Tunisia scores and here we go with the blames. Counting 1,2,3.. "Why did Eguavon start Okoye,Moses is too selfish,Iheanacho is not doing anything,Awoniyi is short one,Eguavon should not be made permanent coach,he doesn't know how to read a match,Rohr is better than Eguavon",etc etc. |
Mynd44:Anybody that believes the goverment of Lagos State would reduce what commercial buses used to pay from ₦3k to ₦800 unfortunately has to have his/education reviewed. Assuming they are claiming that is what they used to pay to LGs,who is going to stop the LGs from collecting the dues that amounted to ₦3k formerly?Alausa? The state government just fabricated that 3k levy from their a rses to make the 800 look good. Nowhere,I repeat,Nowhere in Lagos where bus drivers paying 3k daily for LG dues. This is an INCREASE not decrease! |
Enizzie:Wanted to say same thing. Unless you are opening a large scale provision shop,at the end of the year the person may find the profit,if any, won't even be enough to pay for the next year rent. There would be the people that would start owing u after 3 months of regularly buying and paying. There will be the odd customer that returns an item bought saying it has expired or even tastes or smells odd after opening! Or the lady that would buy a cream and claims it's not original & has "spoilt" her skin and wants a refund!! Remember for each beverage or item that gets spoilt or damaged u have to sell about 10 to recoup just the cost of that one alone. Unless the shop is in a family compound and the person is using it to keep busy, provision shop should be one of the last options. |
Criminals everywhere. One of Buhari many achievements, highest number of criminal millionaires created by any goverment in Nigeria, second only to those created by IBB. |
This is a clear distortion of the news and nairaland should curb menace of people either posting fake news or distorting a story to suit their objectives. Even in the report it was stated that the people came to rob,got caught and burnt,as unfortunately happens in many Nigerian towns. But the Op distorted it as being those of ipob members enforcing the sit at home |
Vistra40:Totally false and wrong. YarAdua was being fronted by an incumbent,Obj who was doing the running around for him! Secondly, prior to Yar'Adua's electoral reform, further deepened by GEJ,elections were for all intents and purposes shams. The FG used to rig elections and the state governments rigged further. So even if YarAdua didn't do a single campaign or was in his sick bed,the election would still have been rigged in his favour. |
Like someone said in another post,Tinubu is going round the country meeting people and contacts. Where is the PDP candidate? Where are the likes of Umahi that has also officially declared for the presidency under same APC?Why is Umahi not going round the states liasing with his Co governors and fellow party members round the country. Where is Anyim Pius Anyim.Even if u don't go round as Tinubu is doing, make your presence known in one way or the other. I don't like this kind of sheepish attitude.Unless others are just clowning and making noise, this is the time for any serious candidate to also be consulting widely. Even if one is to vote someone on sympathy grounds or out of dislike for Tinubu, the average electorate wants to see same desire from other candidates if not this may turnout to be a lopsided contest. At least when Atiku contested against Buhari he was going round the country, even meeting people he knew were against him. |
nairavsdollars:This is the funniest thing I have heard this year. I give you an eg:there have been persistent rumours that Tinubu had a hand in the death of Funsho Williams,a stronger politician than he was back then.Has it stopped him from being the godfather of Lagos today?I bet even some family members of Williams may even be amongst his staunch supporters. Nigerian politics is not determined by any principle or animosity, just selfish desire |

No where in that preaching or sermon was the word of God mentioned, discussed and shared. Just giving, giving, cars, money, land, rewards of giving and still more giving and abundant wealth. The logical question now is,so all the poor people in this world are poor because they refused to give and god of Ibiyeome is only interested in receiving before giving back? So God, according to the pastor cannot out of the abundance of his Heart bless someone with wealth, without that person giving him material thing first? If this is so,the god he has cited here doesn't look like the one the bible taught because this one is quite greedy,or He has changed with time! |
I hope the girl gets caught to allow us get the truth of the matter. There are convenient gaps the woman left in the story that makes it sound somehow. Her emphasis on exact monies stolen and value of jewellery is one such red flag. She even went as far as making the point that the Keke person charged her ₦7500 when they went in search of d girl. My other point of contention is this:she said she gave her brother ₦50k and her mum $100 from the ₦200k and₦500k she brought out. Most people would stay in their rooms and remove d amount they intend to give someone. Why bring out all that sum outside when u only intend to give someone a fraction of it. Most maids don't have access to owners rooms unless thel need owner is around for security purposes. For a maid that spent barely 1 week to have found a way to access a private room, locate monies and jewellery while the parents of the owner are around raises some suspicion. Finally, most employers would have gone straight to the police who would then straight ahead arrest the agent that brought the maid,to produce her. For her to have taken this lackadaisical attitude on the agent, not putting any pressure on him, also looks somehow. It's not impossible that the maid actually stole money and jewellery, even if exaggerated, but also not impossible in this country of criminals,,liars forgerd and all sorts of strange things is that this maid ran off for completely different reasons and this woman has made up this stealing story. Arresting her would bring out the truth. |
The first truthful life/personal/family challenge tale on nairaland for some time. First, please, get out that thought of "wasting him".That would change the whole course of all of your lives,to the regret of everyone. You people have tried, but no one gives up on a family member, especially if the means are there. Taking him for a psychiatric evaluation should be the first step. Then if he is successfully managed for any psychotic disorder he may have, get to ask him what he has passion for in terms of meaningful employment. The drinks and cab choices may not be his preferred means of venture choice. If any of you run your own businesses let him come stay and go with u to the business and learn. It also helps to keep an eye on him.If thereafter he doesn't like the line of business, the person he is staying with or he himself would have got an inkling of where he is likely to be meaningfully engaged and self sustaining. Otherwise,he maybe one of the lost causes that may need to be confined to a psychiatric home long term, but remember confinement in a home, even in a government one is a long term, financially demanding plan,so that should be the last resort if other attempts fail. |
Investigative:But this favours Tinubu better than direct primaries. Almost all delegates are annointed by state governors and majority favour Tinubu's candidacy particularly the mega delegate states of Lagos and Kano. |
nanauju:True. The affiliation to not just APC but Buhari in particular is what stands specifically against him. Tinubu was the first governor to have an Ibo person in his cabinet,in each of his 2 terms. He is married to a staunch Christian wife. Economically he is sound as shown with how he managed Lagos State when obj deprived the state of fg allocation. I maybe wrong on this, but if it were down to Tinubu and Osinbajo,I may prefer to Tinubu because I feel Osinbajo may have been infected with the virus of archaic economic policies, restriction of freedom, corruption and all the monumental failed attributes that follow Buhari. |
chinjo:This is where all our problems started. This singular lie,on the basis of which he was elected,is what has caused us 8 miserable, painful and blood soaked years. The tragedy is that any properly educated person that is alive to witness his misrule, still believes it. This is the singular event that should convince anyone that Buhari is corrupt:an acclaimed man of integrity that promised to declare his assets during the campaign on being elected initially refused to keep to the promise. When the pressure became too much and he reluctantly did so,he finally said he had "at least ₦10million in his account". That is the hallmark of a lying, corrupt soul, knowing a proper public declaration would shock even his most fervent, even if illiterate followers. |
Even though he has done well, but it's too early in my opinion for us to just conclude he should get the job on a permanent basis. We should wait to see how well he does during the knockout stages and how far the Eagles giving the competition. |
I am pretty sure there is more to this story and the Facebook poster is actually the disappointment. He introduced a lady to a random guy to help her or he introduced the lady to a guy who gave her the ₦100k for sexual or marriage purposes and the girl didn't want that or didn't fancy the guy. The Facebook poster should be arrested for trying to traffic a lady for sexual or marriage favours. |
Expect fares to go up because it was clearly made known in the release that union dues won't be affected. In otherwords, these commercial operators would still pay all the assorted union dues and then pay this extra ₦800,all on a daily basis The rate at which every space and major street is being turned to a bus or Keke stop in Lagos and every major road has an Union ticket issuer/money collector,I am beginning to feel each councillor, council chairman, union leader, traditional ruler,Baale and Omonile head have been allocated route areas to collect money from. One of the major employers of labour in Lagos State now seems to be Union work because every street would soon become a union due collecting point;your route pass the street u must pay. Lagos has now officially legalised agberoism. No wonder they don't obey lastma or police any longer. |

Are all trucks that leave with the driver pictured or u people had suspicions about this particular driver? |
It's always the cousins seeing murder. We should also bear it in mind that many hotels are just unlucky to harbour Hotel guests with underlying health issues. Many of them are innocent of charges of murdering their guests for ritual purposes. The neck and lap injuries could be from the handlers that were carrying him to the morgue or the morgue attendants themselves when moving him,not necessarily from any homicidal act. |
Dunamis009:If this was actually a 2015 post, then you are a Nostradamus of our time |
This is what that governor meant when he said people in the NorthEast now sleep with their 2 eyes closed:under the cattle herder's rule the Nigerian state has given up the fight against Boko Haram by negotiating a truce with them to cede some portions of Nigerian territory to them.Under the conceded territories BH and its affiliates will enact Islamic laws as suits them, govern the territories, appoint judicial officials and tax or impose levies on individuals and businesses. In exchange the terrorists would cease attacking military formations and allow people living in those areas to go about their lives,so long they pay dues and obey the terrorists and no longer Nigerian government rule. |
Their 2 eyes were closed |
Craftily drafted to f ool their zombies and full of lies and propaganda as is their stock in trade. They said the killings in Niger State is caused by bandits running from military onslaught in other states in Northern parts of the country, but BH terrorists and bandits are still operating on a daily basis in Borno,Zamfara and Katsina, etc. So how can they running away but still operating simultaneously in these other regions, unless they now have ghosts. |
Maxymilliano:Kai!This brought tears to my eyes. This singular massacre of almost an entire family would have seen a president with intact faculties go on national television to vow that the killers would be made to pay for the crime. But here we have a brain challenged, incompetent bigot that can't comprehend simple questions asked in an interview, being supported still by some people. Even God seeing the extreme timidity and the unexplained, weird behaviour of Nigerians in the midst of extreme suffering and daily loss of lives like animals in a jungle, must be tired of intervening in anything Nigerian. |
If this is not a joke, this one should return his school fees and his parents should force him to go learn a trade because this one does not act like someone that passed through a proper higher institution and capable of using his number 6. |
Ndume the f ool was spitting up and down that nothing like that happened. By tomorrow they may upgrade to "just 3 policemen were abducted". |
He even surprised me. He has a thick accent but you can't fault his grasp of the issues and appropriate responses to questions asked. Buhari's problems are that: (1)He doesn't have a grasp of issues (2)He doesn't understand the questions asked, where he does remember them. (3)His answers to most questions are completely off radar that you begin to ask yourself if you the viewer are the one that forgot the question he is answering. (4)He has a very limited range of answers to questions. If you ask him for eg,the kind of Nigeria he wants to leave after leaving office,he starts telling you of how cattle used to pass through where the present third mainland bridge is;or how Uthman Dan Fodio used to be one of the biggest farmers in 1900;or worst still, how to get office chairs supplied back in the day,a minister had to write a memo to the permanent secretary who then takes it to the typist, from there they would take a taxi to the secretariat to get it typed, come back to sign it,before it's taken to the gateman in ASO Rock, who calls the people supplying the goods to check the prices, etc etc.Totally unrelated, annoying bull crap. Orji Uzor maynot be competent enough, but from this interview alone, the difference between him and Buhari is like that between an almajiri (Buhari)and a secondary school graduate with added computer skills(Kalu). They are wide intellect years apart. |
Of course every sensible person knows the FG of the cattle herder was just trying to save face by claiming Twitter has met conditions set for it. Where their lies came unstuck and became laughable is the claim by one FG clown that twitter has given the FG access to backend protocol to control content. If twitter does that they would become the laughing stock of the world and may even see a crash in stocks once it gets out. Buhari and his government was built, funded and sustained on a foundation of lies and propaganda. It intends to leave office that same way. |
goslowgoslow:Even after summarising the definition for you with different dictionary definitions, you still can't even understand! Your case is a sorry one. As I guessed you didn't receive any meaningful schooling and now pouring your frustration on nairaland. Humble yourself and admit you have a very poor brain capacity and help may come your way. |
goslowgoslow:Thought as much. Even with word correct, you still can't know which is the correct spelling. |
