50 hearty cheers to the greatest musician ever, the True King of Pop. Mind you there would be no Usher, Neyo, Justin Timberlake amongst other without this guy. i love you michael!!!!
Celebrities / Re: Michael Jackson At 50 by seunspice(m): 12:18pm On Sep 22, 2008
Here stands the most successful artiste the world has ever known in terms of sales and followership and he gets more maligned than appreciated. i think MJ's problems are 150% his own making since he hit the self destruct button by denaturing himself.
But even at that, he remains the biggest thing ever to have happened to Music, lovers of Elvis, the Volks (oopss!!! Beatles), Prince, Maddona et al go take a hike.
I listened to the new Akon song titled Hold my hands featuring Michael and that was a lovely track. MJ still has what it takes to make an impression on the present day music, but are the moves still there??
i hope so.
Music/Radio / Re: Who Has Registered For Project Fame West Africa 2008? Pls Help. by seunspice(m): 11:58am On Sep 22, 2008
The show is really nice, however, i would look forward to a better chemistry between Dare and Funmi the presenters and also , the show would do a whole lot more to catch up with the cinematography of the Maltina Dancehall. The show is probably the best i have seen in terms of production quality. I am not for reality shows sha, but i think Maltina dance hall has set a standard.

TV/Movies / Re: Quiz Line On NTA Is Daylight Robbery (419)? by seunspice(m): 12:51pm On Aug 13, 2008
Quizline is actually produced by Telemedia InteracTV (http://www.calltv.com/), Budapest and it is shown in over 40 countries worldwide amongst them are Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, South Africa, russia, India, spain, poland including Nigeria. I know several winners of between the range of N1,000 and N1,500,000.

Yes, you can call the producers on 08069040592, 08032008443 and 0806232624989 to channel your grouses.

The company does fulfil its obligation, the problem is that Nigerians dont bother to read the instructions before joining a bandwagon. please visit the website on http://www.calltv.com/nigeria/ and read the instructions. The game has been on for over 2 years and it is not presented within Nigeria, and for NTA the national TV carrier to air the program means that the federal government has an official backing to the program.

Kindly read the instructions, know the game pattern and flow with the trend before ever playing any game on radio and TV, moreso , it is a matter of choice.
Music/Radio / Project Fame Comes To Town! by seunspice(m): 3:43pm On Aug 04, 2008
Do you remember Project Fame, The music talent hunt show that launched the music career of Dare Art Alade in South Africa? Well, Ultima Limited (Producers of who wants to be a millionaire) and Endemol Africa have partnered to bring in the show to West Africa. Tagged Project Fame West Africa, the show (which is like a cross breed of the Idols and Big brother shows) would feature 15 contestants from across west Africa, the contestants would be taken through music composition and instrumentation classes and would perform on the live gala which would be shown on TV networks in West Africa.
You can log on to register if you are music savvy at www.projectfamewestafrica.com
I was at the media launch some weeks ago and it was a great show and lest i forget the show is powered by MTN. Auditions for Calabar zone, Kano zone and Liberia were held last weekend.
Education / Re: Unilag vs OAU-Ife vs UI? by seunspice(m): 10:30pm On Jul 30, 2008
The votes on this thread dont lie, i graduated from Ife quite a while ago and in the three offices i have worked till date i can only thank God i went to Ife, like we sing at Ife then "if i come to the world again, i would go back to ife". other schools are equally great but on the average an Ife student who attended school with an open mind and allows ife to pass through him/her is too loaded to fail.

I hardly ever visited UI although i grew up in Ibadan, i have been to Unilag couple of times and i am always impressed by what i see but nothing compares to Ife in terms of 'aroism', Dynamism, Architectural structures and all the works. even at my present office it is always beefs when 2 Ife grads are together doing this or that.

Greatest Ife!!!!!

yeaaaaaaaaa, david beckhman is probably kicking himself right now in california/, what an asshol
nazzyon:

David Beckham?

Ruud Van Nistelrooy may be a good player in spain but he is not the topgun for Madrid.

What a waste of talent?

Why do you guys have to bring up these guys names. Those two would remain Man United greats. And you can calculate RUUD's goal/game ratio this season. Apparently better than Thiery Henry i reckon. RUUD is still on top of his game. Injuries permitting. And becks is on the Hollywood train, but he is still arguably the best talent to come out of average England in the last 10 years. His contribution to England and Man U combined has not been upset by any player as at now. I however stand to be corrected.

Manchester United for life.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Chelsea Or Manchester United, Whose Cup? by seunspice(m): 3:30pm On May 13, 2008
Just seen the poll, missed it by whiskers before and United is JUST in front. Hope that ends up the case.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Chelsea Or Manchester United, Whose Cup? by seunspice(m): 3:29pm On May 13, 2008
Nna poster, why not put up a poll make we vote? I am a Man Utd fan, but from the last few years chelsea does well in the midst of uncertainty than otherwise. Therefore i would only say Man U would win cause of my love and Bias for my team. However, Looking at antecedents, United would win cause the squad is in good mental shape, but knowing who chelsea are and SFA's flair of defending against Teams like this, its an open game.

ONE UNITED

Jokes Etc / The Crowded Store by seunspice(m): 11:49am On Apr 14, 2008
It was the day of the big sale. Rumors of the sale (and some advertising in the local paper) were the main reason for the long line that formed by 8:30, the store's opening time, in front of the store.

A small man pushed his way to the front of the line, only to be pushed back, amid loud and colurful curse. On the man's second attempt, he was punched square in the jaw, and knocked around a bit, and then thrown at the end of the line again.

As he got up, he said to the person at the end of the line, "That does it! If they hit me one more time, I won't open the store!"
Jokes Etc / Late Drinking Can Be Dangerous by seunspice(m): 3:58pm On Apr 11, 2008
A guy is standing in a bar drinking when a stranger walks in. After a while they get to talking and at 10:30 the second guy says, "Oh well, I better get home. My wife doesn't like me to stay out late drinking."

The first guy replies, "That is because you aren't doing it right. You should do what I do. Go home. Sneak in the bedroom. Pull back the covers. Get down between her legs and lick, lick, lick usually about twenty minutes and there will no tbe any complaints in the morning.

The guy agress to try that and continues drinking with the other guy for about two more hours before heading home to give it a try.

When he got home, the house was pitch black. He snuck upstairs into the bedroom, pulled back the covers and proceeded to lick for twenty minutes. The bed was like a swamp, so he decided to go wash his face. As he walked into the bathroom, his wife was sitting on the toilet.

He screamed, "What are you doing in here?!"

"Quiet!" she exclaimed. "You'll wake my mother."
Music/Radio / Re: Rock Music Is Satanic? by seunspice(m): 8:07pm On Apr 10, 2008
Rock music gets its notoriety from hard rockers like Eddie han Halen, Slash, Marilyn Manson et al, but those are not just the guys who do rock, there are decent rock artists such as Avril Lavrigne. You need to hear the lady's songs and listen to the lyrics. they have positive depth.
If Rock music as the poster presumes is demonic, then Rap is satanic (which i definitely know is not true).
I got hooked into Rock as a life long Michael Jackson fan, i have since moved on to listen to other main stream rock artists and bands and my life has never remained the same A trial will convince you all.
here is a challenge to the poster and the anti rock guys on the thread. Tell me your favourite foreign artist, and i would tell you at least one rock/pseudo rock song from that artist.
Rock music is like football, it is beautiful but the beauty depends on the skill and approach of the players.
Rock rocks
Music/Radio / Re: Rock Music Is Satanic? by seunspice(m): 4:56pm On Apr 09, 2008
Maybe the poster should check out Roof top Mcs. That is a cool Rock group. If their music is demonic then my name is Barak Obama.

Music/Radio / Re: Rock Music Is Satanic? by seunspice(m): 11:24am On Apr 09, 2008
Rock music in itself is a form of music and i strongly believe that the poster's comment represent the general African belief and state of mind. i used to have such notions too before now, but here is the fact.

1. there are so many flavours of rock music, (soft rock, hard rock, Metallic rock, rock ballads, et al)

2. Rock music just like ever other music genres has evolved over time, thus some Musicians who are not in mainstream rock have rock singles.

3. Collaborations at its peak has made several rock artists team up with artists of other genres for various music blends.

4. For a wider audience, market and fanbase, most artists dabble into rock to bost record sales. As a kid, i knew Michael Jackson to be a Pop artist, but we all know he has great rock tracks, beat it, give in to me, dirty diana, D.S, Come together, Why you wanna trip, Jam , just to mention a few.

5. Finally, a look at the winners of the last few Grammy awards would convince you that rock music has cut across and is here to stay.

As to Rock music being demonic, i would tell you poster , yes and no.

Rock music even has its own gospel flavour, listen to Jadhelia's heritage and get back to me , gospel soft rock at its best.

A man, called to testify at the EFCC asked his accountant for advice on what to wear.

"Wear your shabbiest clothing. Let them think you are a pauper," the accountant replied.

Then he asked his lawyer the same question, but got the opposite advice. "Don't let them intimidate you. Wear your most elegant suit and tie."

Confused, the man went to his Pastor, told him of the conflicting advice and requested some resolution of the dilemma.

"Let me tell you a story," replied the Pastor. "A woman, about to be married, asked her mother what to wear on her wedding night.

"Wear a heavy, long, flannel night-gown that goes right up to your neck."

But when she asked her best friend, she got conflicting advice.

"Wear your most sexy underwear."

The man protested, "What does all this have to do with my problem with the EFCC?"

The Pastor replied, "No matter what you wear my son, you're going to get screwed."
