, Robbers attack music star on arrival from London

A popular music star, 2-Face Idibia was shot in Lagos yesterday by some armed bandits. The incident occured between 9 and 10 p.m. The award-winning star Daily Sun gathered, was shot in the thigh by armed bandits along the Airport Road while he was driving home from Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, after arrival from London, where he had gone to collect the Best African Art Mobo Award.

His condition is, however, uncertain as at the time of filing this report, but a source said he had been rushed to an undisclosed hospital in the Isolo area of Lagos, where he is receiving treatment.

It would be recalled that gunmen suspected to be armed robbers in his Festac residence two years ago attacked 2-Face Idibia.

Efforts to confirm the incident from the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Olubode Ojajumi could not yield any result as his phone was ringing with no one responding.

yeah, Oliseh, Good player in his days, but very confrontational based on his love for Nigeria and the 'Scooter Eagles'. I saw a documentary on him some time ago and he spoke of coaching a kids' club in belgium. He might make a surprise return as a Coach someday.

I have seen the replays over and over and i believe that what you get from the premiership is over zealous referees trying to gain undue popularity with home fans, (get this straight, i am a United fan) but what use is a victory when the referee denies you its joy? The biggest blunder though ever committed by a referee was not the 3 yellow cards at the world cup. it was the disallowed goal against Us at Old Trafford some seasons back. It was a great disservice to refereeing.
The officiating of the match was very poor, but whatever happens though, Chelsea did not do enough to deserve a draw in that match talk less of a win. I thank God no Chelsea goal was disallowed. I want to believe that irrespective of the win, ManUtd has not done enough to convince die hard fans like me this season. Playing 6/7 games and not being able to score more than a goal from Open Play does not spell a league winning side, Talk less of The Champions league (tallest Order) or any cup. I wish the 2 teams well, but better luck to Man Utd.

I can confidently say that the level of excitement in the Premiership is not going to be the same for a while. However, this is the opportunity for the rotation master (benitez) to prove his worth and carve a niche for himself. He has spent so much and i want to see him really challenging for the league shield this season.

I am a Man Utd Fan, but i am very sad that Jose is leaving, he came to England and raised the standards, i want to see who else would win the premiership over 90 + points from now on. His cynicism of other coaches and Opposition players are legendary, How can i forget the allusion he made in the last Januray Transfer window, when he was asked to pay some outrageous fee for some players,
"i can pay 350, 000 pounds for an Aston Martin, but when you ask me to pay that same amount for an ordinary car i would say no,, cause i know it is not that price"
That is Jose for you, i strongly believe that Chelsea would not remain the same again without him and i see a mass exodus of the so called Chelsea fans here in Nigeria, Arsenal , expect your prodigal fans to soon start shouting Fabri, Gas, Fabri, Pass, Fabri, Trash et al.
Dont mind me sha, That Fabregas guy is the best Player in England as at now and i say that without any apologies, he is simply in a class of his own. I only wish Ronaldo and Rooney are going to be 'all weather' Players like him this season. I believe he would be the PFA player of the year. And with that boy in this form and Chelsea with no Mourinho , Na wa oooooo.

Very cool Laudate. I think if we all can just keep our heads high when the Police are doing their 'duty', we would not be cheated or intimidated to succumb to giving bribes.

We all know that the Nigerian Police force is the most unserious Police force in the world, From the Motto: ' The police is your friend' the unseriousness of these guys can be seen to know no bounds. Anyway i 'carry' all my documents, needed or uneeded. But when i get stopped by the men in uniform, i give them the needed documents first. Holding back the others and when they demand for the others i make jovial remarks about them not mandated to check the documents. I have been having my way with them for a while now. I just make sure my documents are up to date. SOme of them get Kolo for head, no be only FAze get am.

I want to believe she is referring to the end of the world as indicated in the Bible, but i am not sure if this is directly related with the end of times. i want to believe that this is a scam propagated by some folks to discredit Christianity since Christ's resurrection is the bedrock of Christianity.

My people, i came across a movie at the weekend and i decided to see it out of curiosity. It is called 'The Lost tomb of Jesus'. It turned out to be a documentary and therein was detailed the so called Archeological find somewhere in Jerusalem a Tomb that contained the Bones of 'Jesus' and his family in Ossuaries.
Now i believe it is just a bunch of crap but i want to hear from Nairalanders.

i have starred at the Nose and gone through my best laid plans as earlier stated, i want to say that Her Nose is Ok, better than Owen Wilson's anyway (Maybe that is one of the reasons he is attempting suicide). So lets allow the Nose issue lie Pips.
I think she is ok and can be a Model, considering the fact that some folks Model and some folks model, after all i model my birthday suit in the shower when i have my birth and meeeeeeeeennnnnnnn i look good.

I dont think it is possible to see GUS IV online, even if it was possible i would not want to waste my precious bandwidth on the show online.
Snazzydawn, yeah i am funny, but you see i like to be the guy to always notice the tiniest unnoticeable things, i care a lot for details, so hearing about that Nose without me spotting it first makes me feel somehow ,
I am going to watch out for it like i said and be sure i am going to tell you whatever i see.

you are right Trendy, very right. All the same, i believe the packaging of this program should have been better than this.

Considering that KIM's so called appalling attitudes has generated so much buzz on this board, i am surprised she has not been evicted. Although she did very well yesterday, i believe the show gets better and generates more heat when she does those things. She should keep it up, who knows, Her rudeness and talkativeness might make her the last man standing, or is it last lady standing?

Honestly, this is the most uninteresting GUS i have seen, although i hold the opinion that the Snake Island episode still remains the best of them all, it being the first, the euphoria and buzz of that episode has not been equaled since then. However i still get to catch some of the action once in a while, i feel the ambiance of the show was firstly reduced by the fact that Bob Manuel tens to be too sympathetic with the contestants then come the manners of the contestants based on their education and exposure. I think this would also rate as the worst set of contestants ever (no offense), but hearing the kind of grammar, lack of self confidence and lack of finesse amongst these contestants i dont think i ever want to see a GUS 5.
i would rather watch few more episodes of 'The Intern' than stick with the falling standards of the GUS

Here is a review of the movie - The Mexican, featuring Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts.

The plot is about Jerry Welbach's (Pitt) trials and tribulations as he tries to get a famous antique gun, The Mexican, out of Mexico and into the United States. Five years earlier he had caused a traffic accident in which he hit the car of local mobster Arnold Margolese (Gene Hackman), who then had to go to jail for five years when the police searched his car after the crash. As a compensation for the jail time, Jerry is sent on various errands by Margolese's second-in-command, Bernie Nayman (Bob Balaban).

It quickly becomes clear to Jerry that his final assignment by Margolese will be difficult, as the gun seems to carry a curse. The various tellings of the history of the gun and the cause of the curse are a running joke throughout the movie, but suffice it to say that present and past get more and more similar in each telling of the story.

Shooting a black hitman who attempts to abduct Jerry's girlfriend, Samantha, a man who calls himself Leroy (James Gandolfini) kidnaps Samantha (Roberts), thinking that she has the gun. Leroy then assures Samantha that she is safe, he is only looking for the gun to return to Margolese. He assures her that everything will be fine once she gets Jerry to turn the gun over to him.

Meanwhile, Jerry locates the gun, which had been stolen from him, but has to outwit his friend Ted (J. K. Simmons), who has instructions to get the gun and to kill Jerry if necessary.

Hoping for Jerry's arrival, Samantha and Leroy drive to Las Vegas. During the car ride, "Leroy" admits that he is gay, much to the amusement of Samantha, who thinks this is strange considering his occupation. The two exchange some relationship advice and pick up Frank (Michael Cerveris), at a diner, a stranger who is flirting with Leroy. Frank and Leroy spend the night together, and the next morning Samantha encounters a pensive and changed "Leroy." When she asks him about the tattoo "Winston" on his arm, he replies that Winston is someone he does not like much.

After Leroy and Samantha have gone out for breakfast, the black hitman appears again, and kills Frank. At the time Leroy shot him, he was wearing a bulletproof vest and was able to survive. When Leroy and Samantha return to the hotel, Leroy kills the hitman.

Unfortunately, Jerry has lost his passport and cannot leave Mexico, therefore Leroy and Samantha have to fly there. When Jerry sees Leroy, he gets suspicious, since he had met the real Leroy earlier and recalls he is black. Leroy tries to shoot Jerry a short time later, but Jerry shoots and kills him instead. When Leroy is dead, Jerry looks in his wallet and finds his real name is Winston Baldry.

The real Leroy was actually hired by Margolese, while Baldry was hired by Nayman, who wants the gun for himself. In a final confrontation, Samantha kills Nayman with The Mexican, undoing the curse. The gun is then given to a descendant of the gunsmith by Margolese, who had learned about the whole story about the gun while in prison.

i have a video clip of Michael's interview on 60 minutes and i cannot forget the look of regret on his face when asked if he feels his skin tone is as a result of some decision he took. I LOVE MICHAEL, but the fact remains that we all make mistakes. He has made his and due to his celebrity status the world is talking about it.
Wonder what i would have done if i were tempted with his fame and money of the 80's for a day. i would rather say, lets listen to the music and forget the stories , (who knows what other artistes do in their secrets).
