this is funny. in my first year at uni. i lived in a flat in the halls of residence owned by the university. i would say welcome to these american and british student each time they came back from whenever. for some reason they looked me like there was something wrong with me.

one day, i sat in the kitchen as they came back home from the grocery store and i said welcome and they still gave me 'what r u saying?' look. i stopped them i asked why they do not respond each time i welcomed them back and they said they do not understand what i meant.
I thought the story was going somewhere and I was waiting. . . so what happened next.

Since she is playing hard to get as you claim why not do the same as 'two can play that game,' see how it ends up. She might actually ask you out.

@ poster I have realized that you start up several topics that are so weird and different it is hard to decipher whether your male or female, educated or not educated, need help or need reaction. I don't think your confused and I don't think you want advice you just want people to reply, sort of like your seeking attention. Good for you!!

The one thing I find funny is that instead of labelling it RACISM ( which is what is has always been), we like to call it "TRIBALISM" so we can somehow heave a sigh of relieve and claim we are not as bad as "THE WHITE MASTERS", ROFLMAO!!!! I mean if you use the word RACISM, you are evil, but use the code word "TRIBALISM" and everyone is happy and goes home to their houses while it continues. Amazing, isn't it??
Maybe it is not labeled racism because of the definition of racism whereas the meaning of tribalism explains why people call it tribalism.

I'm not even talking bout the young girl because she was a hoe from her young age.I'm just thinking why would a grown ass man sleep a tiny girl like that, i saw the video - the girl looked so tiny with her tiny boobs, tiny body and tiny ass but you could see this guy was enjoying it and i bet its not even his first time
I haven't seen the video but I have been on Nairaland and though hard to believe some men just have a thing for under 18. When they hear barely legal they get too excited. The thing that is funny is that R. Kelly screwed himself over with the video proof, had that not been there it would end up as a he said she said, he's a pervert she's a tramp. But now its an he said we saw. While hear say is not admissible in court video proof is.

Exactly.

The best way to come out of Vietnam that resulted in the death of over a million people?? Is that really what you are proposing now?? Even with all we know of what happened after the pull out?? NO, this is not about wondering. Anyone who claims to be wondering is really ridiculous at this point and has little knowledge of what is happening in IRaq and I suggest the person go to an IRAQI site at least to read up information on why the war is still on or why US forces are there. This is simply about people continuing to use the WAR to play emotional games, simple. If you want the war to end, NO need to continue to play the BLAME game 5 years into it, go tell the people to stop or something and spare us the BLAME game. I have simply had enough of it and I am simply acting by telling the dude how I feel about his continuing to WHINE about it, 5 years in.
You yet have to answer why the forgotten war in Afghanistan. I realize it is hard for you to understand why people think differently than you do. . . I have a feeling the war in Iraq might end up like Vietnam where America has to just pull out.
I don't know if you know this but there is actually information coming out about why the war was started and what Bush posited contrary to what you believe so you should read up on both sides or all the sides before telling me to go find out.

@ darfur

I see you are just getting attuned to the methods of Kobo - always trying to twist arguments or points to his own leanings.
Criticizing bush is not acceptable, expressing your opinion that lives are being lost in Iraq is not acceptable, it can only be acceptable if you first SOLVE the problems in Rwanda, Darfur, and Ajegunle first. You must first of all in every post castigate every ill and wrong thing in your own country and continent (with copious proof of how you've personally solved 90% of the problems of course) before you can castigate a wrong decision by someone else, especially Saint Bush. grin

Heck till your village is full of hummer riding soccer moms (as a result of your ACTIONS of course) , you can't complain or talk about poverty in Burma! That would be a travesty - that would be WHINING. LMAOO!! grin grin

Mr. kobo whose place it is to tell us that our actions have not saved a single life, that we are just whining with no product. To express your views wherever you please is not acceptable - you must be seen (by honourable kobo of course) to be acting first before you are given the enormous privilege of speaking your mind.

You mention Iraqi deaths and he says you are more concerned about those than African deaths - classic kobo thinking. . .once again LMAO!! grin
WELL SAID. REMEMBER TO CAP IT NEXT TIME TOO.

Kobojunkie:
If you would all remove sentiments to the side, maybe we will make headway here. You do not like the war going on. That is ok by me, I really do not care where your stand is on the war. But again, It has been on for 5 years, continuing to play the blame game here and there without actually acting is ridiculous?? What do you want me to do?? We are there, we have been for 5 years, and we hope to be out soon but unfortunately, no one has come up with the best way to end this ( feel free to step up and magically end it if you have the solution) but quite trying to score brownie points by WHINING about it cause you do not like it.
@ Kobojunkie, what was the best way to come out of Vietnam? No one is interested in playing the blame game but you make it seem that because people are killed by lawlessness in other countries those that are killed in wars are therefore not very significant.

Also I don't care for your money and the powers at work know why they want the war to continue. First it was for freedom, then terrorism. It started in Afghanistan then Iraq where next. You only think anyone not in agreement with your mode of thinking is whining or trying to score brownie points. Doesn't really matter to me what you think but equating those that wonder the point of the war to a woman whining about having a child is callous and just plain ridiculous
Foreign AffairsRe: Blame It On Congress: Not Bush by savanaha: 6:05pm On May 30, 2008
Kobojunkie:
When are you people going to get over your issues and stop WHINING about this war which is already over 5 years old. It is like watching a woman WHINE about having a child even up till when the child is over five years of age. I mean there comes a time she just becomes a nuisance and the best to do is call Child services on her and put in a call to the CRAZY people's ward as well. The WAY is here to stay, DEAL with it already!!! Jeezz
Are you seriously comparing a war where people are constantly killed both Iraqis and American soldiers to a child over 5 yrs old? Wow, that is quiet impressive to know that people should now stop wondering why the useless war has not been ended because it is five years old. What do you consider the forgotten war in Afghanistan and complainants that wonder what the hell is gong on over there as well?
Maybe because I know a couple of people fighting the war, maybe that is why my worry is turned into whining. When someone you know is almost killed by the war and then has to return to fight in it tell me what your reaction is then. Thanks.
RomanceRe: Error 501 by savanaha: 5:38pm On May 30, 2008
For someone that is practicing or studying law, your storyline which is highly doubtful, is awful just awful. It is unbelievable not because it is amazing but just because I don't believe it. I don't believe your best friend raped your sister, I don't believe your best friend does law, I don't believe you do law, I don't believe you have a sister, a best friend, there is just nothing to believe. Maybe you are trying to get reactions from a fallacy but. . . I just don't believe it or you.
Music/RadioRe: R.kelly's Trial - Guilty Or Not Guilty by savanaha: 4:15pm On May 30, 2008
Seeing as this is Nairaland and some people will not have second thoughts on sleeping with an underage girl you might not get many responses. However, R. Kelly was involved with Aaliyah when she was still fifteen so there is a history. . . but the girl knew what she was getting herself into and was not uncomfortable. Now it rests on the fact that b/c R.Kelly was older he should have been wiser or that some states have 15 yrs as the age of consent.

I agree with both of you, our children need us not hosusegirls or whatever , as a child i miss my mother and father so much because they were naver at home, are they where doing was work and make more babys, 7 kids why make somany when you can take care of them i know they try but i did,t feel what they call love or attention, i have a one year old i will give her all the attention she need.
When I say it to my mother she gets angry. She did not have alot of children and she took care of us but when I see so many people in Africa not living well and having babies I agree with the Chineese and Indian government in establishing a program where people are rewarded for having one child. If you don't need the reward then have as many as you want but am sure alot of people will rather have that money for themselves and thier family. Calls for better living.

and what is that supposed to mean? what makes a strong president? judgement or noise? this guy with all his ''inexperience'' was able to tell in 2002 that the irag war is a wrong choice. what happened to the experienced guys? this year again he was able to tell americans that the gas tax holiday was a gimmick to win popularity. the experienced guys went the other way. no wonder he attracts college educated americans.

only dumb, stupid nincompoops like the illiterate racist white appalachian americans and some peeps here in nairaland will believe the words that come from hillary's mouth.

this is a woman who agreed that florida and michigan wont count, only to turn around to ''fight'' for them when she realised that she needs their votes to steal a ''victory''. now she wants to take the battle to the convention. just to ruin obama.

her motto: if not me, then the republicans can win.

after all she had already campaigned for the republicans, praising McCain, romancing with fox news channel (an established racist channel that was set up to destroy the democrat party) and bill even went to the rush laumbaugh show (a republican anti democrat radio talk show)

that monster
True true. She knows she is advocating for Obama's death.
What irks me alot is when people claim she should win because Bill was the first black president being as he cheated on his wife.

Yeah you do and so do your country men. you can't deny that SA have had a history of hatred and intolerance that has existed and still continues to exist in the society for a long period and its not going away anytime soon.

Are you the only people who have to deal with foreigners in your country? Haba what is wrong with you?

It always starts with the illegals. Soon it will be the legal, then the unwanted, then the indians, then the coloreds, then the cripples, then the darker skin blacks, then the tall, then the short.

Unitl you alone are left in the country then you will satisfied. Numskull
I don't know about the colourreds since Mpeke Mpele thinks that dark skin is bad maybe they will kill the dark SA.

First they came for illegals and I said nothing because I was not an illegal
Then they came for the legals and I said nothing as I was a SA so legal
Then they came for the whites and I said nothing as I was not white
Then they came for the Indians and I said nothing as I was not an Indian
Then they came for me and nobody was left to speak for me.

The truth is I would rather someone call me names because they are losing than lay a hand on me. Maybe the little ones are not rude because theres the eldest there but I think the middle age Nigeriens can be alittle over the top at times.

Like today, a guy called me ugly like the devil and called me bitch and I did not call him anything to begin with and when another Nigerian guy ask him what is his problem, he told the guy to kiss his black ass, undecided

And like the other day, another guy called me a Malaysian Slut and not worth for a Nigerian guy since I did not talk to this guy at all also to begin with

And last week, another person called me a LovePeddler pretending to be a virgin. He just snap out and everyone thought he had his period or something,

Now thats what I call Plain Rude, (Sorry, I don't and never would saybad words or to swear but just to give examples. So excuse me for this time. Thank you)
This is however a public forum over the internet where people have the ability to hide themselves. Any forum or chatroom you go into there is a likely possibilty that someone can start arguing for no reason.
