Is President Obasanjo not a Christian leader? Isn't he the one that summoned Benny Hinn to Nigeria the other time, and didn't he call Pastor E.A. Adeboye to pray for him another time? |

The best advice I've heard in a long time! ![]() |
I don't understand how I am wrong. Can I as an English speaker, outsource a project to a software development firm in China if their employees only speak Chinese? I'm not such a big believer in cultural identity. Anything that makes me feel that I am different from my brother who is white or who speaks Hausa will eventually lead to racism and tribalism. I prefer to draw my identity from my individuality and humanity. |
Wow, what an observation! |
Olumo Rock in Abeokuta is one of the places she might enjoy. I've been there. I've also heard about the Yankari game reserve and Obudu hills (venue of Gulder Ultimate Search 2). |
Unfortunately, the issue of inability to bear children is not listed as one of the conditions for annulment of marriage. I guess the man would have to try to get a divorce because the woman should not have decieved him on such an important matter. I don't think a woman worthy of marriage would do such a thing. |
Special note to people viewing this thread for the first time: This discussion has expired. I'm currently attempting to monetize the forum without imposing any subscription fee. The issue is suspended, but not necessarily closed. |

Shockreaction, I'm laughing at you because you don't seem to understand what romance is all about. Romance is all about entertainment, not utility. It's all about the feelings you generate. Calling his girlfriend every two hours might seem less efficient than simply going to see her, but that's exactly what makes it so romantic. Does it make sense? Probably not. But it works, and that's what matters. |
Matrix, so you want to measure laide's statistics? Why don't you check out her picture? |
Actually, some big companies give out their projects to Nigerian web design firms who know how to market themselves well. MTN Nigeria's website (MTNOnline.com) is maintained by a company called Tavia Technologies. Our professional web developers simply need to learn how to market themselves better and produce results more consistently. I am quite certain that we'll get there some day. Outsourcing is a global trend, and we're not the only country where people in "IT" are complaining that their jobs are being taken abroad! |
I believe that the world will be a better place when all of us can understand each other. One of the reasons why India is becoming an Infotech superpower in the world today is because of their educational system's focus on the English language, the language of the Internet.. In Nigeria, we are fortunate to have that same focus. If you understand English, then the moment you are connected to the Internet, you can start exploring and learning. Because you already understand the language. So I'm not bothered by this decline in the use of our native languages. In fact, if it is accompanied by an equivalent increase in our mastery of the English language, I'd say it's a positive development. I've held this view for years. |
Is it that some of us not comfortable with the heat? |
The way I see it is this: you can entertain a girl without much money; You can make her feel really good. But without money in your hands, she won't 'settle for' you. If after a little half-hearted effort she can't get you to move up to a higher level, she'll go for another man who is rich. And if you ask her why, she will say "yes, I know that Bleep loves me and he's sweet and everything, but I just discovered that my heart is with this other guy; because love is mysterious". Nigerian ladies for you! |
To me it's no big deal to reveal my age. If you think I'm young, I'm flattered. If you think I'm old, it means I will get more respect. Either way I win; July 17 is my day. |
I love the fact that Desola's first post was not marred by any grammatical, spelling or formatting errors and needed no editing whatsoever. Nairaland Oldies, let's learn from her example! |
To tell you the truth, I don't understand the joke at all! |
Let's go over mamba's statement again: "Everyone payed $10, minus the $1 they got back, it's $9 each, so $9x3 = $27 + the $2 tip it's = $29, but in fact they payed $30" This is the corrected version of the statement, emphasis mine: "Everyone payed $10, minus the $1 they got back, it's $9 each, so $9x3 = $27 minus the $2 tip it's = $25" The statement "but in fact they payed $30" is a fallacy. They actually paid $25. Mamba is just trying to confuse us. . |
IAH, there are many virginity threads on this forum. You can use the search box to find them. 'Would you prefer to marry a virgin?' and 'virginity? pride or shame ...' are quite interesting. |
Why are you pretending that you don't know the question? |
The Argentines were good at setting offside traps; they caught our attackers off-side so many times during this one match. |
Well I hope any lady I'm planning to marry does not make the mistake of "testing" me by such (deceptive) methods. Especially Fox's method! If you use any deceptive method to "test" your fiance or boyfriend, then after he "passes" your test, you may discover that you have "failed" his own test (by being a liar and deciever). If you tell me something and I know you're lying, I will ask you "are you sure?" If you repeat it then that's the beginning of the end of our friendship (not to talk of relationship). I won't scold you, I'll just withdraw. I'm not a lab rat for anyone's psychological experiments. :-o Once I discover that you've told me a lie, I will ask you "are you sure?" and if you repeat the lie then that |
CimonJorr, are you volunteering for the position? |
Ka, I think you read my mind a lot! I don't like multi-level marketing programmes either. My advice to members of these forum: be very wary of MLM programmes, especially if you're desperate for money. |
Well now it's 1-1, and I'm no longer interested in the match. |
38 Minutes. Penalty against Nigeria ![]() |
