Because most ladies become as boring as hell after they have said 'yes' and relaxed for the guy.Actually, such ladies were boring during the chase, but the guy didn't notice because he was busy chasing. Hello guys, What do you think about the idea of using the chroma key technique for the background of every single shot in one's movie? That way you save on location and transport costs, and you can set your movie in any location - all you need is a set of pictures or video clips from each location. You can set your movie anywhere in the world without having to travel there with your actors. You get to shoot all your movies in one location - the green screen set. Big budget like Star Wars and 300 are often shot this way but I've not heard of many low budget movies that are shot this way. What are the potential setbacks of such an approach and is it worth trying? Why don't more people use it? I look forward to responses that will shed more light on the issue. Thanks.

i need to be sure it will get shown on tv.The show needs to attract a sizable audience every week. The idea has to have legs so it lasts long. i will also need some funding or sponsoring.Ah, the big one. I think you'll have to join a very long queue of producers looking for funding.  If you're not the producer of your show, what will you be? The writer? If so, do you have the stamina to write a new script every week? I think one has to have something to offer the producer, else the producer will drop you as early as he can. |

Once upon a time, pirated Hollywood movies used to cost 200 naira while original Nollywood ones used to cost 350 naira or so. The price difference was minimal and most people had no problems buying Nollywood movies from time to time. Now that it's possible to get a DVD with 12 to 16 movies for about 300 naira, the cost of a single pirated Hollywood movie is now effectively 20 naira or so. And the video quality is the same as the quality of Nigerian movies on VCD. How can Nigerian movies compete with this price? I don't think they can. I wonder if this is already affecting the local movie industry in a big way, because it seems to me that it should. Once most people get DVD players, are we doomed? (Of course, ad-supported business models that allow you to distribute your movies for free may still be viable.) |

Thanks for that. "A little bit of both" is a good answer, but how does that work in practice? I'm still trying to figure that out, but I'm beginning to notice elements in my story pitches that are related to certain personal experiences. Maybe that's what gives one the stamina to follow through with a story. |
