What if he's able to study the Swedish language while he's still in Nigeria? (I believe I've about people who studied Japanese and eventually got themselves admission into Japanese universities.)

Christianity EtcRe: Jehovah's Witnesses in Here? by Seun(mod): 12:22pm On Jul 18, 2005
Legry,

I have no problem with the Religion section of the forum.  If people start insulting each other over the issue of religion I will simply start deleting their posts.  I am not afraid to use my moderator privileges when necessary.

I believe that when we get people of different faiths to interact in the same forum, they will eventually discover that they are not all that different from each other and they'll learn to be more tolerant.   This is what happens when you interact with someone you see as being 'different' from you.

Seun.
Christianity EtcRe: Jehovah's Witnesses in Here? by Seun(mod): 11:30pm On Jul 17, 2005
Jehovah Witnesses are allowed to have boyfriends. They are actually more flexible than most Christian denominations (except for their preaching exercises, bible study, and certain things they don't believe in like blood transfusions and celebration of birthdays).

Trust me, they can be really friendly and accepting if you relate with them without the consciousness that they are Jehovah's Witnesses.

TV/MoviesRe: Common Flaws in Nigerian Home Videos by Seun(mod): 10:27pm On Jul 17, 2005
The average budget for these films are very low, and so they usually have to shoot the whole movie in two weeks or so. So when they are not able to shoot everything properly in the alloted time period they rely on the editor to make the best use of whatever they have. So to raise the standard we really need financers that are ready to spend more money for each film and try to make more money per movie.
Christianity EtcRe: Jehovah's Witnesses in Here? by Seun(mod): 9:10pm On Jul 17, 2005
Nope. She's simply trying to look for people who share her beliefs. I won't say I blame her, since most of us have a negative attitude towards Jehovah's Witnesses. Ejyro don't mind these people!

This section is about Religion and members of this forum are encouraged to discuss their religious beliefs without disrespecting the beliefs of others. I strongly encourage the muslims on this forum to do what Ejyro has done!

RomanceRe: Can Age-Gap Relationships Last? by Seun(mod): 1:08pm On Jul 16, 2005
In '20 years age difference - does it really matter?' daBlessed asked a very similar question, "would you go out with someone about 20 years older?"

Your question, though similar, is a bit different: can such a relationship be expected to last, or will it eventually have to be terminated?

My opinion is that such a relationship might even last much longer than one in which they are about the same age, because an older man is more likely to be more experienced, level-headed and financially stable. Like a good father!
RomanceRe: Breakup of your Last Relationship by Seun(mod): 10:56am On Jul 16, 2005
Ejyro,

I'm convinced that you made the right decision, but I'm concerned about something: why were you in a relationship if you didn't really love your man? I mean, why would you want to spoil your chance of meeting someone you would really love by being "in a relationship" with someone you don't love?

I know you're not the only one who does this but I don't get this aspect of your story! huh

Technology MarketRe: Can a TV used in UK work in Nigeria? by Seun(mod): 10:13pm On Jul 15, 2005
Mamba, the voltage is definitely not the same but many televisions have this "universal voltage" figure that makes them work with 110 V (UK) voltage up to our 220-240 V in Nigeria.

The refresh frequency also matters (50/60). Well our electronics wizard will be able to shed some light on it. Frank, why not tell us the make and model of the television set you plan to bring into Nigeria?

"David Deangelo" teaches you how to get a lady interested in you and how to have sex, but he doesn't teach you how to hold on to a lady. If you know how to hold on to a lady you won't have as much experience as Dave since you will be busy taking care of your one and only instead of jumping from one woman's laps to the other.

The DoubleYourDating site s simply a player's manual!

TV/MoviesRe: The MTN 'Sharp Guy' TV Advert ("Nah, I'm just motivated") by Seun(mod): 12:14pm On Jul 15, 2005
The official name for that advert is actually 'Sharp Guy' (it's part of their "life is beautiful" promo, though, so trae is partially right). The video is available as a free download for those who have not had the privilege (or pain) of watching the ad.

What I don't understand is the girl's sudden change of attitude when the guy offered to "come pick it up". Here is a girl who has rejected the guy several times, and she suddenly shows her teeth and says, "you're a phony!" after he offers to come pick up his phone. "nah, I'm just motivated", he replies. That was a little too fast!

TV/MoviesRe: Survey: Thesis Project - Nigerian Movie Industry by Seun(mod): 11:16am On Jul 15, 2005
The survey is about personal video recorders (PVR), video devices that allow users to save television programs so that they can watch them later, using a hard disk and sophisticated software. I've taken a look but I'm yet to fill it at this point.

Ugo, are you these questions are specifically meant for people living in Nigeria/Africa? How come the final question is, "which country are you taking this survey from? (USA, UK, Other)"
CareerRe: Cisco Certification Advice, Materials by Seun(mod): 10:37am On Jul 15, 2005
The CCNA Certification is basic and most common Cisco Certification:

"The CCNA certification indicates a foundation in and apprentice knowledge of networking."

"CCNA certified professionals can install, configure, and operate LAN, WAN, and dial access services for small networks (100 nodes or fewer), including but not limited to use of these protocols: IP, IGRP, Serial, Frame Relay, IP RIP, VLANs, RIP, Ethernet, Access Lists."

CCNA Resources:

Although this site contains useful content for CCNA candidates, it does not cover all the skills and knowledge that you need to prepare for CCNA exams. You will need additional information, training, and support to pass the exam."[/li]

I'm glad to hear that ythe issue you had with opening Adobe Acrobat (PDF) files from the web has been resolved. My general advice is to download PDF files first before opening them, to prevent Windows system instability resulting from the interaction between Internet Explorer and Adobe Acrobat Reader running as an IE Plugin.
