Chips101: 1) No. You are not resident in Japan and so have no ties to the country in which you would interviewed in. The American Embassy in Japan has no way to assess your ties to Nigeria. They are not omniscient.
2 & 3) Since you're ineligible to apply, these don't apply
4) If you are being interviewed in Nigeria, yes, in as much as it gives you travel experience You can get an earlier date in Abuja but you must be very patient... keep checking the website regularly. |

Forfoodonly: Milan is absolutely wonderful for shopping. And so beautiful too. Like it even beats London and Paris Imo. And guess what flights are like 400-450$ max on AirItaly from Lagos. Five hour flight for that matter.
Another benefit is you and your mil can do a day trip to nearby cities like geneve. You could also go to Rome/Venice 3-4hours by bus. Tickets to Vienna Austria is always so cheap from Milan. The 1300 you would have spent on ticket alone to NYC would go a long way.
If it’s just shopping, America is not the only option. Lolzzzz you think it's easy |

https://www.nairaland.com/5133759/brother-family-sent-down-plane/7 This happens most of the time but they don't even allow the passenger to board the plane before informing them of their ineligibility to travel to U.S... To be honest it's heartbreaking. |

You should be ready to ask yourself these hard questions. |

Ebalu953: What are my chances pls? This is my 4th us visa and 3rd drop box renewal. My first us visa was issued in London. I was sent a 221g paper and asked to book an appointment. I am married and my husband also has a us visa. He travelled with it in Jan and spent 2wks and came back. I am travelling alone to spend 2weeks in Florida. I have no family in us (filled that on the form right from my first visa). I have quite a good travel history. Have 2 schengen visas and 3 UK visas (I studied masters for 1yr in the UK). Note: I am not pregnant. Please guide me on how the interview goes and why I was given the 221g paper. (The paper states I should just come for interview. No aditional documents required). Did you reapply in Nigeria or UK? |

Sasorah: Hello people, just recently started following this thread. Please I need your help, i want to know my chances of getting visit visa. Before I thought it would just be the interview but I know more stuff now
I'm 17 years old studying international relations and diplomacy 200 level in Benin Republic. I've also been to Togo and Ghana for excursion .. My uncle wants to sponsor my trip to any country of my choice as a gift for my 18th years birthday. I'm so excited. I live with my family and they approve. I chose USA because it's a really popular place and I'd like to be in new York city. I want to travel during my holidays and my school registrar is also giving me a letter. Please what are my chances of getting the visa. I'll be 18 by August. Sorry to burst your bubble... You will likely be denied... you need good travel history and stronger ties. |

holluwizzy: Getting any of this listed Visa with work and my family is coming with me If that's the case, why is everyone in Nigeria not doing that? what's so special about you that those countries you listed will give you a resident visa and work permit, bros let no one deceive/fraud/scam you, most Western Countries made it very hard for most Africans to get work and residence permit unless you want to work illegally in those countries. |

AwesomeGod: We will see how it goes. Mine is a few days before you so you should get plenty info before yours. lol!! My take is, attend the interview, present matter as e be and let them exercise their discretion. There are too many places to visit in the world. No need for plenty fuss. No one will turn down a discount. The most important thing is that you pay what you are billed. Denial of a visa should not be punitive but passed on an infraction. If people are not flight risks and the hospital did not go back to the government to make up the discount, then what are we talking about? Capitalism means individuals price their products as they deem fit. One should not mandate others to spend 15k at the minimum or risk not getting their visas renewed. Will hopefully come back here to upload my transcript. This point of view is dangerous and it's the reason why they keep denying us Visa, before you birth in U.S you should be curious to why U.S open their Medical Facilities to foreigner? The main reason is to make foreigner pay double or tripe what a citizen will pay so that it can in turn help develop the U.S Medical sector. (It's all about the Benjis) If we have to look at it from your angle, what exactly are you adding to the U.S Economy by using the cheap medical or discount, U.S Govt promised your child a U.S International Passport and possibly citizenship, don't you think you should be paying top dollars for that? Do you think any U.S Citizen will want to birth in Nigeria with the promise of our Passport and Citizenship. What we like doing is spoil things for others and this is the reason why we're still where we are. |

sugah: With all due respect, that's not your decision to make. Every parent/intending parent has a right to want the best for their kids, it's not your place to tell them what is or isn't best or if their kid would or wouldn't be great. I wonder oooo... for the fact that it's not illegal, he has no right to judge them. |
