I have always felt there was something different about the couple! I absolutely love them!

If those things did happen to you, you can consider your escapes miraculous! Someone's definitely watching over you for some reason but whom you choose to credit your protection and preservation to is your choice. Whether you are giving credit to the right person is the real matter.


People define miracles in many ways. I see miracles as divine interventions where human and physical efforts fail. When you say ‘miracle is a patentship of Christians’, do you mean that Christians more readily acknowledge God for almost everything? Yes, I think they do. I attribute every goodness and favour I have found to God Almighty. I have no power of my own to protect myself from this world.


I credit my protection and preservation to my Creator Jehovah. His plans for me are plans for good, not of evil, to give me an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11). Psalm 121 says more of our protector.

2My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

I do not put my trust in horses and chariots (Psalm 20:7), or in worldly ‘connections’. I am ‘connected’ to the most high God – not ‘jekuredu gods’.


You said in an earlier response that you believe in an Almighty God. You say that you ‘conquered death and have virtually been living on a borrowed life’. This makes me say that you do think someone is responsible for your still being alive today.

Who has been preserving you? For what purpose? Do you credit your life to him? Do you worship him? Do you seek to please him in all you do? Do you communicate with him? Do you hear from him? How have you appreciated the one who has protected you? What relationship have you got with him? Father –Son/Daughter; Master – Servant; Groom – Bride, Father-in-law – Daughter-in-Law or Friend – Friend?

Who deserves credit? How can we give credit to him that deserves it? We can do so by living our lives in a way that lets others see him in our lives and praise him!

What more can you give to that someone who gave you your life (You said borrowed life) back other than your life?


Make sure you have been giving credit to the one who deserves it. Imagine your son thanking the gateman instead of you every time you buy him a present! Give credit to the one who truly deserves it!

My family is a living example! In 2005, a man made a death threat against my father, he still continues pronouncing to people that my father would die. Every other person this man had in the past made a death pronouncement against died. I am talking of not less than 20 people (before my family cut ties with him, probably more since that time), they usually die within 30 days of his pronouncement or fall sick within the 30 days and die after a prolonged illness. He also keeps pronouncing all sorts against my family. It has some years now and I thank God that every weapon that has been fashioned by this man against my family has not prospered. Yes, he tried to keep his promise but the Spirit of God raised a standard against him. Whenever this evil man is planning something it is always revealed in a dream to one or more members of my family. My family has passed through a lot but God has always been there for us. He has made sure that the waters have never overflowed us. Today, my family is fine and doing well contrary to the evil man's pronouncements. Every minute that my father breathes is a miracle for me; every day that each member of my family spends on this earth is a miracle.

I don’t know if you are looking for testimonies of a specific kind of miracle but this one above is one that I am continually grateful to God for because salvation and the gift of life are greater than any other type of miracle. We continually cling to his promise in Psalm 91 and all the other promises.

We have tasted the Lord and know that he is good! ‘If God be for be for us, who can be against us’ (Romans 8:28 -31)! ‘When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him’ (Isaiah 59:19).

When all sorts come your way in life and you can’t handle them on your own, who do you turn to? Who do you call on? Who do you ask for a help? Who do you ask for a miracle? Whose promises do you stand on?

I ask Jehovah who is tried and tested, in Jesus name. I check the Bible and hold on to him and say if did this miracle here, he can do mine! His word says ask and it shall be given to; seek and you shall find; knock and the door shall be opened to you (Matthew 7:7). He will move mountains for me; He will make a way where there seems to be no way.

I currently own 3 translations and went through 4 other translations while growing up yet the message has still been the same: ACCEPT CHRIST, LOVE GOD, LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOUR! I can access all other translations on the web if I want examine how other translations state a verse. All translations in their entirety still points us to 'JESUS - THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE'.

What is important to me is the Joy of salvation and the assurance of eternal life! I will examine all things and hold on to that which is true! The Holy Spirit confirms and teaches the truth. The Holy Spirit is 'THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH' and 'THE ULTIMATE TEACHER'! THE WORLD CANNOT ACCEPT HIM BECAUSE THERE IS NO LIGHT IN THEM! JESUS' SHEEP KNOW HIS VOICE AND WILL RESPOND TO HIS VOICE! THOSE WHO CONTINUALLY REJECT THE WORD OF GOD WILL BE LEFT TO FOLLOW THEIR OWN WAY, AND THAT WAY DOES NOT LEAD TO GOD!

Paul is saying in this verse that JESUS CHRIST IS THE ‘VISIBLE IMAGE’ of the ‘INVISIBLE GOD’.

In John 10:30, Jesus said ‘I and the father are one’. Whatever any bible translation says or any person that will try to tone down what Jesus said here does not negate the fact that what he told them made them want to stone him. In John 10:33, the Jews made it clear that they wanted to stone him for ‘making himself out to God’. They understood what he said and what he meant. That brings me to tell you that JESUS DID SAY THAT HE WAS GOD.


Rhino3.dm, it is dangerous to read the Bible in parts and not consider preceding events or declarations. It is even far more dangerous to READ THE BIBLE WITHOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT (THE AUTHOR). I said in an earlier answer that words mean nothing without spirit.

No one comes into the ‘PRESENCE’ of God without Jesus. You need to have been sanctified by the blood of Jesus to enter into his presence; to feel him, to know him, to have him within you! We cannot afford to reject the Father who came to us in the form of the son to die for us!

I do not understand the relevance of Psalm 90:2 to the discrepancies you are trying to show. Reading the previous and the next verse does not show any discrepancy either. Perhaps, you intended to quote a verse other that Psalm 90:2. The verse simply says that God has been God for ages, even before he created the world, and he would forever be God.


The verses below contain ‘alleged discrepancies’ that seem to be a source of confusion for you.

I am not afraid to hear the truth from you, I am not afraid to listen to your views! Why are you 'hiding' those scriptures that point out that my views are wrong? Anything that is being kept away from 'light' (truth) is 'darkness' (false). Bring those scriptures that support your views out here in the open, if there are any.

I was born a Muslim became a Christain when I was 14 because my mum decided to convert back to her former religion. I was a very good christain I must say, but left the entire religion when i found out that prayers was a farce(I even try to lay hands on sick people before so that they could get healed but nothing happened ). There was a day back in kano during the religious crisis of 2004, I was together with a group of friends(VERY VERY strong christains) when the crisis got to where we were. The crisis began around 2 pm after the slaves of Allah were giving moral and spiritual invigoration after the friday prayers. We(about 15 of us) were in church when the crisis came to where we where. When the rumours started flying that the moslems had come about we all ran away but had to come back into the church when we realised that the church would be safer for us. I told them that i would go out and keep an eye on the moslems because as a an hausa guy(who speaks the language perfectly) who was also a former moslem and could recite the koran very well I had no problem staying outside. My friends strated praying in ernest to God to come and save them. To cut the story short the slaves of Allah came and went into the church, I lied to them that I was a muslim and begged them to spare my friends but they refused. When they got into the church my freinds were so confident that Jesus will save them, they prayed to God to send his angels to come and blind the eyes of the moslem assailants, they were more than confident that it would happen. There had no fear on their faces and prayed in the front of the moslem killers with full confidence since prayer was the only thing they could do. The killer slaves of Allah waited for them to finish praying some of them(killer slaves of Allah) bursted out laughing because they were amazed at the way my freinds were speaking in tongues and praying even in the face of death while the other killers patiently waited. After about 10 minutes one of the killers cut the chase and started slamming my friends with his spear. They killed all the males among them (9) and despoiled all the females. Since them my belief in the God of the bible dropped 50%. When I went to sweden my belief droped futher to about 70%. After I opened my eyes to the world, did my personal research on how the bible was written, why it was written and all the fallacies that were inside my belief droped futher to about 90%. Now that I am in Nigeria I am confident to say that the God of the bible is a farce, Allah is a farce and all the Gods that Nigerians worship are are a BIG joke. So poster go ahead and tell your girl she deserves to know the truth, as for friends and family pls don't for now until you are completely independent. Nigeria is a place were you could be killed for openly displaying your lack of belief in God.

When people commit evil in the name of God, it doesn't render God inexistent or powerless; It just shows how deranged the ones who commit those crimes are! Those who sow evil will reap evil; simple law of harvest!
