WannaHowzit: Gauteng premier Panyaza Lesufi has slammed critics on social media for “fat-shaming” a newly recruited crime prevention warden in South Africa.
Lesufi at the weekend unveiled 4,000 crime prevention wardens who will patrol the streets of the Gauteng province (encompassing Johannesburg and Pretoria) to strengthen law enforcement.
The wardens graduated at a parade at Giant Stadium in Soshanguve, Pretoria. Among them was Mahlatse Tseko, who many said was not “fit and agile” as required in the job description.
He said Tseko would not be working alone in fighting crime, saying, “This is a collective effort.” The salute sef get K-leg |

TyroneP: ‘Japa’, a lingo in Nigeria for deliberate exit from the country especially for greener pastures abroad, has been a constant happening over the last few years with students, professionals and partners forming the chunk of those fleeing its shores.
As enticing as the idea of being in a relatively ‘better’ country is, the experiences of people who have left have continued to prove that truly ‘there is no place like home.’ Taking a look at the diverse peculiarities of Nigeria, here are five things you will miss if you find yourself abroad. Nigerian Foods
Food is peculiar to every country. And Nigeria, with its plethora of ethnic groups, has a slew of foods its citizens don’t joke with. From Amala, to Akpu, Ogbono, Bread and Beans down to Moi Moi, these are foods that are dear to every Nigerian, and no amount of civilization can unplug the relish for these foods.
The moment you are leaving the shores of the country, you are as well leaving behind these ‘unique’ delectables whose tastes are never the same even when taken outside of their place of origin ( Largely because they’re transported to other markets with lots of additives that change the organic tastes ).
2. Weather
If there is a thing in Nigeria that is highly underappreciated, it is the weather. Nigerians in the diaspora have always expressed their struggles with the frosty weather abroad, and how much they miss the cozy and friendly weather in the country.
3. Family and Friends
Moving to a new country most times entails leaving behind family members and friends who you might not see for as long as your stay abroad. Though technology helps us connect beyond boundaries, the feeling of being physically around your family members and friends is matchless.
4. Owambe
Nigeria is ‘big’ on parties – and that is on period. Flamboyant, lavish, expensive, food-filled, dramatic, these features of the Owambe parties are unequaled anywhere in the world. It is one of the many things that make Nigeria exclusive, and being in the country unparalleled.
5. Free Amenities
Abroad you pay for almost everything from as high as electricity bills to as low as water bills. Their social amenities are prioritized, and it works in a way that you cannot evade paying for the bills of the amenities you use. In Nigeria, water bills are scarce as almost everyone has their own system of getting water; indiscriminate parking of cars is common but can’t be dared abroad without you being ticketed.
https://www.vanguardngr.com/2023/04/5-things-you-will-miss-when-you-japa-from-nigeria/ All the things you stated here are the reasons I hate Nigeria. I'm not really a foodie so anything you serve me I'll adapt and adapt well. Don't get me started on the weather , I burn up easily and feel more right at home under the AC even without clothes and during rainy days. I abhor getting to mix with people , if I can not shelve it I'll meet people but if the opportunity arises to evade people I'll gladly evade them , yes this goes for family as well. Owambes is the same reason as above In Nigeria nothing is free , what you feel is free is being collected somehow somewhere else. Last month PHCN billed me 59k for electricity that didn't last for more than 8 hours each day , do you want to talk about transportation , some days , especially rainy days you pay as high as 1500 for a bus ride from Lekki to Oshodi. Wouldn't you rather pay exactly for what you have used |

She was still attached to her ex. I guess she loved him dearly but the guy didn't want to commit after dating for years so she was using me to spite him or make him jealous so that he could commit , they were also on a break at that time so she actually wasn't cheating on me but she was always on the phone with him. Caught her many times and asked if she still wanted to go back to him but she kept saying I should give her time to get over him. So I chopped my own and made the choice for her by dumping her after getting my fill of her , I'm not remorseful in anyway. |

Hand drying from towel If I hear flush and 5 secs you open the door. Whatever, I had in mind that evening will NEVER happen. I thought I was the only one like this , mine may even be worse than yours as I'll avoid any contact with you. KristineLG: Take Note!
You NEED a Visa to Get to Barbados
Some many questions, disappointments and disapprovals when you tell clients what they need.
Kindly note, with respect to what you some of you have read online.
It's visa free to Barbados for Nigerians, very correct.
Is there a direct flight from Nigeria to Barbados?
Is there a connecting flight to get you to Barbados?
If you understand the questions stated above, you will definitely get the answers you need.
Some say I don't need a visa, it's visa free, therefore which airline takes you there without getting to stamp you passport?
YOU NEED A VISA TO ENTER BARBADOS
The idea of consulting with us is to tell you the information and guidance you need for your trip.
