thegoodjoehunt: Only thing constant in life is change. If Ye Shiwen is innocent, do you know how she will feel. I remember when I made an excellent grade in secondary school in a music test. The teacher accused me of copying. I felt bad because I really worked hard for that test. Many still thought I cheated and I was so hurt. Let us not accuse anyone one of doping till they are caught.
Touche!. . .and I agree that's why I said any athlete accused of using PEDs is innocent until proven guilty but I couldn't help noticing you ignored the question I posed. thegoodjoehunt: As for Lance's case, they might just be trying to make themselves look innocent after they whole world knew the obvious. You do realise Lance "could" be stripped off of his 7 Tour-De-France titles right?. . .and the shame & stigma is better imagined. |

thegoodjoehunt: Don't mind them. If anyone is doing well and isn't from USA, then he must be on drugs. But to be fair, the Americans hound their own athletes too.
Remember Lance Armstrong, the American Cyclist and 7 times record Tour-De-France winner?
Despite retiring from professional cycling, the US Anti-doping Authorities are still on his case and have even charged him to court over doping allegations despite him never testing positive.thegoodjoehunt: See as they want to kill the Chinese swimmer Ye Shiwen and now bolt. When they did it and dominated for years, none of them said anything. The reason why Ye Shiwen performance in this Olympics is raising so many eyebrows is because she's returned faster time than the men.
In the final of the 400m individual medley, she swam the last 50m freestyle even faster than the American male swimmer Ryan Lochte did in the Men's event.
How is this possible? I mean it stands to reason that a **top class professional** male swimmer with stronger arm and leg muscles will swim faster than a female, abi you disagree?
Anyways, like I said earlier. . .any athlete accused of using PEDs is innocent until proven guilty. |

I find this story interesting. . . .as in, no one knows more about doping than Victo Conte '60 percent of athletes at the Games are on drugs,' says BALCO founderhttps://images.smh.com.au/2012/08/09/3541376/art-victorconte-620x349.jpg Victor Conte, convicted owner of the now-defunct BALCO laboratory that was at the centre of a global steroid scandal, said on Thursday that the drug-testing programme at the 2012 Olympics was irrelevant.
"It's basically propaganda to come out and say this is the most expensively-tested Games ever and 'we're doing 6,000 tests'," Conte was quoted as telling The Times newspaper.
"You have to put your hook and line in the water when the fish are biting and that was nine months ago. Is it easy to use drugs and benefit during (the) Olympics? Yes."
The British newspaper also quoted Conte as estimating that "60 percent of athletes at the Games were on drugs".
Scientists have been working around the clock at a specially equipped anti-doping laboratory on the outskirts of London analysing more than 6,000 urine and blood samples during the Games.
Any of the 10,000-plus competitors can be required to test anytime, anywhere -- trackside, poolside, in the athletes' village or in private houses -- and several have already been thrown out of the Olympics for doping.
Conte's BALCO laboratory in San Francisco supplied drugs to leading athletes including Britain's Dwain Chambers who was banned for two years after testing positive for the designer steroid THG in 2003.
Chambers was picked for the London Games after becoming eligible for selection in May when the British Olympic Association's policy of lifetime Olympic bans for drug cheats was overturned by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Conte was sentenced in 2005 to spend four months in prison and another four on house arrest. SOURCE |

I doubt all these accusations would have been made if Bolt were American.
Me thinks the Americans are just sore over losing their dominance of the sprints hence the resort to this mudslinging and trying to undermine his achievements.
It's no coincidence one of the first peeps to allude to his use of PEDs was Carl Lewis. Anyway, nothing stays hidden under the sun forever, so if he's using PEDs, it'd be revealed sooner or later
Until then, he's innocent. . . . . |

olempe: I got my brand new HP630 laptop in February and I installed a ba3 bar application on it whch shows the ba3 life when charging and wen power's off.
The ba3 used to show 4hr after it's fully charged as at that time, but later it reduced to 3hrs:30mins. But on July 2nd, I went to NYSC camp and left the laptop with my younger bro, by the time I came back last week, the ba3 life has reduced to 2hrs:30mins, on Monday 2hrs:22mins, as at yesterday it has reduced to 2hrs:18mins...
I hope my 6months olds brand new ba3 is nt dying.. Help needed on the cause and what I could do. Thanks gurus in the house. Me thinks the battery app gave you a false result as a 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery (which I assume came with your HP630) will last for max 3hrs (could be less depending on the running applications and how CPU intensive they are).
Battery life decreases with use and IMO, your battery life dropping from 3hrs when fully charged to 2hrs:18mins after six months of use is not abnormal. Also, the "I pass my Neighbour Generator" is not good for charging laptop battery as it reduces the battery life so if you're using that please STOP.
All in all, use & enjoy your lapy and when it's battery life is less than 1hr, or it can't hold a charge anymore. . .get a 12 Cell Lithium battery that will last 6hrs. |

Hi-tech tests to catch Olympics drug cheats at London 2012 By Matthew Knight, CNN July 31, 2012 -- Updated 1059 GMT (1859 HKT)(CNN) -- More than 6,250 samples of blood and urine will be tested during both the Olympics and Paralympics -- four years ago in Beijing that figure was around 4,500 -- with around 150 scientists on duty around the clock.
For the first time in Olympics history, a private sponsor -- pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) -- will be aiding the effort, providing the facilities for the scientists to carry out their work.
The $30 million state-of-the-art laboratory in Harlow, Essex is a short distance from the Olympic Park in east London and is fully accredited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
"I think it's a significant involvement," WADA's director general David Howman told CNN.
"The laboratory will have everything it could possibly need in terms of equipment. If athletes go to London, they know if they are cheating they are likely to be caught."
Professor David Cowan, director of King's College London's Drug Control Center and chief scientist for the Games, is delighted that GSK is helping out.
"These laboratories are the most high-tech labs in the history of the Games, analyzing more samples than ever before," Cowan said.
With GSK's support, Cowan and his colleagues have been able to develop "super-fast, super-sensitive technologies" capable of detecting prohibited substances.
"Across the range of instrument in the lab, we reckon we can pick up things you haven't even thought of," Cowan said.
"I think we'll soon be away from the days where designer drugs beat the analyst. I'm hoping this will be the Games that actually prove that."
Howman says the list of banned substances runs to 10-15 pages, with hundreds of drugs currently prohibited.
The fight continues and the sophistication continues on both sides. You find that athletes and those that advise athletes are more sophisticated in what they do than they were 10 years ago," he said.
But he says the London 2012 program is "very, very good," reiterating that drug-takers will be found out. I don't think Ben Johnson would even get to London nowadays -- I think he would be picked up in advance, and many athletes now who think they can get there will be swept away by pre-Games testing," Howman said.
"There were 80-90 athletes who didn't go to Beijing because of pre-testing and I presume that the same sort of number might arise this time around. http://edition.cnn.com/2012/04/12/sport/drugs-london-2012-olympics-laboratory/index.html |

On a serious note, read the story below cos it seems to me you've taken your patriotic fervor too far LONDON 2012: ALL MEDALISTS TO BE DRUG TESTED AT THE OLYMPICS
London 2012 will see the biggest anti-doping operation in the history of the Olympic Games.
Half of all the competitors are to be tested for drugs, with 150 scientists set to take 6,000 samples between now and the end of the Paralympic Games.
Every competitor who wins a medal will also be tested.
Team GB's Phillips Idowu, Beth Tweddle, David Weir, Graham Edmunds and Marlon Devonish are fronting a campaign highlighting the anti-doping programme.
Sprinter Devonish won an Olympic gold in the 4x100m relay at the 2004 Athens Games.
He said: "Winning an Olympic medal is the best feeling in the world and as an athlete it's so important to know that anyone who stands on the podium has got there through their own hard work and dedication, not by doping."
Team GB sprinter Dwain Chambers and cyclist David Millar will compete in London after the British Olympic Association's policy of punishing drug cheats with lifetime bans was overturned by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
More than 1,000 people will staff the anti-doping laboratory, with up to 400 samples tested every day for more than 240 prohibited substances.
Double gold medal-winning Paralympic swimmer Edmunds was part of the winning 4x100m freestyle relay teams in Athens and Beijing.
"Winning medals is like an addiction," he said. "Once you have one, you want another.
"It's my biggest motivation. And knowing you've reached the podium because of all the hard work you've put in - nine sessions a week, two hours each session, three gym sessions a week for four years - is the greatest feeling.
"I'm confident that everything possible is being done to catch drug cheats at London 2012 and that makes these Games really special." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/olympics/18849517 |
