Christianity EtcRe: Do You Believe In The Law Of Karma? by Seun(mod): 10:48pm On May 01, 2006
The law of work states that you'll reap what you work hard for.

The law of luck states that sometimes you'll reap what you didn't plant!

ProgrammingRe: Vb vs Java: Which Is Better For Mobile Applications? by Seun(mod): 9:33pm On May 01, 2006
Java seems to be the dominant language for mobile application development, so choose Java!

I didn't know that one could use Visual Basic to write mobile applications. Are you sure about this? Can you educate us further? Or do you mean the very different VisualBasic.NET in the .NEt framework?
RomanceRe: Why Would A Man Leave His Woman After A Long Relationship? by Seun(mod): 9:24pm On May 01, 2006
If a relationship isn't going well, break it so someone else can find you.
BusinessRe: Business Ideas For Friend Based Abroad With A Million Naira? by Seun(mod): 9:18pm On May 01, 2006
Never convince a friend to enter into a business or else when it fails - it will fail if the person is doing it halfheartedly - the person will blame you and your relationship will be strained. Why not invest your own money?

If all your friend has to invest in Nigeria is just this (small) amount of money, and he doesn't have time to spend in Nigeria working on it, or even business experience, then maybe he should consider buying securities like stocks and bonds with the money? That's the only possibility in this case. What do you say?
SportsRe: World Cup: Important Rules For Women! by Seun(mod): 8:57pm On May 01, 2006
Point 13 spoils the entire list. It's a very bad ending to a very promising joke. May I remove it?

Nairaland GeneralRe: Should We Support Nairaland Financially? by Seun(mod): 8:24pm On May 01, 2006
Thanks for your support, guys. It's great to know that if we're in a pinch tommorrow there are those who would be willing to help financially. Fortunately for now the best you can do is just to respect the rules.
BusinessRe: Shopping Center Revolution Possible In Nigeria? (Like India?) by Seun(mod): 8:03pm On May 01, 2006
I believe we should applaud the investment of Tayo Amusan, who rather than invest in Pontomac mansions or Swiss Cottage villas has provided 'The Palms'. We should even take steps like this further
If you want to discuss that, visit the Palms Shopping Mall thread!
CelebritiesRe: Who Needs Beyonce? We Have Caroline Chikezie! by Seun(mod): 7:54pm On May 01, 2006
I think she uses breast implants, but there's nothing bad about that. That's the nature of her business.

And she looks beautiful with makeup, but like every other actress there's probably not much of her to admire beyond the superficial. That's also ok; it would be wrong for a skilled entrepreneur to be wasting all her time cramming and delivering superficial lines or working so hard to attain the perfect look.
BusinessRe: How Does One Make Money On The Internet Apart From "19"/yahoo-yahoo? by Seun(mod): 2:26pm On May 01, 2006
At the moment, the Internet is not the best place for a Nigerian to make money legally. unless you have a very strong flair for the medium such that you are ready to labor for almost a year before you start reaping significant dividends, you probably shouldn't bother. The basic model is to start a site with a lot of traffic and show adverts.
CareerHappy International Workers' Day! by Seun(mod): 2:17pm On May 01, 2006
Hello Nigerians,

Happy workers day! How are you spending it? Are you just at home chilling and listen to Adams Oshiomole's (NLC) speech? Is this day really important, or is it just another excuse to stay away from work?

You already know how I feel about reinventing the wheel. That's the only criticism I might have. You are the one who knows what features your site needs, and that's what the CMS is for: to satisfy your needs.

Your point that Nigerians who go abroad to shop will now be able to shop locally is a good one. Thanks for enlightening me. Some Nigerians are so rich, it's unbelievable. cry
