This is a common practice in nigeria. I know about a hotel that pays purchasing agents when they convince the companies they work for to patronize them. They call it 'referral commission' or something like that.

It's a manifestation of corruption, because a purchasing agent is supposed to represent the interests of the company. but it's also a common practice in our corrupt nation. If your uncle's boss finds out, he'll probably be fired.

In my candid opinion, Dare Art Alalade is not fit to be a professional musician. I mean, his music sucks. His album is not going to sell; there are no hits in there. As a musician, he lacks talent and he also lacks creativity.

On the other hand, he would make a very good TV Show Presenter or something. He has connections in Nollywood - all the actors were there at the launching of his album, he has charisma, he has a love for showbiz. He has what it takes to make it in the entertainment industry but not as a musician. Somebody tell him!

Asari Dokubo is not a freedom fighter. He is a fighter, period. If he was interested in developing the Niger Delta, he would have invested some of his gains in the Niger Delta. he would have built schools, roads, etc. Instead he prefers to buy guns and rocket launchers to destroy the few things that have been built in the area.

Violence of any form is an unacceptable solution. It only creates more crimes that other people will like to avenge by starting their own violence. It leads to an endless cycle of more and more violence that can never be resolved.
