Hello Chizube,

The craving for a 'true friend' is present in all of us. Unfortunately, the harder you search, the more you get dissapointed, because all friends will be disloyal, critical, hurtful, unapologetic, and insensitive at times. Human beings will be human beings.

But the moment you stop searching for (true or perfect) friends; the moment you stop thinking that friends will cure your loneliness; the moment you choose to be happy with yourself; the moment you are convinced that you will be a happy person with or without a true friend ... that moment is when you start having friends that are close to being true friends.

High expectations will always bring dissapointment. I believe that we need to learn to "manage" the friends that we have and make our (imperfect) friendship as pleasurable as possible. We need to learn not to depend on friends' approval for our happiness. And we need to learn to minimize friendships with people whose values are not compatible with ours, because such friendships will only lead to strife.

What I am trying to say is that 'true friends' come only to those who have learnt to be happy without them. So give up on your search for true friends and learn to be hapy with yourself and with the friends you have today. Try to make friends with people who value the same things you do.

When we say Power = Work / Time, it does not mean that power reduces as time increases. It simply means that with more power you require less time to get the same amount of work done.

In the same way, when we say Money = Work / Knowledge, it simply means that with more money less knowledge is required to get the same amount of work done.

My interpretation of your result is true in real life. If you want to design a website you could:
- Spend weeks learning HTML, Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, et cetera, or
- Simply give it to a professional web designer and pay him some cash.

So you don't have to know so much if you have money. You can use your cash to hire those that know. That is why I believe the best knowledge a young man can have is knowledge about how to make money without crime. Once you know how to make money, you can use your money to hire people who have knowledge in all the other areas of life!

Sometimes, when you say sorry to some people, they see it as an admission of guilt even though you may just be doing it to mend fences with them. The same people may have done worse things to you, but they will never say sorry. If you fail to demand an apology from them, they will think they are simply right.

I believe that men and women are unique. I can compare a particular woman with a particular man and tell you that I value the woman more or vice versa. It depends on the individual. However, discrimination against women as a group is uncalled for.

Women suffer a lot of unfairness simply because (as a group) they allow and even promote injustice against their gender. Women themselves are prejudiced against other women, unlike men who are happy to support their own. For example, an average Nigerian man would love to have a boy child, and if you ask the woman you discover that she has the same preference!

Women don't fight against gender prejudice because they enjoy some of the effects of the inequality. They enjoy not having to take part in bloody warfare, and they enjoy not being blamed when things go wrong because by taking the supporting role they can avoid ultimate responsibility.

Whatever a woman does wrong she will claim it is ultimately the man's fault because he is "the head".

Well I think it matters. I want a bouncing baby girl first of all, and after that whatever comes is fine by me. Girls can be sweet if given parental attention, but most young boys are just rough, rough, rough!

Yes, it is true that the girl will no longer bear my surname when she gets married, but that is not a problem, because the surname isn't mine anyway!

Besides, I know that all my childen will be great, as I would be, and if they are bearing the same surname then when people mention my surname("Mr. XYZ" it would not be clear which one they are talking about. "Do you mean XYZ senior or XYZ junior?"

Unfortunately, there are no Americans, Europeans, Asians, Latinos, Jews, or Germans where I stay (Ogun State). So the question of dating a 'white chick' doesn't really come up. But we have beautiful Ibo girls, Yoruba girls, Hausa girls, et cetera.

Generally, I don't think I see anything wrong in dating a white girl, because beauty, character and intelligence are best judged on an individual basis. Cultural issues that may come up are bound to be more serious. The average white girl might be too 'liberated' sexually for my liking!
