We all know that Pastor Chris will not give $100m to any ministry. He just wants to motivate his followers to give sacrificially to his own ministry without question. He talks about giving money that he extracted from his followers through self-serving doctrines back to himself as if it’s just as sacrificial as when his salary earning followers give most of their hard-earned money to him and even borrow money from friends to pay their sacrificial pledges. Obviously, it’s not. He is not sacrificing anything, while they’re sacrificing everything. What an insult to their intelligence.

Donnie, since God doesn't own a bank account, how exactly does Pastor Chris intend to give God the money? By donating it to himself (again)?

No. I am convinced that Harry is fully in love with her. If she acts like her Suits character when she's with him, it’s no surprise. However, I don't think he grasps the magnitude of the sacrifice he is asking the talented actress to make and how difficult it would be for her. I think she is more conflicted about her choice than she lets on. After a few years of playing her role fabulously, she will move on to the next gig.

Don't see any.

1) The biggest red flag is that Meghan is planning to sacrifice her acting career. Such decisions inevitably lead to resentment.

2) She dated a guy for seven years, married him in 2011, and then divorced him only two years later. She just met Harry in 2016.

3) In their interview they don't really sound like best friends, which they have to be to survive the draconian challenges of a marriage between a top Hollywood actress and a member of the British royal family. It's even less likely to be successful than a relationship between two actors.

Do you think it will work out? I don't think so. Meghan Merkle is literally sacrificing her acting career to be a princess. She's leaving the cast of Suits to go and live with the prince. This will probably lead to resentment on the long run, when she gets tired of her mundane royal duties.

I always feel irritated when a cheating wife or GF immediately bursts into tears and pleas when caught. They kneel down and wail and so forth. The fact that a married woman is banging some other dude doesn't mean that she wants her husband to leave her, which has serious financial and social implications for her and her children. The dude she is banging is unlikely to be husband material. She might be too old to be single.

I think his marriage crashed because he cheated on his wife, as famous men tend to do, and he was too unrepentant to obtain her forgiveness.

The existence of religion is adequately explained by the human tendency to make up stories to explain things. Even in this modern scientific era, we have witnessed the creation of new religions like Mormonism and Scientology, and numerous cults, by liars and gullible people. Those two ingredients are sufficient.

People attend crusades for miracles. They respond to altar calls because they feel that they have sinned (who hasn’t?) and want to ensure that their sins won’t block their access to miracles. Responding to an altar call is considered as the best guarantee that you are fully forgiven. Most of those people are just Christians feeling guilty.

I believe this because in spite of the frequent well-funded outreaches of the rich tithe-collecting churches, there is no evidence that the percentage of Christians in the country is increasing or that the percentage of Muslims and atheists is dropping.

Sorry, I sometimes forget that facts I take for granted may sound shocking to people who have never had their beliefs challenged. I’ve noticed that the backlash for criticizing deeper life is stronger than the backlash for criticizing Christ Embassy or Synagogue church.

My guess is that the church ‘donated’ money to their department with the understanding that after lavishing generous gifts on themselves the balance will be used to buy a jet for him. Only the head of the department needed to know about the plan. The others have no incentive to complain after collecting lavish gifts of up to $100k (according to a Nairalander in his church) from the same fund.
