For every person in a an African church that finds prosperity, you have hundreds of others still stuck in abject poverty, holding onto the false hope they've been sold instead of recognizing ecenomic reality and responding appropriately.

The African church is one of the reasons for the runaway poverty in the continent and that's because we have elevated pastors to positions of unquestionable power. Unlike politicians who we can't question because we are afraid, we refuse to question religious leaders because they make themselves out as God on earth with the power to make rich and poor.
