What is your other username? |
Actually, I've not heard about it. Tell us more! |
Your post seems to be more about criticizing Nigerian university websites. Am I right? |
My eyes almost popped out of their sockets when I discovered that there were so many users online at the same time today. This week, it seems as if many members have decided to spend more time browsing the forum: yesterday, I had to implement some changes on the server in order to cope with the increased load! More people are getting addicted, yay!

Camara Laye took a second wife while the "love of his life" was rotting away in prison. Even a seven year old would realise that such a thing can't work. There is nothing in Islam that compels a man to marry more than one wife if he doesn't want to, so the dictator Sekou Toure is not the only villian in this story. Camara Laye is more to blame. |
How about a picture of the camera itself? ![]() |
What kind of add-in would you like to see? |
Many "submissive" women are liars. They choose deception over "rebellion' to achieve their aims. I don't believe in this idea of "submission". There is no way that pompous young men won't take advantage of it. |
Somebody help this lady! |
Thanks. Okocha must have been really light-skinned as a baby to earn that name! |

It's no big deal. Normal people have problems too, but celebrities are also subjected to an unfairly high degree of pressure relative to their paltry incomes. They are pressured by the society to conduct superficial lives. |
I know why HIV and Malaria will never be eradicated no matter how much is pumped to NGOs "fighting" them in Africa. It's because if HIV and Malaria are eradicated, the people working in those NGOs will become jobless! They must continue collecting money to "fight the HIV/AID pamndemic", "bridge the digital divide", and "eradicate malaria', but they can never fully achieve their objectives unless something else comes up for them to "fight". |
The same Paul that said wives should submit to their husbands also said that it is better not to get married. Why are Paul's uninformed opinions on marriage (afterall he was not married) being taken as the word of God? |
I guess you need a better phone. And I hope you're using wap2. Cheers! ![]() |
Our beloved AUstin J J Okocha is perhaps the most entertaining Nigerian midfielder of all time. I'm curious to know what his name "Okocha" means and the language it comes from. Thanks. |
For the avoidance of doubt I want to state categorically that I appreciate the input of each and every member of this forum, especially the Nairaland addicts, elders and comedians. You girls and guys deserve a lot of credit. Thanks a million for jumping aboard and helping to create what will soon become the best Nigerian Forum! |

Here is my candid advice: 1) She should annul the traditional "marriage" immediately. It is not binding. 2) You should marry her immediately, in a legally binding fashion. 3) The two of you should seek to adopt parent-challenged kids and love them as your own. Those are the steps I would follow if I was faced with a similar situation. If you believe in abortion, then you can also go ahead and have kids the normal way and when any foetus is found to be SS, you can just abort it. Marriage is not something a woman should enter into half-heartedly. That's just silly. |
I guess it was Saturday morning last week when I heard the sound of the voice and quickly reverted my eye to catch a passing glimpse of his image. Perhaps, the station was Channel Television, but because I was hurrying to get out of the house in order to beat the ubiquitous traffic on the road (Ikotun-Isolo axis) and meet up with my schedule at the Rutam House, I didn't give a second glance or thought to know what Funso was up to again. You can then imagine the rude shock I got when on the night of Tuesday as one flipped through the newspapers to be confronted with the news of the demise of Funso Alabi. Momentarily, everything else came to a hurt for me. Even the victory of AC Milan over Lyon that night turned sour. The image of Funso and the high pitch voice of that Saturday morning and every encounter with him started flooding back. http://www.guardiannewsngr.com/friday_review/article01/070406 |
