Christianity EtcRe: Should Women Be Ordained To Head Churches And Mosques? by Seun(mod): 11:50am On Jul 03, 2006
Once upon a time, pastors believed they were messengers of God and their only duty was to deliver commands to their church-members. But as competition increased, pastors decided to add entertainment to the package. This benefits the members because church services are now more interesting. You get more value for your tithes!

If women are allowed to become pastors and Imams, they are likely to bring a new dimension to the practice. Maybe compassion. That compassion will tend to draw people from the churches with male leaders to the churches with female leaders. In order to retain more members, the male pastors will be forced to inculcate that element of compassion in their own ministries. This will benefit the church members: they'll get more value for their tithes.
Christianity EtcRe: The 'Da Vinci Code' Movie by Seun(mod): 11:39am On Jul 03, 2006
Dan Brown didn't tell any lies; he wrote a fictional book which was used as the basis for a movie. Before attacking Dan Brown for his "lies" we should attack J K Rowlings for her "lies" about witchcraft being real and not evil!

Yes, of course. Anything that increases competition in this business will tend to favor the customers. wink

Why don't you sign up with them if you're an aspiring musician?

TV/MoviesRe: Your Favorite Movie Genres? by Seun(mod): 10:59am On Jul 02, 2006
I absolutely hate horror movies, because they trivialize murder and turn it into entertainment. I hate movies with bad endings too: there are enough bad endings in real life, so when I'm watching a movie I want a good ending damnit! If I wanted to see violence or bad endings I would be watching the middle-east drama CNN, not a movie!
Christianity EtcRe: Who Created Evil? God? So He's To Blame? by Seun(mod): 3:30am On Jul 02, 2006
Yes, in this case I was wrong. My bible knowledge is slipping away, as it should. Sorry guys.

Regardless of that, the so-called life after death experiences are just psychological phenomena that occur when blood isn't flowing to the brain properly. They are basically dreams; they don't prove anything.
Christianity EtcRe: God Did Not Create Evil! by Seun(mod): 3:25am On Jul 02, 2006
These tiresome arguments have been debunked several times already:

You should read this entire article in its entirety:

Case dismissed.

HealthRe: Test Butchers For Hiv/aids(nigeria). by Seun(mod): 3:12am On Jul 02, 2006
You cannot get an HIV/AIDS infection through cooked meat, even in the unlikely case that a substantial amount of the butcher's blood got into the meat before it was sold.
InvestmentRe: Interest Rate On Fixed Deposit Accounts In Nigeria by Seun(mod): 2:51am On Jul 02, 2006
We all know that fixed deposit is not a way to make money, but when the fixed deposit rate is 7% and inflation rate is 15%, that means that you cannot even prevent your money from depreciating by using fixed deposit accounts.
RomanceRe: She Rejected Me Because Of My Religion. What Now? by Seun(mod): 2:44am On Jul 02, 2006
SHe has rejected you, and now it's time to forget about her. She's not going to sleep with you, so you should save your friendliness for someone else. If she decides to be friendly with you and still doesn't accept the relationship you are proposing you will still complain. There's nothing she can do that will make you happy, so forget her!

EducationRe: Is There Much For A Mathematics Major In Nigeria? by Seun(mod): 1:50am On Jul 02, 2006
Yemstar, please consider the following facts:
- You have no tangible reason for wanting to be a Mathematics major.
- You are already studying Accounting and this is a course with good employment opportunities.
- The more time you spend changing courses, the more of your life is wasted.

Considering the above, I think the right step is for you to go ahead and get that accounting degree that you are already on course to get. Once you have that degree, you can start exploring the professional opportunities.
BusinessRe: I Heard The Rate Of Dollar Is Now Dropping. by Seun(mod): 10:30pm On Jul 01, 2006
ALl we need is stability. We don't want appreciation, and we don't want depreciation. Just let it be stable so that business plans of people involved in outsourcing or import/export will not be distorted.

BusinessRe: How To Get Small, Short-term Loans In Nigeria by Seun(mod): 12:34am On Jul 01, 2006
One of the best things you can do for an entrepreneur is to convince her to grow her business organically - financing growth with profits instead of taking loads or inviting investors. Greed kills!
InvestmentRe: Interest Rate On Fixed Deposit Accounts In Nigeria by Seun(mod): 12:07am On Jul 01, 2006
