This rebuttal is full of lies. Someone comes to your office and locks you in....and all your other staff were looking and did not stop him?? Oga lawyer, you can lie o. |
LadyGuinivere:I hear.....that there is a policy to deny visa applications as much as possible, except for medical and highly important situations. This is because Nigerians have been abusing their visas lately and a lot absconding to Canada. |
Na wa o. Please we need transcripts of visa interviews. That's the only thing I look forward to on this thread. TWoods and his defender ti take over. See attack and defence manifesting here. |
justwise:I believe the issue is really about the way TWoods accuses almost everyone of being fraudulent without proof. The way he disappeared when someone made an unfounded allegation about his brother added some credibility to that allegation, which may actually not be true. He is simply being judged using the same yardstick he judges others. |
TWoods:He who comes to equity must come with clean hands. You can't go about judging people without proof when people have reasons to judge you too without proof. Except you are okay with being referred to as a fraud too. Something like a yahoo turned legit. |
monchat:Not true. I got my visa last November after spending just 5 months at my place of work. I knew it might be a weakness so when she asked how long I had worked there I told her 5 months but also mentioned I had spent almost 10 years in my immediate past employment. Meanwhile, I was getting the visa for a work related training program. |
OmoBendel24:Try wontra.com Very reliable. Always booked my tickets with them and i have never had any issues. |
This is a similar position held in the book 'The Midas Touch: A Balanced Approach to Biblical Prosperity' by Kenneth E. Hagin. It was published in 1999 and i read it around year 2000. I still pay tithe but i don't do it out of fear of being cursed or going to hell. I give because i believe in what the church is doing and i know that it is God that sustains me. |
Lorayne:1. Don't ever miss any class. 2. Always sit on the front row in class and take notes in class. 3. Start preparing for exams NOW (1st day of lectures). Do not wait till exam period to start studying. (Please note: I am not asking that you read 24/7, just start your reading early and be consistent) 4. Make sure you finish the syllabus pali to pali (back to back) 5. Have a reading timetable and allocate EQUAL reading time to your courses. Follow it religiously. 6. Get past exam questions from older students and practice the questions like mad. The more past questions you get, the better. 7. When you have studied, look for someone to teach...it enhances your own understanding. Wish you all the best. |

So.....i should have posted this since November 2017 but sorry i am posting it now. Before going for my visa interview in November, i read this thread like i was preparing for an exam and i must say it was very useful so i guess i have to share mine. Big thank you to all the gurus in the house. As a background, i am single (widowed actually), i have a child (I was not required to fill any info about him in my visa application and i still don't understand why), I just changed my job when i applied and i was going for a 1 week training in a university. My only travel history is UAE (honeymoon) and an African country (work related). Almost everyone before me (over 15) was denied except a young lady seeking a student visa (her application was on hold as the VO told her they would verify the bank statement she presented), so i was afraid. That morning made sure i was well dressed. Sharp suit, crisp shirt but i did not wear a tie so as not to overdress. The VO was an African American lady. My interview transcript. Me: Good morning VO: Can I have your passport (passed my passport) VO: Where are you going Me: xxxx university VO: DC? Me: Yes, Washington DC VO: What are you travelling for? Me: For xxxxx training VO: What is the training about Me: I explained VO: How long are you staying: Me: 8 days VO: What do you do? Me: I work as xxxx in xxxx consulting firm VO: What does your firm do? Me: *surprised at the question* i answered CONSULTING VO: Obviously, what consulting? Me: HR, Finance, Tech (i sha mention all the areas we consult in) VO: Who are your clients? Me: I start to mention name of clients and she cuts in..... VO: I mean your own clients that you work on (she probably assumed i was a consultant or she was testing me as i already mentioned my role which is not a consulting role) Me: I am not a consultant. I am xxxxx in the firm VO: How long have you worked there? Me: I just joined x months ago BUT i had worked in xxxxx Limited for almost 10 years before joining. VO: Who is paying for the trip? Me: My firm VO: Who is your MD ( i guess she googled my company's name) Me: Mentions the name of the md (i think the name i mentioned was not what came up in the search) VO: Who is your chairman? Me: Mentions name (at that point i knew she was checking google...cos the chaiman's name was what she wanted to hear) VO: Have you travelled before: Me: Yes. UAE for my honeymoon and Ghana for work. VO: Do you have any family in the US? Me: Nope VO: Do you have any friend? Me: Without thinking....i answered NO. (after saying NO, i remembered i had some friends in the US. I wanted to raise that but i sha kept quite) VO: After what seemed like a long typing on her keyboard....she says....your visa is approved....bla bla bla.....i was not hearing anything again. Me: Thank you.....with a smile. No documents checked, no questions about my child or marital status. I collected my white paper and bounced out like a star. This was my first attempt at getting a US visa. I had tried Canada for a conference about 5 years ago but was denied on the basis of no travel history. |
AAUperfection:MAD traffic about to begin in Gbagada...... |
KaptainAfrika:Or maybe the salary he stated on his interview form is not a lot. |
aod1:FAKEnews.com The guy wants to sell his book that is full of lies. |
Big ups to the writer. I am no doctor but i have cared for a sick family for long before death. People can become very sentimental when a loved one dies and then try to blame everyone else including the medical personal involved in the treatment of the patient for the death. When i saw the story, i concluded that it was not 100% the case of what really happened. We need to be more understanding even when we lose our loved ones. |
ebusfav:Absolute nonsense! |
dragonking3:Which kind wahala be this? you can't read ![]() Go through the first post. |
plaetton:Unfortunately, you are actually the one that needs to take comprehension lessons. Here are some quotes from the bbc article: 'Shell also had good reason to suspect that hundreds of millions would end up in the pockets of Nigerian politicians including the former President Goodluck Jonathan.' 'In an email from July, the same Shell employee says Etete's negotiating strategy is "clearly an attempt to deliver significant revenues to GLJ [Goodluck Jonathan] as part of any transaction." ' 'Italian prosecutors allege that $466m were laundered through a network of Nigerian bureaux de change to facilitate payments to President Jonathan and other politicians. ' How does these statements amount to 'an innocent gossip, a CONJECTURE based on innuendo' according to you. Now take note: 'OPL 245 is an oilfield off the coast of Nigeria whose estimated nine billion barrels of oil are worth nearly half a trillion dollars at today's prices. Shell has been active in Nigeria for nearly 60 years and was keen to acquire the field. ' An oil field valued at about $500b but was acquired by paying the NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT (headed by who??) $1.3b in 2011......and you claim there were no kick backs?? Innocent gossip?? 'Shell and the Italian oil company ENI eventually acquired OPL 245 in 2011 - by paying $1.3bn to the Nigerian government. ' Guy, you need serious comprehension lessons. |
dragonking3:LOL. It was mentioned in the tweet. same writer tweeted. By the way, i am the OP. |
plaetton:Oil block worth $500b sold for $1.5b. How is that smaller that $2b? GEJ has the award of being linked to the biggest oil corruption scandal ever. |
Mariory:Very bad publicity for Nigeria.... |
dragonking3:Below is where GEJ was mentioned. That money was then divvied up in personal accounts of Nigerian pres Goodluck Jonathan, the attorney general, petroleum & defense ministers. |
plaetton:You should watch this video. Did you hear 2011?? Who was president then?? https://www.facebook.com/apc.london.7/videos/1862793903964227/ |
SuperS1Panther:As in.... |
engrfcuksmtin:So .......Jonathan decided to do likewise. No wonder he said stealing is not corruption. |
A report on foreignpolicy.com by Robbie Gramer has linked the former president of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to one of the biggest oil corruption scandals in history. See his tweets below. Leaked records show Shell's complicity in one of the biggest oil corruption scandals in history. Shell denied any complicity/role in $1billion of Nigerian public funds disappearing. New leaked docs prove otherwise. One leaked email from Shell employee: “Etete can smell the money...I think he knows its his for the taking. One Nigerian businessman, Aliyu Abubakar, withdrew $54,418,000 in cash after Shell/Eni deal on oil field was struck. According to Milan prosecutors office, another $466,065,965.44 was withdrawn in cash -- IN CASH -- after Shell/Eni Nigerian oil deal struck. That money was then divvied up in personal accounts of Nigerian pres Goodluck Jonathan, the attorney general, petroleum & defense ministers. This is one of, if not the, biggest corruption scandals in oil industry's history. Shell denied any role, but new leaked emails prove otherwise. http://foreignpolicy.com/2017/04/11/emails-show-shells-complicity-in-biggest-oil-corruption-scandal-in-history-nigeria-resource-curse-etete-eni/

dunkem21:You meant this? d. In addition, N2.6bn (two billion and six hundred million naira) is allocated in 2017 to support the network of federal Security Agencies in Kaduna with communications, logistics and material. |
hoodmenconcept:And you don't know how much people have made or achieved from BBN?? |
hoodmenconcept:ENTERTAINMENT!!! Simple as ABC. The aim is to entertain the viewers, which they have been doing successfully. They entertain viewers, more people watch DSTV leading to more revenue from subscriptions. They are able to pay staff salary in Nigeria and then make profit for the owners. Companies advertise their products which lead to brand visibility. More customers buy these products so the companies are more successful. It all helps the Nigerian economy. Meanwhile, what is the aim of boxing, soccer, commedy shows, Nairaland. How does your commenting on Nairaland help the economy?? Some peeps can ask silly questions. |
JeffreyJamez:If ALL what she wrote is the TRUTH, nothing illegal has been done. He will get nothing if she can prove it happened to her......AND she does not need his consent to publish the truth. As long as what she published is true and she has proof. |
He should go back to his home state / village to farm or help develop the state instead of turning himself to a nuisance in Lagos. |
