She doesn’t look great in those pics because of a poor (I.e unflattering) choice of attire, hair-do and make-up. She probably doesn’t wear much make-up normally, so she’s more likely to make mistakes. She is definitely attractive biologically.

It depends on the shortcoming. If you learned that Aliko tried to slaughter his own son with a knife and burn his body for a ritual, and slept with an underaged house girl and got her pregnant because he was desperate for a heir, and after his wife also had a son and got jealous, he sent the house girl and the son she bore him, his own blood, away to live as beggars and likely die of starvation or rape and murder on the streets, would you still see him as a role model?

In all fairness to the genuine pastors out there, how many of us really seek God as much as they do? There are many here who can praise and worship for hours but when it comes to prayer, you can't last for more than 10 minutes.

If God existed, why would he enjoy listening to his children begging him to do things for them repeatedly for more than 10 minutes? I can’t stand more than 30 seconds of that shit. I fail to understand how God would not only tolerate it, but actually enjoy it to the point of deliberately not answering most of his childrens’ prayers so he could continue to listen to their endless begging.

Even fasting, before noon, you run as fast as your legs can carry you to the nearest eatery to the share the grace.

If God existed, I fail to see why it would please him to see his children voluntarily starving themselves of the sustenance he so graciously provided them. What manner of parent would enjoy watching their kids starve? What manner of parent would favor children who regularly starved themselves in order to get their way?

Instead of cursing them out, give your life to Christ and study the bible passionately.

We believe the Bible because these men told us that it is the word of God. If they are not truthful, how can we be sure that the Bible is the word of God as they said, and not what it objectively looks like?

Unless the OP repeats what he said here to the bereaved parties, it won’t hurt them. He questioned their behavior, but I don’t think he mocked them.

The passage is a poetic work which uses hyperbole. When R. Kelly sings "I believe I can fly" do you believe he can literally fly like a pigeon?

The word was Hell not Sheol

The word used in the original Hebrew is Sheol. This word basically means grave. The NIV diplomatically translates it as "realm of the dead".

Here's the continuation of the passage:

The King Of Babylon defeated the Israelites and many other nations and enslaved their people. This entire passage is saying, "Babylon will be destroyed, their King will be killed, and Israel and the other nations they enslaved will be freed." It's not about Satan. Sheol means grave.

The gospels say that Jesus said it is more “blessed” (beneficial) to give than to receive. This is not always true. It is generally true if you have more money than you need. In that case, giving the excess money becomes beneficial to you because it feels good to see your money change the lives of people who need and deserve it. Another type of beneficial giving is “strategic giving” - giving to people who might be willing and able to help you in the future.

Blindly dashing 10% of your income to a rich man who doesn’t even know your name, with no idea about how it will be spent, is just crazy.

Their choir was disappointing last time I checked (years ago), though.

For 10% of your income it would be reasonable to expect world class entertainment.

Pastor Adeyemi is one of the better pastors. At least he teaches his members useful secular lessons that can help them in life - lessons on topics like financial planning, entrepreneurship, leadership, and relationships, sprinkled with bible verses - before collecting their tithes. 10% of your income is a steep price for the information he provides, most of which is probably available for free online, but at least it is useful.
