There are 2 factions in Edo APC. The best way to go is Direct Primary. Even if the faction loyal to the Governor notified the NWC. It is the responsibility of the NWC to approve or choose another mode of primary. Let all of the factions participate in the Direct primary and let all the party members partake in the process of choosing the party flag bearer.

My mistake, it was Labour party I wanted to say.. He was initially in Labour party, was a nobody in politics in that state at that time, the PDP destroyed and Mann the entire state

ACP made him their candidate coz of his potentials and their alignment with Labour party. He was first in Labour Party.. Even the ACP had no confidence whatsoever they can win.. PDP had multiple candidates dragging and fighting the case after d elections, until the courts gave it to Oshiomole.

He aligned with all the godfathers of the state, beg them, paid them and when he could revolted and damned them. That's just a cycle reoccurring with Obaseki.
Whoever wins, will still revolt from under him, its same measure he gave out.

He was also not in Labour Party. Instead He was the President of NLC.

At the end of the day, both candidates are either getting imposed or imposing themselves on the masses.

So its abt who has more.. Obaseki is scared Oshiomole, can influence more people, can pay more people, promise more people FG gifts while he-obaseki can pay less people.

What's more important is that all thru the permutation and combinations, nobody is really considering the citizen they want to lead.

Equally, the citizenry don't even know their power, they can refuse to vote and illegitmize the whole process or even vote one random party to make a point like they voted for Oshiomole then who worn from NCP who literarily at that time outperform his predecessors although later joined the bandwagon.

Realistically the people are the major problem, not just the politicians.

Oshiomhole did not contest under NCP. He won his first term under AC. Action Congress.

By now I expect to be hearing about Obaseki’s achievements in the last 4 years as Governor of Edo. If He has really performed as he claimed last week on Channels TV.
Obaseki and his online supporters claimed that Oshiomhole wanted to be the God father in Edo. This same Obaseki is the one running around now to look for God fathers that will impose him on Edo APC. Direct Primary is the best way of choosing a party flag bearer. Let us learn the good practice from USA.

Obaseki himself knows that He won't come second if He contest under another party and that's the reason He is now going back to his vomit. this is not the General election period, All the arsenal of APC will be deploy to Edo because that's the only state holding election that day.

Obaseki and the other Governors just went to Lagos to pay homage. Now Obaseki will realize that those he called names in public are ready to cut him to pieces. Let all candidates go for popularity test and the peoples choice be the winner.
I hope other elected politicians will learn from Ambode and Obaseki, don’t say what will those that helped you power will do when you still need their support.

When OBJ/PDP made agreement with Afenifere to vote him for second term only Tinubu stood his ground against it and after the election PDP won 5 states in the west but AD/Tinubu won only Lagos state. After then Tinubu created 37 LGAs more in the state for governance to be closer to the people and OBJ stopped the LGA allocation coming to Lagos for almost 4 years even when the court ask him to release the funds.
Today the reason Afenifere is always against Tinubu is because immediately PDP gained access to 5 states in the west, they did all they can to have Tinubu back and He told them that they can come together if they can bring back the 5 States AD lost due to their greed. During this period Tinubu left AD to start AC and gradually the party started gaining ground in the west, later he merged with other parties to form ACN and now APC. [b] Tinubu May be the most corrupt politician from the west [b] but he is more relevant in politics than OBJ in the west. Anytime any day.

Obaseki’s track record and achievements in 4 few years speak eloquently of the good quality of his leadership.
His opponent for the party ticket on the other hand is an unstable cross carpeter seemingly desperate for power, currently being prosecuted in court for corruption & not even a registered member of the APC in accordance with the constitution of the Party.
These are the issues that are worth interrogating by enlightened minds for us to make progress as a nation.

How do you know that his opponent is not a registered member of the party? Just because Obaseki’s deputy came out to say that? You will see that majority of those advising Obaseki wrongly will leave his camp few days to the primary.
Ize-Iyamu was part of the founding members of APC in Edo,
Obaseki is having issues with the party structure in the state and He can’t win election on his own when the party is not in accord.
Let’s even forget all Obaseki done to Oshiomhole.
He divided the party in the state with his dictatorial attitude.

The choice before Edo citizens is a Governor with visible track records of achievements and the one called a thief by his now godfather Oshiomole. he is still even currently facing corruption charges in court. Edo people I believe know the obvious & better choice between the two.

Was Atiku not called a thief by OBJ? Same OBJ backtracked and supported Atiku. In politics there’s no permanent Enemies.

When last did you hear Oshiomhole speak about the Edo election?
He is a former Governor and also the National Chairman of the Ruling parry in the state. So you must hear his name in the news one way or the other.

Is this not the same Ize-Iyamu Oshiomole called a thief?? Is it not the same Ize-Iyamu currently being prosecuted for corruption allegations in court?? What has changed?? The 14 APC HOA members Obaseki refused to inaugurate for almost a year is not enough reason for his party to deny him the second term ticket?

Remember He will be travelling inter state and the police on the highway will surely extort him if He can't provide Allocation of number plate.

So Obaseki and his Deputy are now asking Buhari to intervene on their behalf. They didn’t know that PMB is still the leader of the party when they refused to inaugurate 14 APC HOA members till date.
They forgot PMB when they were attacking anybody that did not support their attack on Oshiomhole.
Same Deputy went to submit petition to IGP and also request that Oshiomhole should be arrested.
They forget that they will still contest under the party platform that have Oshiomhole as the National Chairman.
They should not play the victim card here. Let Obaseki and POI meet at the primary. Maybe the best candidate win.

The fact that Obaseki made attempt to remove a National Chairman of a party is enough for the party to suspend him. How do you go around making noise, that a party chairman elected by 36 states plus Abj has been suspended by Edo state chapter of the party? Was that not ridiculous to the party, PMB and Oshiomole enough?

You have time to reply them... Obaseki refused to Inaugurate 14 HOA members even after the National Assembly ask him to do the needful.
His Deputy went to Abuja to submit petition to the IG of police to arrest Oshiomhole.
The Depty also said that Oshiomhole need to take permission from the sitting Governor anytime He's coming to Edo.
I said it the day Abba Kyari died that Obaseki is gone.... After Oshiomhole won at the Appeal court he said he has forgiven everybody but few days after Obaseki and his praise singers were everywhere shouting and abusing Oshimhole....

I don't take Obaseki's side but we are all well aware of a Governor who moved legislative business to his residence in the Government House and removed the roof of the State House of Assembly.

The same Governor that moved legislative business to Government house has a reason... How can 5 members our of 32 members impeach the speaker just because the President as at that time was behind them?

Obaseki didn't learn from Ambode's mistakes... I still remember when his Deputy went to Abuja to ask the IGP to arrest Oshiomhole. The Deputy also said it on channels tv that Oshimhole should take permission from the Sitting Governor before entering the state. Both Obaseki and his Deputy forgot that they will still need Oshimhole's NWC for their second term ticket.

These are not newly acquired Buses... They were purchased by Amaechi some were used for as free school bus. Parcked close to Government house gate after SPAR. Nice gesture by the Government but which route will be buses plying? Will the buses available in all the 23 LGAs or just Obio-Akpor and Phalga as usual?.
