BY IMPLICATION OF HISTORY, THE MAN WAS A SLAVE OF THE BINIS, LIKE ALL HIS BROTHERS. MOREOVER HE WAS A COMMON THIEF, ALSO LIKE HIS BROTHERS OBJ, TAFA BALOGUN AND BODE GEORGE, AMONGST OTHERS.

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHY THE FABLED ABIOLA FINANCIAL EMPIRE CRUMBLED SOON AFTER HIS DEATH?
Yeah, we all know his financial empire is not what it used to be, that is the only sense in all what you have said, i think you are suffering from an inferiority complex or something, you dont have to speak so low about a whole group/tribe of people cause you have or perceive you have a growse with someone. it speaks volumes about your personality. Are those the only corrupt fellas in Nigeria?
PoliticsRe: Would MKO Abiola Have Made A Good President? by seunspice(m): 12:43pm On Jan 08, 2008
i dont think this thread is a reflection of how people feel about MKO as a person, and maybe most Nigerians react based on their exposure to detailed information or otherwise. one thing i know is that MKO was MKO and when he was alive he seemed never to be able to do no wrong ( apart from his philandering). The outcome of the 1993 elections can prove this. he was one loved Nigerian.
I do not judge people, but i know we would only be remembered by what we have done. i am learning a lot from this thread , such as 'what would be said about me when i am no more?'
SportsRe: 2007/2008 Champions League Draw by seunspice(m): 1:04pm On Jan 07, 2008
Whoever is hasty to predict any result for these matches might be making a big mistake. The cream of all the matches would be Arsenal - AC milan. An hasty judgment would say Milan if you are a Man U fan like me who easily remembers the humiliation of last season at the San Siro. History favours only AC but antecedents favour Arsenal too. Arsenals tightest ropes in Europe has always been Italian teams, but on a good day, Wenger's men would find a way through, we all took them for dead meat against Inter some years back especially after a 3nil loss at Highbury. That Inter team crumbled at the San Siro in a 5-1 reverse. I want to see a repeat of that this season. Then if a coach learns from the mistake of others, i think it is Wenger. Trying to play Milan Fancifully like Some United players did last season is a food for thought to Wenger. then i am quick to remember that Real Madrid, Juventus and a host of others all fell to the gunners some years back when Arsenal was beaten by Barca in the final. I might not be a realist , but England's best hope in this season's UCL still remains Arsenal and United. Chelsea would remain what they always are in the UCL , OUTSIDERS. Liverpool huh?? SportsRe: Who Do You Think Is The Best Football Coach In The World ? by seunspice(m): 11:46am On Jan 07, 2008
They say there are 2 types of coaches in football. Those that have been sacked and those waiting to be sacked. There are 2 coaches that make up a third group of coaches Sir Alex Ferguson and Prof. Arsene Wenger, It is not easy to be the coach of a team as big as United or Arsenal and stay at the helm of affairs for over a decade, talkless of 2 decades or more. to me these guys are undoubtedly the best coaches in the world by miles. with Ferguson just edging Wenger. I know if Wenger had been in charge of Arsenal since 1986 he would definitely rival Fergie and match him trophy for trophy.
Please note that i a Manchester United fan, but when truth needs be told, it has to be told irrespective of club affiliation.
Sports'manchester United Are Soccer's Most Valuable Club' by seunspice(op): 11:28am On Jan 07, 2008
Manchester United remain the most valuable football team in the world, according to Forbes business magazine.

The annual list ranks United above Real Madrid with Arsenal leapfrogging AC Milan into third spot and Chelsea in eighth position.

Meanwhile, David Beckham has lost top spot to Ronaldinho as the world's highest-earning footballer.

Ten Premiership sides appear on Forbes' list of the world's 25 most valuable football teams followed by clubs from Italy (four), Germany (four), Spain (two), France (two), Scotland (two) and Holland (one).

The Forbes list however says United no longer command the largest yearly revenues as Real Madrid (£191m), Barcelona (£169m) and Juventus (£164m) - who all have own individual TV deals - surpassed their figure of £158m.

Salvatore Galatioto, president of the sports banking firm Galatioto Sports Partners, said China remains the key area for future growth.

He said: 'A big reason why these teams are attracting suitors is their growth potential in all of Asia, but China is the key.

'You have great brands with these soccer teams that have not been fully exploited.'

Forbes say Beckham's lucrative move to Los Angeles Galaxy at the end of the season could see the former England captain recapture his position as football's highest earner.

Christianity EtcRe: Why Do Youths Run Away From Deeper Life Bible Church? by seunspice(m): 8:27pm On Jan 05, 2008
i really dont think it is a good thing to condemn anyone, be it from or outside the deeper life point of view, i have been attending the church for over 2 decades. and i do not think i would find it easy to leave despite several attempts to. i feel like fish out of water whenever i go somewhere else. i honestly find the use of drums and other loud musical instruments ludicrous in Church.
My believe is the church tries to stick to the old time religion, christianity as it was in the days after the ascension of Jesus is not the same way today. I was shocked when i read that all but one of all Jesus' disciples and apostles died violent deaths, likewise many other missionaries, pastors and christians of the last few hundred years. if one aims to get to the heaven those folks went to i think there is a need for a great self denial and sacrifice. one wont get killed now cause of the civilization, but when i read my bible and hear Jesus comment that ', the world would hate you cause they hated me first, ' i think Deeper life is the closest to the realization of this for me as at now.
In conclusion, we would all know the truth if we seek it. the Bible is there for us all to read and benefit from. what i do now is take a look at it and discard whatever is preached and is not there, and hold on to whatever is preached and i can see it in the Bible. I believe that would help us all a lot. Getting to heaven is not an easy task, if you see it as the main purpose of your christianity. God bless you all.

Jokes EtcA Christmas Joke For You All by seunspice(op): 5:40pm On Dec 25, 2007
A mom takes her teenage daughter to the clinic on christmas eve, her daughter had been showing symptoms of flu. the doctor conducts the test and says 'maam, i think your daughter is pregnant'.
'What!' screamed the woman, 'she can't be pregnant, she is only a baby' turning to her daughter she says 'you can't be pregnant baby, you haven't known any man'.
'No Mum, i am not pregnant, i have not known any man' sulks the daughter. The doctor stands up goes to the window, draws the blinds and stares at the sky ,
'Doc, is there any problem?' asks the mum.
'no problem maam, just that this last happened 2000 years ago, a bright star shone in the sky leading three wise men from the east bearing gifts, i'll be damned if i miss it this time.
Jokes EtcHonk If You Love Jesus by seunspice(op): 2:50pm On Dec 25, 2007
Grandma writes:

The other day I went to the local religious book store where I saw a "Honk if you really love Jesus" bumper sticker. I bought it and put it on the back bumper of my car and I'm really glad I did. What an uplifting experience followed. I was stopped at the light of a busy intersection, just lost in thought about the Lord, and didn't notice that the light had changed. That bumper sticker really worked! I found lots of people who love Jesus. Why, the guy behind me started to honk like crazy. He must really love the Lord because pretty soon he leaned out his window and yelled, "Jesus Christ!" as loud as he could. Why, it was like a football game with him shouting, "Go, Jesus Christ, Go"! Everyone else started honking too, so I leaned out my window and waved and smiled to all those loving people. There must have been a guy from Florida back there because I could hear him yelling something about a sunny beach, and I saw him waving in a funny way with only his middle finger stuck up in the air. I had recently asked my two grandsons what that meant. They kind of squirmed, looked at each other, giggled and told me that it was the Hawaiian good luck sign, so I leaned out the window and gave him the good luck sign back. A couple of the people were so caught up in the joy of the moment that they got out of their cars and were walking towards me. I bet they wanted to pray, but just then I noticed that the light had changed, and I stepped on the gas. It's a good thing I did, because I was the only car to get across the intersection. I looked back at them standing there. I leaned out the window, gave them a big smile, and held up the Hawaiian Good Luck sign as I drove away. Praise the Lord for such wonderful folks!

Love ya all,
Grandma
Music/RadioRe: Talking About 'Asa' by seunspice(m): 1:14pm On Dec 21, 2007
i must say Asa and TY Bello are the best Nigerian Musicians i have listened to this outgoing year. They have the talent and definitely bring out the 'FUNK' as well as have specific messages for every song. I hope they wont be one hit wonders and Nigerians and Africans celebrate them like we would celebrate foreign artistes. These SISTAS are hot. One Love

@ A-40,

Against a Chelsea team without Drogba, Essien and Terry?
Y'all lots are pathetic . . . .You played the weakest Chelsea team since Roman came to England.
Ben Haim was pushed . . . .Fabregas got away with murder . . . Eboue was pathetic.
Excuses are for boys , not men. I don't think Chelsea Losing to Arsenal or Liverpool losing to Man United spells the end of the road for them both, the season is a marathon and if the trends of the last 2 seasons are to go by, the premiership would go down to the Wire , (quoting Sir Alex Fergusson).
A friend of mine while commenting on the 2 matches said , "these results only confirm what we all know, there are 3 coaches in England, Alex Fergusson, Arsene Wenger and THE REST" Afterall, those are the only unsackable coaches in British football, if not the whole world when you consider the fact that there are 2 types of coaches , Those who have been sacked and those waiting to be sacked.

SportsRe: Will Man U Win The League Again by seunspice(m): 1:23pm On Dec 12, 2007
we needn't pray for anyone to lose for us to win the league, let the team that works for it win it, Arsenal and Chelsea are doing very god jobs on their stride, i don't see why we cant try and do better, but just like other seasons, i am very much doubtful we can win this one. Cause if we must say the truth, we have an inexperienced reserve line. lets see what happens at Rome tonite.
