That seems to be a smart, pragmatic step. When you've run out of ideas in any area of life, call an expert! |
If the question is so obvious, then maybe it doesn't even need to be asked? |
https://www.nairaland.com/img/vactive.png I just got this tip from a close friend of mine. Here's how to browse on your phone if you're a Vmobile Nigeria Network Subscriber: - Compose a new text message and type wapgprs - Send this text message to the number 184. - You will recieve the settings on your phone as SMS. Select "save settings". - Start browsing! - Visit wap.nairaland.com to access the Nairaland Forum from your phone. Share it with your friends - it seems to be free for now. seunsmith, welcome to Nairaland! |
hot-angel's question is important, because you cannot do any serious business under anonymity. You have to tell us who you are, if you want us to see you as a serious contender in online payment. It will be nice to have an online payment network that will allow users of independently-run websites like Nairaland to be able to pay for online services, and not just physical goods. Your Nigerian competitors seem to be etranzact and interswitch. Interswitch seems to have better technology, but their marketing is [i]woeful - and so Christ Embassy Online is the only known merchant on their network. Since Mastercard is now in Nigeria, you will also be competing with them - they have the advantage that holders of their cards can purchase goods and services from most sites on the Internet. |
What exactly is the difficulty you are facing with the WAEC Online Registration website? We at Nairaland will be glad to offer our assistance and guidance. Are you preparing to write the next WASSCE exams? |
Can you describe the jobs you performed as an Electrical Installation and Maintenance Engineer? Can you tell us where you worked, and what exactly you did for them? |
Can you tell us what an administrative officer does? |

Love, to me is: - When she's obviously not perfect, but you don't care. - When you want to spend the rest of your life with her. - When you want her to be happy all the time. - When she's cheating on you and you still want her. - When you want the very best for her in all areas of life. |
Wow, Vexxy, that must be the worst Valentine's day gift possible! I'm not sure if I've gotten one in the past - if I have, then it must have been a cheap card with a hand-written note. My ideal Valentine's day gift? A debit card with thousands of dollars loaded! ![]() If you've been recieved a really nice Valentine's day gift in the past, why don't you tell us about it? ![]() |
Tell your <snip> cousin to leave the area himself/herself if the other members of his family are stubbornly insisting on staying. if you must die, let it be for a worthy cause or an unavoidable event. If they suffers in this storm despite all the warnings, one would be hard-pressed to mourn for them. This is called suicide. ![]() |
To have legitimate kids? Tax benefits? More respect from the society? |
If you have any information on the unrest in the Niger Delta area following Asari Dokubo's Arrest, please keep us updated. Especially if you live in Port Harcourt, Warri, or the surrounding areas. |
The era of the cyber-cafe is soon going to be over in Nigeria. Once people can get Internet access at home for 5,000 naira or less, only the most savvy entrepreneurs will be able to convince enough people to come to their cafes to browse. Cyber-cafe network? Only if the cafes are being used as gaming centers, etc. Which means up-to-date hardware must be installed, contrary to cmmon practice today. |
This is a joke I found on the Internet I was a very happy person. My wonderful girlfriend and I had been dating for over a year, and so we decided to get married. There was only one little thing bothering me , it was her beautiful younger sister. My prospective sister-in-law was twenty-two, wore very tight miniskirts, and generally was always flirting with me. She would regularly bend down when she was near me, and whisper some dirty words to me, smiling. It had to be deliberate. She never did it when she was near anyone else. One day "little" sister called and asked me to come over to check the wedding invitations. She was alone when I arrived, and she whispered to me that she had feelings and desires for me that she couldn't overcome. She told me that she wanted to make love to me just once before I got married and committed my life to her sister. Well, I was in total shock, and couldn't say a word. She said, "I'm going upstairs to my bedroom, and if you want one last wild fling, just come up and get me." I was stunned and frozen in shock as I watched her go up the stairs. When she reached the top she pulled off her underwear and threw them down the stairs at me. I stood there for a moment, then turned and made a beeline straight to the front door. I opened the door, and headed straight towards my car. Lo and behold, my entire future family was standing outside, all clapping! With tears in his eyes, my father-in-law hugged me and said, "We are very happy that you have passed our little test.we couldn't ask for better man for our daughter. Welcome to the family." And the moral of this story is: Always keep your condoms in your car! |
"The outpouring of emotions over the death of pro-democracy activist, Chima Ubani and Tunji Oyeleru, a Vanguard Photojournalist continued yesterday as more Nigerians expressed grief over the incident. Their bodies are expected in Lagos today. "Both men lost their lives on Wednesday in an automobile accident while returning from the Maiduguri leg of the national rally series organised by the Labour and Civil Society Coalition (LASCO) to protest the recent increases in the prices of petroleum products." http://www.thisdayonline.com/nview.php?id=29000 "The widow of foremost activist and Executive Director of the Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO), Mr. Chima Ubani who died Wednesday in an auto crash after taking part in a rally to protest hike in the prices of fuel has alleged that her husband was killed." http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2005/sep/23/national-23-09-2005-001.htm Automobile accident. Too bad. |
hot-angel, give lanre a break. We are in Nigeria and in a bid to get something at a cheaper price you might be tempted to buy from a teller that doesn't offer any useful warranty. |
My ideal job is my current job - that of a website administrator. I prefer to work for myself, and even though I'm not rich at the moment my aim is to be a millionaire and later on, a billionaire and someone with International clout and such. |
Ok, it's not true, but if you watched the video of the what happened last year when she gave away free cars, you'll find it so funny. She was jumping up and down just like in the picture, shouting, "Everybody gets a car! Everybody gets a car!!" The woman were hysterical, jumping up and down, hugging each other, screaming, etc. It was the funniest thing I ever saw! |
How old are you, lexyflexy? It matters. Because there is an age where even a proud and obstinate 'African' dad will be forced to be considerate sometimes (that is, when you are about 2 times his size ). I have a problem with the way Nigerians (mostly Yorubas) see the relationship between children and parents. I have no advice for you, bro, but only good wishes! If you don't want things like this to keep happening, go and win your own bread! |
Hello whiteshark. We are here to give you the attention you desire. ![]() |
angela k, so even if I believe in reincarnation as babies and animals, it will work for me? |
So you want a free man too, heh? What about all the lovely men on this site? |
Kalu has refused to substantiate his allegations despite being given the opportunity to do so by the EFCC. It appears he's just making loud and empty noise . |
According to the Onion article, it seems the women are expected to date and marry the free men. And it was a surprise! Make sure you read the entire news article . |
I'm thinking:
[li]Two large battery inverter/power supply units to deal with frequent short power outages (I currently use one)[/li] [li]A tiny petrol generator (what wattage is ideal?) to deal with prolonged outages. It should be able to power a fan and two computers. And a strong flame-proof metal container for the petrol.[/li] [li]I'd love to have a Microwave Oven, but with inconsistent power supply ...[/li] [li]A gas-powered cooker for all cooking needs. Is an Oven necessary?[/li] [li]Facilities: A good, cheap, regular supply of water is essential.[/li] [li]Location: It must be close enough to Fixed Wirless ISPs costing < 15,000 per month.[/li]
|
In the spirit of Oprah's 2004 $7 million 276 car give-away last year, Oprah Winfrey has just given away 276 free men to deserving members of her audience! https://www.nairaland.com/img/free-men.jpg The Onion reports that, "Winfrey watched elated as the men knelt before their awestruck new mates and delivered gallant kisses and professions of undying affection. The men Winfrey gave away are guaranteed to enjoy snuggling, to find the few extra pounds gained over time 'cute,' and to have read at least three books by the poet Maya Angelou." http://www.theonion.com/content/node/40759 What do you think? |
I can't really answer your questions - I'm making similar enquiries myself - but: - Let me mention a good property website called www.ip4properties.com (property industry experts). - One wonders whether you're thinking of moving to Nigeria and why ... I'm trusting that other members will be able to answer your questions. |
