the face mask actually protect the wearer from anything?

According to the person that made the post, these Aba masks passed through certain standards and were certified.

So, I think the Aba ones should be of better quality than what everybody is producing.

As for price, I really don't have an idea of that

It is unfortunate we have lots of ignorant comments on this thread, accusing and insulting the woman for absconding or running away.
For the avoidance of doubt, let me explain how it works, firstly, sample is collected from suspected patient and sent to lab for confirmation. The patient is released to go pending the outcome of the result.
The result takes approximately 48 hours to be out.
If the result comes out positive, the patient will be contacted and duly quarantined.
From the twitter post of the governor, they already have the patient's information including her residential address. What happened to visiting the address ?
It is wrong exposing her confidential info and calling her out online.
Her number could innocently not be reachable as a result of some certain unavoidable factors.
I agree with you. If they have an isolation centre, they could have kept her there pending the outcome of the test done.

It's unfair putting out her name in the public domain

His claim that the concoction named Covid Organics (CVO) – a form of herbal tea – is curing COVID-19 patients has divided public opinion in the island nation, some 400 kilometers (248 miles) off the coast of East Africa.

Taking to Twitter, Rajoelina asked people to believe in the country’s ability. He said all profits accrued through the sale of concoction will be diverted to the Malagasy Institute of Applied Research (MIAR)...."

"...According to information from the Presidency of the Republic of Madagascar, three African countries Senegal, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Guinea Bissau, have enquired details about the CVO.

Senegal President Macky Sall has ordered the remedy after contacting his Madagascar counterpart, according to Senegalese local media.

Family › Re: My Husband Has Become A Domestic Slave In Our House & I Do Not Know How To Stop by SavageMaster: 9:49am On Apr 29, 2020
Beautykate:
I am writing to ask if you can help me to persuade my husband to do less around the house. I am worried that he is going to make himself ill from exhaustion. Also, and it is hard for me to say this to him without being hurtful, I married him for his fun personality not his work ethic and I fear I am losing him to domestic drudgery. I want an equal partner, not a slave.

We have a toddler and a baby, born few months ago. During the pregnancy, I was quite tired and run down and my darling, supportive husband started to do more and more around the house and with our son (and despite a full-time, responsible job, he has always done more than his fair share of housework). I am now breastfeeding the baby, which is tough because he barely stops feeding and won't really nap anywhere except in my arms.

So this leaves my husband doing the shopping, tidying, washing and cooking. He gets up at 6am every morning to get our toddler ready for nursery, with a packed lunch, and he drops him off before he can get himself off to work. Meanwhile, I just sit around feeding the baby!

I feel permanently guilty and as if the only way I will get my husband to do less is if I do more. The thing is that I can walk away from mess and he can't.

I hugely appreciate him helping, but, beyond the basics, would rather see him sleeping or even cuddling me on the sofa rather than trying to be on top of everything. I love my husband – he is truly the sweetest, most loving, most wonderful lover and father, but I find myself resenting the fact that I barely see his fun side these days because he is so tired that he is essentially ill – and I can't help thinking it is at least partly self-inflicted
Wow! I'm speechless.

Your husband is really a good man. And from your post, I see you have a good heart too.

I think you should discuss with him; maybe prioritize what needs to be done and what can wait; or let him know the things you need him to do, as well as those you can manage to still do inspite of baby. Also let him know you want him to cuddle you and you want to see more of his fun side. I think, with the birth of baby, an awakened sense of responsibility came upon him in the area of household chores and all that. You can actually get him to relax if you talk things over with him. I guess he listens to you.

Finally, I think it's a phase. With time, he'll still loosen up.

God bless your family oh. Some men are arguing why should they do house chores sef, while your husband dey carry the chores for head

There is this lady I like so much, even my friends know that I like her so much and will love to spend the rest of my life with her.

One day, I saw her with my friend and I later asked her why she is so close to my friend. She said they are dating each other, that she cannot marry me simply because I am tailor.

My friend is a yahoo boy, he doesn't have any work. The only way he eats is via internet scam. To be honest I was so pained, moreover she is not the only lady to have done this to me. Have met several ladies that told me that they can't marry a tailor and they end up dating yahoo Boys for my street.

They always tell me to leave my tailoring job and go hustle like my frnds to make cool money.

Guys, I am tired.. Should I leave the tailoring job and join my friends to do the yahoo stuff?

Girls keep rejecting me up and down and I am fed up.

Pls advise me
The problem is not about you being a tailor. I think it's about how you carry/present yourself as well as going out with ladies that have the same values as you do.

My tailor friend got married end of last year. He has sewn a couple of cool clothes for me. He doesn't have so much money, but he still got married to a woman that loves him as he is.

Move on. You'll find that one who loves you and loves everything about tailoring.

Point I'm trying to make is that just 'boredom ' is a wrong reason for wanting a 'soulmate '. It's a wrong foundation to build on. I don't even know what he means by soulmate; when does the Op intend getting married to this girl, or does he just want to try his "luck"?

If the Op invests time developing himself, he won't need to post an advert on Nairaland before girls come flocking around him.

Health › Re: This Is How Snakes Get Into Your Toilet Sink And Bathroom by SavageMaster: 3:44pm On Apr 24, 2020
Olaolex:
The thought of snakes in the toilet sink or bathroom is enough to make most people to get creeped out or irritated. The real truth is that these slithery dangerous reptiles really gets into people's toilet and bathroom.

Most people wonder how come these reptiles get into toilets and bathrooms, some people don't even believe it is possible but I'm here to analyze how this happens and what you should do, precautions to take in order to prevent such an occurrence.

Normally, different reptiles and rodents such as rats, frogs and even cockroaches find their way into people main building through the pipes. Snakes are very much dangerous, that is why it is of higher concern to a lot of people.

Now let's get down to business.

When talking about snakes getting into the toilet sink, some people think or assume that there's already water inside the toilet sink, but if you know about plumbing you'll discover that the toilet sit is designed in such a way that the water stays only in the sink and the pipe that leads to the septic tank or soak away is always empty and free of water.

Also, some people wonder how come these snakes get through their pipes even though there is not a broken pipe outside the house.

I'll give an explanation on how that happens, as you know snakes feed mostly on rats and rats are known to burrow or dig holes in the ground. So as Mr.Snake chases after Mr.Rat, Mr.Rat runs into it's hole thinking it is safe but Mr.Snake still continues it's chase after Mr.Rat into Mr.Rat's hole and Mr.Snake might catch Mr.Rat if it's lucky.

If Mr.Snake gets unlucky and Mr.Rat Escapes Mr.Snake would have lost it's way and then tries to find every possible way to get out of the hole and the only way it can do this is to follow the direction air is coming from and unfortunately again, that air is coming from your toilet pipe that is connected to your septic tank under the ground.

The snakes then follows this path and ends up in your toilet to give you a warm surprise when you're about to perform your daily transaction with the toilet.

There are different ways in which this can be prevented from happening.

Firstly, Always make sure that all the bushes around your house are properly cleared and well burnt so as to prevent any rodents or reptile from harbouring around the house.

Another thing you should take note of is to Always ensure you fumigate your toilet sink at least once in 6 months, there are special pesticides that are made specifically for this purpose.

Keep your toilet lid closed at all times and you can also make use of a flat tile to cover your bathroom filter when you're not in the bathroom so as to stop any further movement of the reptile though the pipes and also ensure that all pipes are well fixed and closed.

Lastly, always make sure you check inside your toilet sink before you make any transaction with it, so as to avoid any form of "stories that touch the heart."

I hope you have learnt a thing or two from this article, if so, kindly like and follow for more interesting contents.
Thank you very much for this information
