Honestly, I don't have the answer. TheGuyFromHR, can you assist.

Regarding, 1. Can she do her internship remotely with any firm outside UK and 3. ...affect her student Visa.
There's a ray of hope from Sheffield Hallam. Your sister's uni might operate similarly. Perhaps, it applies to 'all'.
https://www.shu.ac.uk/student-placements/10-things-you-need-to-know-about-placements

4. You can take up a placement abroad, or closer to home, or perhaps both
You aren’t limited to Sheffield, or even the UK (at least not forever, keep an eye on our Coronavirus FAQs). If the type of opportunities you want aren’t in Sheffield, don’t worry! Students find placements all over the UK and internationally, which can be an incredible life experience. If you’re thinking of travelling outside the UK for placement, we have a dedicated international placements page.

Kindly also note from SHU
10. Your placement needs to be formally approved, and there’s a deadline!
Finally, as placements are an integrated and assessed part of your degree, they need to be formally approved before you start. This approval also makes them legal in some cases, e.g. if you’re being sponsored on a Student Visa. The best time to get your placement approved is immediately after you have a job offer from a placement. ... ...

1. Can she do her internship remotely with any firm outside UK. especially an Audit firm in Nigeria pending the time she will get an offer in Uk?
2. What is the implication of not getting the internship before June 10? Will her course be changed to research placement. ?

Just to emphasise the excellent response from TheGuyFromHR
ILR: skilled worker (Tier 2) --> 5 yrs
ILR: student (Tier 4)/PSW --> 10 yrs
ILR: global talent (researcher/digital technology) --> 3yrs or 5yrs

To the babe, since she's already doing IT Audit with NHS, she stands a good chance of getting a sponsorship from an employer or even NHS.
If she's undergrad, better to finish first.
If she's postgrad, finish the course work at least and attempt (credible) publication.
While at it, let her consider ISACA's CISA certification to supplement her UK work experience.
With a postgrad, CISA and 3yrs UK work experience in IT audit (especially if she got involved in innovative areas beyond the normal ITGC), she might stand a chance of Global Talent (digital technology) route [emerging leader / ‘exceptional promise’]

TheGuyFromHR:
1. No to the first half of the question, and yes to the second half. She's on a student visa, so she is not being sponsored.
Sponsorship is a specific process whereby the employer tells the Home Office you are working for them and you are given a COS number (same concept as a CAS number for students) to apply for a Skilled Worker (former Tier 2) visa. If you get a skilled worker visa, you have to spend 5 years on that visa (you can change employers) to qualify for ILR.
2. If you are on a student visa, all time spent legally in the UK counts towards the 10 year ILR route, including student visas and the post-study visa.
hustla:
The babe works in IT Audit with NHS and she's on a student visa (20 hrs)
Does it qualify as sponsorship and towards ILR?

Kudos @Viruses. #innovative #ingenious
For those that might want wider reach, you may substitute the 5G enabled phone with a 5G (CPE) router (most should.
Seems 3 has a 5G router on contract for about £20 pm (5G Home Broadband Hub on 'special' with £60 pre-paid Mastercard). EE and Vodafone seems expensive with their offerings.

If you can, you might want to source Huawei 5G CPE pro range (H112-370) router

For standalone 5G router, see https://5g.co.uk/guides/best-5g-router/

Viruses:
You might not go with this option but let me still put it.
I and my household use 3 sim only contract. We put the sim in a phone and every other devices use it's hotsopt. Smart tv, Netflix, laptops, phones etc all connected and works absolutely well.
Unlimited data, no cap. £16/month
Confirm that your area has 5G with 3 network and the phone is 5G enabled as well else don't try it.

Yep, 5 years for most: H&C/skilled worker (Tier 2).
If however you are academically inclined, you may roll into ILR in 3 years. Not a route for many though. #GlobalTalent See https://www.gov.uk/global-talent-researcher-academic
Same 3 years apply for Global Talent (digital technology) #leader (exceptional talent). It reminds me of the good old HSMP.

giselle237:
info can be found here :- https://www.gov.uk/indefinite-leave-to-remain
Depends on your route- 5 years or 10 years. Each must be lawful/legal
By now you should know which one you have started on
For tier 2/H&C/skilled worker you need to spend 5 years in UK to get indefinite leave to remain (ILR) and one year after ILR to get citizenship and passport.
5+1 = 6 years

@Bigfolk, kindly pay particular attention to the thread's elder admonition/guidance [Lexusgs430]. Being precise, logical and factual is critical in matters like this. From what you stated, you already had most of the essentials. Just ensure you remain focus on the issues in dispute (with little emotions!). Your factual statement of case will go a long way.

You alluded to possibly one of the documentary proofs eluding you.
... Smart meter was installed 5 days b4.... So I could not submit meter readings
On the contrary, you can invoke 'shift in the onus of proof'. Essentially, since it's a smart meter, the landlord and energy company ought to have the readings (including the pattern of use).
Simply state this factually. Something like ...
At about five days, or thereabouts before moving out of the said premise, a smart meter was installed by [insert] energy company. Thus, a snapshot reading is available or ought to be available from the landlord and/or the energy company. Furtherto, I request the daily readings for the five days period (dd-mm to dd-mm 2022) being the last five days preceding and on the last exit day, for which I do not have reading. I allude, to my understanding or knowledge that the daily billing ought to be in the region of circa £5 per days or ought not to exceed the stated £5 for the periods without reading ...

@Bigfolk, you might want to rethink or revisit this part. Kindly note we can only input based on what you inferred or state or on assumptions we make.
£5 per day equate about £150 pm or about £25 for the 5 days.

Kindly also read more about smart meters.

The issue is that we have two kids, 6 months and 2years +. We understand that paying for child minder or nursery is very expensive. We plan on telling her employer that I will like to work with them and ask if it will be possible to give me an alternate shift with her always so we can have at least one person taking care of the kids at home.
Is this a good idea?

If I understand what you enquire, one of your concern is continue with studies or not.

Gurus and elders had clarified this on this thread. I can't recall the page.
However, just to chip in, the UK Gov explicitly allows you. Also, most universities clarifies this.

What you can and cannot do
With a Skilled Worker visa you can:
- work in an eligible job
- study
- ... ...

Overview from Gov.uk
A Skilled Worker visa allows you to come to or stay in the UK to do an eligible job with an approved employer.
This visa has replaced the Tier 2 (General) work visa.

KCL (Kings College) emphasise that you “must intend to work”. Invariably, working becomes primary and study secondary! Ditto, the reverse

USW (South Wales) goes further to put beyond doubt
If you are in the UK in a work related immigration category..., you may undertake study that fits around your work. There is no condition which prohibits study. Therefore you are free to undertake part time or full time study whilst you are working. You should however be mindful of the following issues:
Work/study balance ... ...
Length of the course and visa expiration date ...
Leaving and re-entering the UK ...
What do you intend to do afterwards? ...

Kindly note that a number of UK universities have not updated their websites: Tier 2, Tier 4, Tier 5!!

Pacypatty:
Good evening gurus, in a situation where a student on tier 4 visa is about switching to tier 2 visa and still want to continue her studies will it be possible? And what are the advantages and disadvantages. What positive or negative effect will tier 2 visa have on the students dependants still in Nigeria?

Pls make everyone advice us pls.

I just came out of a ban (from another thread). Thanks to the mods for the release.

"Remuneration is payable in arrears.
An employee is typically paid for the period worked. Hence, salary at end of month.

"You will be paid for each calendar month on the 5th of the subsequent month
You are deemed a contractor whose timesheet for the month must be completed, collated, turned in, verified, signed off. The operative words are 5th and subsequent month

or on the preceding working day if the 5th of the month falls on a non-working day) by BACS."
Ensures that you are paid at least a day before a bank holiday. More so, say Sun (5th) is a non working day, payment is made latest by the 4th or most likely Fri 3rd.
These are nothing to worry much about. Ensure, you are in control of your timesheet (paper or electronic)

"BACS Please allow up to 5 working days for transfer to be completed."
Payment will be from the employer to your nominated bank account (effectively a direct debit). For some, it just 24 hours, however, it might be around 2-3 days. The 5 working days is for the employer to cover themselves legally/risk
BACS UK Payment System is simply the interbank settlement/clearing: BACS was previously the acronym for Bankers' Automated Clearing System PS: just think of Nigeria's Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc (NIBSS)

lightnlife:
Afternoon House,
I'm about to take an offer and this clause on renumeration looks funny to me. Is this a normal practice in the UK?
"Remuneration is payable in arrears. You will be paid for each calendar month on the 5th of the subsequent month (or on the preceding working day if the 5th of the month falls on a non-working day) by BACS. Please allow up to 5 working days for transfer to be completed."

Please I have some questions to ask
1. Can I become a frontend dev if a start learning from next month till the end of the year ?
2. Will I be able to achieve this with the remaining months (with intensive training)?
3. What are my chances of getting gig(job) after this training

I'm also another thing, is that I think going for a physical boot camp ( Lagos ) will help me for this intensive training
Please I will love to know if anyone can recommend a good and less expensive physical bootcamp for a newbies like me that will enable me to achieve my goal of becoming a frontend dev within 9months ( but I will have a small side business to fend for myself during this period)
Hoping to get response ASAP

TravelRe: Please Naira Landers, How Do L Land A Job In UK ? by semmyk(m): 9:10am On May 19, 2022
Dear OP

A lot of UK recruiters might not take more than a microseconds or 3 secs to discard (dispense with) your application (as it appears). Kindly note this is based on how your posting/inquiry reads. Obviously, one do not know how your CV/resume is
NB: This is not an invite to post your CV here. Don't!

A couple of pointers
BSC in Electrical engineering
Does your certificate or statement of results indicates BSc(Hons).
If so, you should be able to say in your applications that you have an Honours degree
You might want, in addition, explore getting NARIC certificate assessment (statement of comparability) by NARIC (now UK ENIC or Ecctis). See https://www.enic.org.uk/Qualifications/SOC/Default.aspx

certification in automation engineering
UK recruiters tend to thrive on specific. However, I keep saying be specific but not overly too specific. Find a basic of what is 'essentially' necessary
For instance, Certificate: automation engineering - covering
Programmable logic controllers (PLCs): Siemens, ABB ..., Distributed Control Systems (DCSs), SCADA, industrial Ethernet/MQTT/ZigBee, applied programming Python, C, C++, MATLAB, LabVIEW

Indicate only what you've studied. Do not 'dump'/list for listing sake, it might count against you. Of course, it's also an opportunity for you to start self-study new communication protocols, programming, FBD..., and gaining experience of them.

4years work experiences
Just as the term automation engineering, control and robotic is becoming 'ambiguous' (with the onslaught of 'IT'), likewise it is essential to address what and how.
For instance, size of PLC system or alternatively impact of PLC system on production outputs, revenue, risk ...

One more thing, ensure to tweak each covering note/letter to reflect each position's desired competency and experience: without having to be found blatantly lying...

All the best.

It appears from your other post, you seek MSc.
An MSc is postgraduate. There are two primary types: taught and research, and others inbetween.
You need to think which one you'll want to pursue. Kindly note that the research process is similar to that of PhD.
For SCM, you can get through the list of the Google search. Most MSc SCM (and derivatives) might be "taught".

3. In law, facts are #critical. Law of evidence will in most likeness be determining factor in the scenario. Hence, documentary evidence will be collaborated with oral. So brace yourself for it.

PS: I always wish divorce don't happen, as I believed in #marriage. However, I've come to know that there are times they are inevitably inevitable.

The Gurus (Omopapa responding to Avalon7) wrote on upwork sometimes back. I checked them out, looks use able, interesting. Haven't had the time to 'bid' for gigwork though.
www.upwork.com/

ayo84:
Can one get a freelance job or any internship with an European company working from Africa.
omopapa:
... ur moniker on upwork and Fiverr will most likely not be your official name and even if it does, there are a million John Pauls out there.
...
avalon7:
...? I have fairly successful gigs on Upwork and fiverr and I'm curious as to if this would count as self-employment/freelancing and what will happen if I'm discovered to be earning money on these platforms while studying? THANKS FOR YOUR RESPONSES
