123JohnF: Dear lady, even here in nairaland you are writing in February you were planted an embryo and you are following the fertility treatment. Are you sure, American embassy doesn't read nairaland when you were saying you are not pregnant? I think if it's not nairaland, VO did see you hiding your pregnancy or did see you are not telling the truth or in your last visit you were observed what were you doing in the states. So better blame yourself, not me. hnmmmmmmm |

Ebalu953: At fault in what way? Answer no? Of course i would like to give birth in the us when i get pregnant and dont want drama neither do i intend to use a visit visa to birth. I. Have been following the forum and we are always advised to speak the truth. I read here when one lady was asked same question and she answered same. She was granted the visa and adviced to pay all her bills if she gets pregnant within the 2yrs visa. Would i have lied Pls educate me. Thanks I never said you should lie but the visa you're applying for is not for is not for birthing and in her case she said she's not sure and you can actually use your visa for visit and decide to use it for birthing afterwards so far your zero balance is in order and you did not accept discount. |

OmoBendel24: Awesome take.
"Jejelly" checking into an hotel works best. But seems cut costing is important here....
SLEEPING WELL IN THE PLANE FIRST AND BEINGFRESH ON ARRIVAL THEN COULD HELP TOO.
With the baggage in the mix, that's gonna be a hell of stress. This is the main reason I will normally suggest this person flies from JFK especially if the price difference isn't much, check your stuff in the very night you arrive and become light. Most airlines will be about $30 on first checked in baggage. Cheap still! Would have suggested Southwest, but I think they fly in and out from LGA, their baggage allowance is awesome.
TSA crew won't be available on all terminals of JFK, so you can only stay around the only 24hrs open one or you find your way to Downtown and flex jare!
Well, well. "Uberise" with your baggage to the Mega Bus Station and by all means check your stuff in if possible.... You are light thereafter and already around groove centre, oya go. Come back early enough to catch your bus. If groove no first dey your body, you go hear am oh!
Hopefully CBP "delays" and maybe Secondary Inspection won't have anything on you, else most of these options will come to nought. She should Just fly to Chicago from Nigeria instead of JFK, the different is not up to N70K instead of going through stress. |

He just has to make a decision between Price & Comfort... Exactly |

7Alexandre: He can also take a Greyhound Bus from New York City to Detroit Michigan...
It’s cheaper but albeit a longer journey...
He just needs to compare & contrast Price versus Time and then make an ultimate decision... If travel is less than 6 hours by road I rather choose bus instead of flight. |

123JohnF: She is retired now and she came to help Nigerians to understand our visas system and Nigerians here are so malicious digging on her and criticizing her. This lady is a high level professional and even if she wasn't, her advice is / was very valuable and losing her advice here, you lost, guys. Keep digging and criticizing. If you know me, you won't open your mouth and spurt nonsense, all I said is that I don't believe she's real (Not a Consular Office) and added that I might be very wrong, fortunately a lot of sensible people explain things to me in details and to be honest I realized I was wrong about her all along. Which of these is hard for you to digest. |

So about 7 nights would be about 150k. Feeding lets say 100k for the 7 nights. In all he would spend about 600k not even close to one million. Nice calculation... feeding should be 50k for 7 days. |

Celeritas01: Okay sir.. Thanks alot. Sorry to bother you again Please. My.final destination is Detroit, but I would stop at JFK first of all.. How do I connect to a local airport around?. Bus, hotel, how can I connect both airports sir? Fortunately for you can get a ticket for Detroit in JFK if it's cheap but if not that means your domestic flight will leave from LGA. There's no subway or train that goes directly to LaGuardia. Instead, you need to follow one of these options. While JFK is only about 10 miles from LaGuardia Airport, it can cost up to $45 with a private car service or taxi between both airports. Fortunately, there is NYC Airporter, the only airport bus authorized by The Port Authority of NY & NJ. For only $17, you can board from all terminals at both. Travel time is about 1 hr, remember NYC traffic can be hectic, so please allow for extra travel time between flights. |

OmoBendel24: Seyewest; hardly can that woman be fake. Person wey me dey even suspect say she be "Security Personnel" join sef? Our prejudices may make us get swayed (remember she's worked at different Missions of the US around the world, her views may then not completely cover how we think it works in their Nigeria Mission), but she seems sometimes to be in the mould of the VOs we have had here on NL, even a higher version of them on occasions... Exactly US Homeland Dept won't allow someone with vast experience to rot away on Quora/Social Media (She's very good and remember I said may not be a Consular but very sure she has worked in various Embassy all over the world) but what do I know, it's just my gut feeling especially with her posting her pics isn't that risky? |

id911: Good day everyone!
Please I need info about my sister traveling intent. She's about applying for a visit visa and she intends to go/travel during the next long school vac since she's working in a post primary school here in Nigeria.
There're two options available for her invitation and stay there for the short visit. An uncle, who's been staying in the States since the late seventies but has been coming to Nigeria almost every year but recently retired as the Head of a School there, and her friend who's a PR holder who got there through Visa Lottery Program. Both are home owners in the US. They are ready to give her invitation, accommodate her during the short stay and even financially too, if need be.
I want to know which of these two people invitation would be best for her so we know the one to go for. Or is it possible for the two of them to work together on her case to make it easier?
Forgive me, I don't know much about this traveling stuff. She's quite older than me but I'm her 'guide' Everything is on point but your sister ''ties'' to Nigeria must be strong and I'm sure she has a lot of travel history. |

PinkSunset: Bikonu, i have question. The last visas we were given, we haven't used it and I'm not sure we will use it this year sef. It expires March next year (i think).
If we don't use it at all, do you think it will affect our chances of renewal when we need to get them renewed? Yes I believe it will affect your application unless you've travel a bit to other countries apart from U.S within that 2 yrs. |

Omega30: .I think B1 is not just for Conference/ Seminar bro: The holder of a B-1 visa, or a person travelling for business without a visa under the Visa Waiver Program, may undertake any one of the following activities:
Attend business or professional conferences or conventions Consult with business associates Negotiate contracts Purchase goods or materials Appear as a witness in court trials Undertake independent research
Travelers entering the U.S. under the B-1 classification may not perform productive work or accept paid or unpaid employment. Copied from US embassy and consulate site There was nothing about working on behalf of his company during the Visa Interview. |
