Ahmed0336: In fact eh that guy you quoted got me wondering If my brain is still functional Don’t mind them. When Obaseki was acting like a loose dog they were all clapping for him that he will deal with Oshiomhole. Now that Oshiomhole is giving Obaseki in doggy style they’re shouting No to God fatherism. I said it that PMB will not help him. |

Esseite: Get you stories straight...
The house was inaugurated with the Governors consent and proclamation, the 14 lawmakers absconded because they were not happy with the inauguration which they were were absent but communicated (case study Saraki vs NASS 2015), which could not get them to elect Oshiomole's mole as speaker.
They decided to not attend plenary again to be sworn in which deemed it fit for the speaker to declare their seats vacant as allowed in the constitution after 181days of not representing their people.. You’re twisting the story that is on public domain. The house was inaugurated in the middle of the night with just 10 members. When the NASS ask Obaseki to re-inaugurate the house what stopped him for over a year? APC sent 2 committees to Edo to resolve the issues but same Obaseki refused to meet with them. What about the destruction of properties of those that are not in his camp? Remember how he went to use trucks to block the streets that leads to Oshiomhole’s house in GRA. His deputy’s petition and press conference at Abuja asking the IGP to arrest Oshiomhole? Asking Oshiomhole to always seek for his permission before coming into the state. And the last one plotting and celebrating the removal of Oshiomole by a FCT high court. Obaseki didn’t have good advisers and now he’s facing the repercussions of his actions. |

Esseite: The Edo APC wants indirect primary while the Abuja APC wants the direct primary.. But APC Constitution didn’t give the stateAPC power to choose or organize primary. It is the responsibility of NWC in Abuja. |

Xda59: How can he be the judge when the election is going to be conducted by inec? The deal is, oshiomole has majority of the party members on his side so victory is sure if it is direct primary. You’re right at the bolded. Obaseki didn’t have good politicians as his advisers. Now they’ve misled him and his making it look like it’s only Oshiomhole is the person fighting him. |

Web2020: Did Obaseki told you he is avoiding primaries. The last time I check funke was sentenced for holding birthday party in Lagos as a result of disobeying social distancing rule. Suddenly, because of hatred and hypocrisy Covic19 does not matter again. Obaseki primary duty is to protect life and properties in Edo State. Until NCDC officially declare Edo State free of Covid-19 no direct election that will expose Edolite to the virus. Obaseki you are a true son of your father. Does that mean the election will not hold because of Covid-19? |

youthofnaija: I thought Oshiomhole was actually smart... Obaseki will get APC ticket. Please take a look at the uploaded image (APC constitution). There are 2 factions in the state and as it is now the party constitution gave the NWC headed by Oshiomhole to take over the running of the party in the state. The changing of the party secretariat has nothing to with the Primary organized by the NWC because all correspondence will be addressed to the National Office in Abuja. Not all the State EXCOs are with Obaseki’s faction as at this time. So this article can’t work against the party. |

TreasureJunky: Please what's the difference between direct and consensus method? Direct is when all registered party members lined up behind the poster of their choice candidate in their respective wards and the results will be announced immediately. Collation will be done LGA by LGA (Direct Primary is a mock election) Consensus is when all the party aspirants and excos choose to support a candidate without going for primary. Example is PMB was the consensus candidate of APC in 2019 election. |

Kweensavvy: This Oshiomole is ready for Obaseki... Rigging (trade mark of the APC) is about to go down!
I was seriously wondering how Obaseki would scale through the primaries considering same Oshomole will oversee the entire activity of the party (he's the national chairman). That primaries is within is territory.
It would take the grace of God for Obaseki to scale through this. If he does, the other stage won't be a headache.
Already that one is already changing all the changeables lolz
Good luck to Mr Governor. At the bolded is Obaseki’s problem and he didn’t manage all this issues very well. He should have wait till his second term before fighting the parry National Chairman who is the person that will submit the party candidates name to INEC. Obaseki didn’t learn from the best politicians. |

Desmondkk123: Oshiomole is taking this too personal, or he has a motive that when the aspirant he is backing up win, is he going to overthrown him?? He is not taking too personal. Obaseki did all he could to remove Oshiomhole as the party chairman, when the court judgement that removed Oshiomhole was delivered Obaseki was seen on TV jubilating and his men came out hard to say so many things about Oshiomhole. Now that Oshiomhole maneuvered his way back to power he is paying Obaseki back in his own coin. Unfortunately for Obaseki his faith lies in the hands of Oshiomhole as regards the APC candidate for the election. |

called2Bsaint: But the court has given recognition to the fashion loyal to Obaseki. This is where the trouble lies. If you read the news you will see where the NWC said the Obaseki led faction Chairman is not known to the NWC. This is the reason APC need to go the Direct primary way so that non of the factions will decide the out come. But unfortunately for Obaseki the person he is fighting is the head of the National Party and the Judge in the primary. This is like having a referee supporting your opponent in a football match. |

If the APC flag bearer is produce through the Direct Primary there won’t be any reason for them to lose the election to the runner up. Except there’s a case of forgery like experienced in Bayelsa. |

If a Sitting Governor who is going for 2nd term can’t win his LGA for his party in a general election, but is here claiming victory in his ward. Does that mean only his ward will make him win the election in the state? |

How is Yaya Bello of Kogi whom Oshiomole gave the ticket for a second term without any hassle better than Obaseki to his state and people? Yet, no response.
I pity for all of una lives and future.
Keep hailing and clapping for your collective enemies. The reason why Kogi APC choose indirect primary is because there was no faction in the state Exco. But in the case of Edo there are 2 factional chairman, if you read the news you will see 2 people claiming to be chairman of the party. In a situation like this the best option is to go for Direct Primary to let the party members choose the flag bearer than allowing one faction to decide and the losing part will go to court. APC is avoiding Zamfara and Rivers issue. |

I said this last week that the Electoral Act as amended gives the NWC to choose the mode of primary but those online e-warriors who don’t know anything about the law we’re here calling us names. Obaseki is a goner even if he move to another party he will be disgraced after he hand over. Oshiomhole waited forever this time to put the final nail on Obaseki’s political coffin and now he will bury it. No Gazzetted order can stop the primary election because the electoral act and the constitution overrides the useless order Obaseki is relying on. Sometimes I wonder how all this politicians pass in school. Cc: duwdu |

One of two things will happen.
Lagos state scenario or Zamfara state. One of these must happen.
Peace Ogun/Imo scenario. |
