Michael was the king, is the king and would still be the king. ever seen any dance video recently? watch closely and all you would see would be Michael Jackson moves. Leave out personality and all that , even though he's got that too. but basically Michael is the most successful artist ever in the history of music. Wanna beat it? |
I actually went out over the weekend to pick up CDs from these two guys (cause i never had any of their works before) and after careful examination of both, i would still pick 2face. From my little knowledge of music (composition, arrangements, mixing and recording) i think the two are basically just OK. forget the hype on anyone of them. However, lyrically and imaginativelly i give kudos to 2face, it is rather unfortunate that he is stuck with kennis music where the 'hype' talks louder than the work but nonetheless he is good. One aspect where faze is definitely better though is the videos. Most of us know anyway that kennis music artists make the worst videos in nija. In fact the animated video of 'For Instance' is way below Faze's 'Kolomental' and dont forget that the video makes more impressions most times than the songs, afterall if there were no videos michael jackson would have been 'that irritating screaming thing'. However, 2face is my choice anytime anyday, he is lyrically better, has a better musical arrangement and is more of a complete muscian than faze. No disrepect though, Faze rocks too. i hope he can deliever mor songs without screaming, crying or going kolomental. cheers |
Actually, PAM PAM was the first Nigerian home video i ever saw, and the movie made a very big impression. When i see any comedy flick these days i compare it to PAM PAM and the other big comedy flicks of that era and most of them suck in comparison. Let me take you back to a scene in Pam Pam , Jide Kosoko caught Okey and Nkem with his beautiful twins, he orders his 'boys' to bring them to his living room for questioning. When the guys saw the ordeal that awaited them, Nkem too the initiative. 'We are interested in your daughters' he says 'We want to marry them' A bewildered Jide Kosoko snaps his fingers and asks the boys to produce N50k or an evidence of its ownership there and then if the boys were serious about their intentions. Of course our guys are scratching their scalps , Jide Kosoko on seeing no positive response, looks sternly at the guys and thunders 'ok, no 50k what do you do for a living?' Nkem seeing the situation and knowing that disclosing they were barbers would ruin everything decided to garnish the barbing occupation and change the generic nomenclature of the profession. 'We deal with the rejuvenation and readjustment of the human scalp sir' he replies. An overtly angered Jide Kosoko shout 'Barbers!!!!, Barbers want to marry my daughters' Of course enough shi shi lodu (enough beating) for the boys as we used to say during my Ife days. enjoy |
If i am asked to pick who the world's best living recording artiste is without sentiments, i would not hesitate to say Michael Jackson. cause if we are too consider events in the past and the present he had ans has all it takes. The same situation applies here, for an artiste to have recorded Africa's biggest anthem in the last five years, represent Africa so well home and abroad, win accolades and awards all the way , abeg, leave tory, 2face already has his face sealed on wherever FAZE wanna be in 2007 and beyond. Either we like it or not, he is the biggest thing we have exported in music besides, Seal, Sade, Fela and Femi. My thoughts, my style, no apologies. 2face for ever, and come to think of it, i hardly listen to nija music neither do i even own a 2face CD,but i just can't take my attention off when his music is played anywhere (radio or TV). He voice holds the ace to opening up the groove in you if you appreciate talent at its best. |
we should not fall victims of press speculations, not after the Yar Adua Death Rumour. The guy is still coach and has submitted the list of players to use for the next match, read the guardian today (6/6/2007) and confirm, i am trying to into their website but i thinks its not up and running (temporarily). I would keep trying and as soon as i get through i would paste the link to the story. i wish the Eagles well. |
Osuofia was hot, but i do feel Nkem Owoh overacts some roles sometimes. For me the best Nigerian Movies so far have been in the comedy genres. Watching movies like PAM PAM and its sequel, PICADILLY, LAGOS NA WA and the other funny movies of the mid 90s made life fun for those who loved them. I dont see many Nigerian movies, but i would pay through my nose to get a copy of any of those movies now. |
Abeg no know about martins o. Inter sabi im real age na why them sell am, the guy is about 28, he should still be around for 6 years |
It is very abnormal but the truth is an average Nija player deducts about 5 -10 years from their ages. I saw the last flying eagles team and i was appalled that i am officially older than any of those guys, when i would easily prostrate to greet them fuckers if i meet them on the road. The fact the Kanu can still score 10 goals or so in a year is really amazing, that guy get JUJU, cause i cant see that guy less than 42 years at least. God save us. |
well, Love is a very funny feeling, it shivers a guy's timbers and shudders a lady's mind. While Love leads to marriage i would say that Marriage is not the culmination of all love affairs. There are other things to marriage other than love. Such as maturity and other factors. You would need to assess you situation and make a projection, feelings do deceive but ask yourself some questions. 1. Would i still feel the same way about this fella in the next 5, 10,15 or 20 years? 2. If the major factor(s) that makes me love this fella gets lost over time, would my feelings remain the same? 3. Does this fella feel the same way for me? Sorry mate, but the love that goes into marriage is a 2 way thing, i would never advise you to marry someone who is not madly crazy over you. To me love is reciprocal, only when i get about twice the feeling i give. Think twice they say, i would say think in multiples , Except you see divorce as an option which is not necessarily as bad as the taboo people think it is. Enjoy |
It is a tough call people, but i hope Real wins the league. Those guys have done some serious work this season, and with Barca strugling to win away games this season, i see them different from the ever vibrant team of the last 2 seasons. Sevilla has had too many games recently based on their involvement in the UEFA Cup, Kings Cup and the League. I believe they lost to Real because of playing two games in five days considering the fact that one of them was a final match. that would work against them. Also, Only Real Madrid would be a sore loser should they not win this league and the players are really fired up. Never say die attitude coming through in all recent games. With Raul, RUUDY, Becks and Guti in good form, i think the league would go down to the wire. And please for heaven's sake don't insult Becks abilities again. Kindly point out the best English Player in his position in the last 10 years who is better than him. Secondly, he gets dropped from the 3 Lions and they find it difficult to win games. I wonder what would have happened if he was not at the world cup. leave tory, Becks is to England what Kaka is to AC Milan |

naijagal:I am a chronic Michael Jackson fan, that stuff is just a joke!!!! |
I can't believe i am posting this as a Michael Jackson fan but please enjoy Michael goes to the hospital with Debbie for the birth of Michael Jackson Junior. After delievery he holds the boy tenderly looks at the doctor and says , 'Doc when can we start having sex?' Doctor Screams 'Michael!!!! at least you wait till he can walk, Shit!!!' |
There was this pregnant lady who fell into labour. she was rushed to the maternity ward and as it is for ladies in her case, the Doctor and attending Nurses started comforting her with encouraging words, 'Madam push, push, push , ' Suddenly the baby's head started to pop out, and out came the ugliest baby's head all staff on duty had ever seen. One glance at one another and the next thing that came out of their mouths was "MADAM , WITHDRAW!!!! WITHDRAW!!!! WITHDRAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
did not see anything like Blanket . Isnt Michael Jackson supposed to be the weirdest dad ever ![]() |
There are finance houses/groups who have such facilities and they charge about 18 - 20% interest over time. When i was about furnishing my house last year, a friend introduced me to one (First Data Securities ltd), although i was sceptical at first, but they came through, i got everything within 24 hours and all i did was issue post dated cheques and make a down payment for my first payment (although you have to do the formalities, forms and all that). I am consulting them again already cause i am thinking of changing my car. They are at the medium estate Ogba. and you can contact them on 01 - 7755098, they have an arrangement with First bank, UBA and intercontinental Bank ( from what i found out while investigating) you can never be sure these days, can you? you would be required to make a deposit of your first month payment though and you can get your car within 24 hours, provided you have a dealer who is ready to sell to you. I wish you the best as you look for the best deal cheers |
i feel you babe 2007, we would always come , |
Sorry oooo , but is this make belief or real? i believe if it is the latter you would have closed this case the moment you caught them. get real girl. good riddance to bad rubbish abeg. |
Jagunlabi, your list is enchanting, or let me say was enchanting until i read the name Theiry Henry , While i am not questioning his abilities ( he is one of my ll time greats too) its just that i believe Ronaldo De lima is much better at all levels than Henry. ![]() And being the highest goal scorer of all time at the world cup, i think he deserves that spot beyond henry. He epitomizes the Number 9 and can not just score but create the goals too. i remember the Great Paolo Maldini saying that 'the name Ronaldo alone is enough to strike fear in your heart as a defender and a wake up call to raise your game'. what do you think? |
cooljoe, that was very cool. but what do you think of Ronaldinho? and may i ask why he is not on your list? my top ten would change from time to time, but if i were asked to expressly pick i would have something that looks like this 1. Zidane 2. Ronaldo 3. Bergkamp 4. Roberto Baggio 5. Ryan Giggs 6. Thiery Henry 7. Gianlugi Buffon 8. Pavel Nedved 9. Totti 10.Ronald Koeman Note that my list is subject to change and it is basically a relection of my mood. i have tens of other players who when i remember them can easily dislodge anyone here, apart from undoubtedly the first two. I love football and please note my list is devoid of club affiliation. |
I would prefer to have a Kaka in my team anytime anyday before i even consider Ronaldinho. While he is one of the exceptional players out there, i want to believe he is burning himself out too fast by having too much expectations on him. i think what he needs now is a change of club. like Ronaldo the great has done |
eneyesan , In that order? i think Ronaldo should not be far back, he should have his nose somewhere between Zidane and Maradona. I think he is the best thing to have ever come out of Brazil. Then just a question for you eneyesan, i cant find a certain Ronaldinho on your list. Is he not worth it? |
eneyesan, men i like your style, you left Pele far behind. if i am to name my top ten of all time, pele might not even be there. when i have players like Roberto Baggio, Hristo Stoitchkov, Ryan giggs, Theiry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, David Beckham, Alan Shearer, Jurgen Klinsman, Oliver Bierhoff, Allmighty , Scholes, Great Vieira, Peter Schmeichel, just to mention a few in no particular order. abi, no be just acient of days guys we go dey shout all the time |
i would have loved to say PELE, but i was not old enough to see him play, maradona was good, but i cant rule out the drun factor so to me he aint the best. the greatest to me remians Zidane, all maradona could do with the ball he would do with an orange. |
i think it is better to negotiate high to earn high. Ronaldo feels he is in his prime and this is the best time to negotiate a fat pay, i would even feel better if he asked for 200k, then he could earn 180k. Anyway, you aim high to score high and with the way he is being valued at United and the press, i think it is his time. Even Rooney could not have made SAF offload RUUDY but it took a Ronaldo on an average form to do that, what would you now say of an inform Ronaldo. So abeg no vex, na the guy time Up United. |
Did i vote? No Does my voting matter? It Doesn't I might be convinced to vote during the presidential elections if my current research gives positive results. Let me ask, since the first republic wey we do in 1963, how many people have won elections by amasing the percieved greater number of votes? if i can just be pointed to 3 or 4 guys who have won elections based on peoples votes i would have rethink, otherwise, INEC, Obasanjo, FEEDEEFEE, HAICEE, AENFEEFEE and the other parties can continue the rigginr battle. it is a sorry case. |
The rumor i am hearing now is that the Lagos office of AIT at Alagbado has been burnt, has anyone heard this? or can anyone confirm it? |
iice:nne, i fear you ooooooooooooooooooo |
well, the victory is good for Man Utd although as a Man U fan, i would still admit that it is not as surprising to me as Arsenal whooping Inter's Ass at their own backyard some seasons ago, with inter beating Arsenal 3 nil in London we had expected them to be soundly embarassed. remember that? |
How many football fans around the world could believe that result? i had almost given up on the champions league after two losses but this match has brought my faith back. |
on February the 26th.
