So basically, he gave himself a private jet. How generous. |
I love your trellis system. It took me a while to realize that it’s the best. emmanuelzi:You can buy the seeds from Seedworld |
@fluentinfor, that information was awesome, thanks! Which systemic fungicide active ingredients do you use? Which hybrids do you plant? |
blessedvisky:1) I don't really believe you. 2) Even if most (i.e. more than 50%) of converts were poor, it would still be financially beneficial to pursue them for the sake of the minority (less than 50%) who are rich. The tithes of a single rich, learned soul can cover the cost of pursuing many poor and uneducated souls. The ones who dedicate their time and effort to follow up these converts often use their own personal resources without reimbursement from any one.Agreed. They pay tithes and, on top of that, provide free labor to the organisation that collects their tithes. They're part of the sheeple too. Now how much tithe can you get from an unemployed man? How much tithe can you get from an uneducated widow who lives on the goodwill and support of friends and family? You can get quite a lot from unemployed men and uneducated widows if you convince them to pay tithes on the financial values of any gifts that they receive. If you have hundreds of thousands of them in your church, their tithes add up to very significant amounts. If you watch the audience in any Winners Chapel or Christ Embassy video, the vast majority of them are skinny, inexpensively dressed, regular people. |
VBCampaign:I was going to commend your write-up, until I noticed the part I highlighted above. What a deviously clever write-up! Essentially you want to replace the tithe of 10% with a “consistent habitual contribution” of at least 10%, which “true believers” “must” pay. You are a genius, bro. |
Frostyflame:From my investigation, tomato consumers in Nigeria don't seem to care about varieties. People will pay more for tomatoes that are firm and not watery, mild and not sour, and mostly red in color. Subtle differences in taste between Roma VF and San Marzano are lost on them. Grow the San Marzano for personal consumption but for commercial production, I think a prolific hybrid with very strong disease resistance is best. |
enshy: Money is just one of the things we give: We give our time, talent, strength, Life, goals, ambitions, desires. You give the church all your real things, and in return, you get promises of imaginary things. That’s not a fair deal. Please wake up! If a church truly believes in eternity, they should give money to their members during this life in exchange for 10% of their members’ “eternal rewards”. Tithe and Offering is an evidence of a vibrant and sacrificial Christian Life. If God gave His Son, Christ gave His Life, we reciprocate by giving our ALL.Christ said that the way to give to him is by giving to the needy. If you must give your all to Christ, give it to the needy in your community. |
Sorry about this bro, but fortunately, you have not lost everything yet. Lift the plants off the ground and support them with stakes. Many of them will survive. |
How much? |
sapientia:I just wanted people to be aware that soul-winning benefits churches by increasing their recurring income. It's not an entirely sacrificial act. |
Focusing on souls that can be converted into tithe-paying members of Deeper Life church will bring in more money on the long run. Smart. Update: Apologies to those who were offended. ![]() |
Take it away from the mother at night and let it sleep somewhere warm. Feed it with a vet-approved milk formula. Good luck. |
oyetpel:Which tomato variety is that? It seems to come in different shapes and sizes and colours, and was grown with little or no stress. |
benueguy:Contact mynd44. He prevents such from happening. |
donnie:Is she married? Who is the lucky husband? |
Congratulations! ![]() |
Yikes. |
israelmao:If God exists, He wouldn't be disappointed. Before you were born, he knew that there would be no money in the envelope, and He knew why. |
mamuzoOMAH:Do they pass around the normal offering bags? If so, then it's quite easy to drop your money in the bag without letting anybody see it. |
mamuzoOMAH:Do people have to dance to the front of your church when they give? If so, then your church is clearly not motivated by privacy concerns. |
Desyner:The envelope is used to encourage people to give higher amounts. Putting 20 naira in an envelope just doesn't feel right. It demands more. The dancing-to-the-front-of-the-pastor culture, which is a different thing, is meant to prevent people from skipping any of the offerings. Using clever tricks to raise more money for the church is justified in the minds of the people involved because the money is "for God". |
Hier has said it all. We need to be more tolerant. |
A man came unto Jesus and asked him if it was okay to submit empty envelopes to a prosperity church that made people drop offerings openly in order to embarrass those who had nothing to give. "What is written on the envelope?" asked Jesus. "The name of the prosperity church", answered the man. Jesus said, "give to the prosperity church what belongs to the prosperity church". And the people were amazed. |
tabtabtab:Actually, the stance of the New Testament on a lot of these issues is quite obvious to anyone who interpretes the Bible honestly. 1. Wearing trouser or not wearing trouser. The old testament forbids Jewish women from wearing men's clothes but it doesn't say which clothes are men's clothes and which ones are women's clothes. The New Testament only talks about "modesty" in dressing. Trousers that are not too tight are more modest than skirts. 2. We should worship on Saturday not SundayThe Sabbath is on Saturday, but Paul made it very clear that Christians who are not Jews should not be asked to keep the Sabbath. 3. Alcohol or no alcohol. There is no non-alcoholic wine in the Bible. Jesus, the apostles, and Paul drank alcoholic wine on multiple occasions. Jesus and the early Christians performed the holy communion with alcoholic wine. So a blanket ban on the consumption of alcohol is not supported by the Bible. However, many Bible passages condemn drunkenness. So biblically, it's okay to consume alcohol, but not to the point of getting drunk. 4. Now...... Tithe or no titheThere is no biblical basis for Christian tithing. This is clear. Nobody who reads the Bible honestly will conclude that Christians should pay tithes. It's all matter of personal faith and believeIf your faith and belief is based on the Bible, and not on the church you attend, then the correct answers to all the questions above are clear. |
You can buy meat rabbits in the market and keep them as pets. |
Is Padma F1 resistant to early and late blight, or any of the other fungal diseases that spread quickly when tomato leaves are soaked by rain? |

robosky02:It means a tenth. Why do you ask? DangotePikin:All the leaders of tithe-collecting churches with many branches. Why do you ask? felixomor:“Before Judaism”, there was animal sacrifice and the stoning of adulterers. What’s your point? ![]() |
I just heard in the radio about a woman who was told by someone that she can pay tithe to someone in needIf you want to give your money to God in order to honour him, the Christian way to achieve this is by giving the money to the needy: "Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ |
:-) |
robosky02:Yes, and the proper application of that idea to finance is that you should invest any excess money that you have into a productive business or financial securities. Giving your money to a rich pastor is like planting your seed in another man's farm. The owner of the farm will reap the benefits. |
felixomor:What term should be used to describe poor people who voluntarily 'dash' more than 10% of their money to extremely rich people every month? |
