How can it be true when the national minimum wage is #30,000 and not all states have even implemented it? Private sector is even worse.

People have come and go in my life ever since then and i have always been cold. The MC dumped her two months later to marry someone else, and i had to go to her to tell her to accept me again. Don't call me a weakling, i wasn't, it was all love. She wasn't the prettiest girl i have been with and i didn't meet her a virgin, still, i was bonded. I think my addiction to her may be liken to my parental negligence. I never had love from the onset and when i had it the first time, i could not stand the face of loosing it.

After all the cheating, and well known four guys that have slept with her since then, not to mention the ones i am not aware of, we came back together. Something led to something and her pastor called us together and counselled us. Maybe because i am doing well financially now.

I know she has someone now which she isn't completely honest to me about. She has blackmailed me in the past when she gave money to a guy and had to bring thugs to my place to lie that i took her money forcefully (though she later confessed), all these took place recently and it pains me knowing how much i want her to love me.

I take drugs, it keeps me alive( you won't understand). I have a pharmacy shop in warri, a land in Abraka, and i am in my final year in school. I also trade on Forex too and has tutor few people. I am also pretty young as a 24years old guy plus the proud truth that i financed my education all through from 100level till this stage.

My mum is alive and healthy and my seven siblings are also there too. I am the most hated and that was the drive that made me the most successful yet as the second to the last child. I have done what the eldest son couldn't do and i know i should be proud of myself. My dad is battling with stroke for years now, well, he never liked me before but still, i love him as my dad and I have always been to the family house to see him most times.

The truth is, life is boring and tasteless to me. Even though Stella has reconciled and even visiting me tomorrow, i still can't see any reason to live. I have this force inside me to rest from all the struggle and pains plus loneliness of life. I guess life has been a good teacher to me but be it that my elastic limit has be exceeded, it's time to pass out. I intend leaving my shop for Stella, plus the land too and the little money in my bank account. Don't even remind me that she is going to use it on another guy. Every moment i spent with her i never regretted. She gave me human hope and even though she doesn't love me anymore, i see this as the only reward i could offer her.

So this week, i just have to put few things in place and take an overdose of tramadol to end my existence.

Can you just ask God to give you a reason or purpose to stay alive. You need Jesus more than ever now.

Your husband feels he "owns" you and your salary. Your husband is demanding info about your finances and your ATM PIN. You're refusing to divulge such information. Soon, out of frustration, he'll start raising his hands against you, and you know where such violence will lead to if it persists.

On your part, you don't want anybody to know about your finances, including your husband. At the moment, you're pregnant.

I don't know the foundation on which your marriage was built in the first place. But then, I don't see both of you lasting long in it if things continue this way.


There's a big trust issue here, in addition to many more. There's also communication issues between both of you.

I'll advise you meet a seasoned marriage counselor. Also seek God's face too, to transform both you and your husband.

I dropped out of school because no one could afford to pay my fees.
I met a guy when I was 17yrs old and he sent me back to school. He sold fruits on the streets so that he could pay my school fees. He later got a job as a truck driver and sent me to university.
I'm now working as a lawyer. My problem is that I feel I can't continue with this relationship because this guy is not the type of a man I would like to marry! !!!!
How best can I tell him that he is not my type without hurting his feelings?
I'm grateful he sent me to school but I can't be in a relationship with him anymore!
I want somebody in my own class not a truck driver! !

Two options:

1) Help him catch a vision of going to school to brush himself up academically, and support him to follow through

OR

2) Calculate all the money he has spent on your education and welfare, and reimburse same to his account.

The IPPIS doesn't have any package for payment of allowances to lecturers. Therefore, It's only the basic salaries they now earn. So how does federal government expect them to call off the strike and diligently work when they are forcefully enrolled into IPPIS and striping them of some allowances that make their salaries tangible.


BEFORE YOU CRITICISE THE LECTURERS TAKE A LOOK AT THIS;

Take home salary for lecturers after IPPIS deduction without allowances:
PhD LII is #130,000
PhD LI is #163,000 plus min. 3 years post PhD
Senior Lecturer #235,000 plus min. 6years post PhD
Professor ��‍� #345,000 plus min. 10 years post PhD
Senior Professor ��‍� #423,000....
Minimum of 3years gap with hard work. Many spend as high as 5years before they can move up the ladder of promotions.

REMEMBER
From these peanuts of a pay;
They teach a crowd for a class
They supervise multitudes
They attend conferences from their pockets
They attend seminars from this peanuts
They write and publish articles in reputable journals (enquire the cost of publishing).....etc
They undergo rigorous stress to carry out research.
They spend minimum of 4 years in BSc
They spend minimum of 2 years in MSc
They spend minimum of 3 years in PhD (in Nigeria is near impossible they even spend upto 5 years and above).

Consider their rigours, the pain, the emotional trauma, physical drain, brain drain, intellectual drain they go through just to be qualified for their job specification...

I think our Lecturers work like elephants and earn like ants, they deserve a better pay or renumeration.

In terms of welfare:
You know that 50% of your lecturers don't have good offices/furnitures.
Most lecturers lack good working environment.
Most lecturers handle/teach a crowd of students yet they still try to deliver lectures in such environment (instead of the normal 30-50 students class size).
Most Lecturers supervise projects at their expense.
You want his best yet you deny him the best.

When you compare this salary with those of other Federal Govt agencies it's very very ridiculous.
If you compare it with Universities abroad then Nigeria �� salary scale for lecturers is infinitesimally small.

Before you criticise them;
First put yourself in their shoes.
Could you have studied to PhD just to earn #130,000?
Could you have invested the better part of your life upto Prof just to earn #345,000?
Think! They may not have been the best they should yet they are among the best in the world especially if they are giving the right environment to practice.

Before you criticise ASUU/Lecturers think.
Except you are happy with the state of the university system.

NO COUNTRY CAN GROW BEYOND IT'S VALUE FOR EDUCATION.

Anybody who still believe in the scam of no sex till marriage needs to get their head checked. If only you know how many marriages have been destroyed or are still suffering because of this, you will never think of falling for such a scam.

What baffles me is those who keep going to church but yet don't know anything about bible and will keep deceiving themselves that sex before marriage is a sin (WHICH YEYE SIN).

Many will say it's formication but they don't even know the true meaning of fornication as referred to in the bible. Take for example when Joseph was dating Mary, yes we agree she was still a virgin because it was their own decision not to have sex yet but how many people realized that there were other young women that existed then as well. Many had boyfriends too and some had sex with their boyfriends while some didn't because Mary wasn't the only virgin.

The bible never condemned those that had sex with their boyfriends before marriage but it was just the divine choice of the Father to select a virgin rather than a lady that had sex already.

Let's stop all these brohaha low African mentality of calling sex before marriage a sin. God only sees a clean and a pure heart, not who had sex when or how. You all should better respect yourself and save the doctrine of marriage by testing the waters to ensure you are ready to sail on that water for the rest of your life. Not after marriage you start looking for divorce because penis is too big or too small or maybe Virgina is too tight or too wide or its always one minute sex.
