Boss13: I was a Christian and still keep to some good Christian morals. I still pray through Christ. The idea is the earnesty in the prayer and not the medium.
There is no Hell. There are Heavens and not just one Heaven. There is no land of the dead. Death is a continuum of life, a necessity to living. I don’t believe in the existence of demons. Are they extraterrestrial beings - YES. Like I previously said, no extraterrestrial being would come to you, if you don’t invite them either via rituals or strong desires. Extraterrestrial beings do not bring harm. They come with messages. However, you have to be spiritual prepared. The reason why subconscious use familiar faces is because you are familiar with those individuals and you won’t get scared.
In the astral plane, it’s often advise to move without fear because what you think would manifest. If you think of demons, like the image you know them to be, you would see these monsters chasing you. However, they are your creation, you created them. Another example is being chased in the dream, FYI - dream state is also Astral plane.
Also one important thing - in the Heavens - LOVE is the only existence. Feeding and growing in the Love of the Creator. That feeling wey dey sweet belly, multiple am by 1million Times, that’s how you feel. Sweet sensation.
Finally, it’s good to know God or the Creator. It’s a beautiful experience. It is your TRUTH. No man or smooth speaking individual a.k.a pastor would ever deceive you or replace such experience. There are enormous benefits knowing God and pursuing spirituality Thank you for the time devoted to type this! I will make further research. |

Boss13: Not taking your spiritual exercise serious and hoping things fall in place for you - that’s wishful thinking - what I call the Nigeria way of doing things. It will not work.
Have an open mind. I think someone else mentioned some other stuff you can do. Research, read, study. However, before you commence, like in my case. Pray to your Creator to show you the truth and lead you to light. Be emotional with this prayer. Truth will come. My brother please note that Truth may not come at once. It will come piecemeal, maybe through a friend willingly to share information with you, through a book even the Bible. But start with that prayer and write your dreams down. Then be open and stay alert.
You shall surely be free from the shackles of falsehood and fraudulent pastors. Many are called, few are chosen. When the student is ready, the teacher appears. Okay... Well said... Blessings to thee! |

Boss13: Jesus said the kingdom of God is within you. The answer to your question is from within.
I gave a simple exercise - write down your dreams every night when you wake up. Before you sleep, pray to your Creator to understand the things of the spirit. Be honest and consistent. Your answer shall surely come. Don’t do a Nigerian on this one - I mean shortcut or quick fix.
You will have to work and earn it and even at that you will still continue to work your spiritual exercises. Gradually, you shall begin to see the light. Are you a Christian? Do you pray to your creator in the name of Jesus? What can you briefly say about the land of the dead, hell and heaven? If you believe there's no hell, do you believe in existence of demons? And what do you think will be their end? |

gensteejay: Finding spirituality is a personal endeavor.
Everyone should discover their own truths and create their own philosophy, based on their experiences and knowledge, not merely following the philosophies of Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc. as religionists do.
You can develop YOUR OWN spirituality by first researching about religions. Think critically about the teachings of holy books (the Bible, Qur'an, etc.). Read about the histories of religion and understand the part religion play/played in politics, colonialism, and slavery.
Reading the threads of Nlers, like musicwriter, OtemSapien, and some Nl atheists may help in this regard.
It takes time to do these things, but doing the research is quite worthwhile.
It's always good to approach things with an open mind, shun dogmatism, and understand the fact that religion is mainly about CONTROL, politics. Nothing more, nothing less.
If your background is in the sciences, you will make progress faster about your spirituality. If you're science-savvy, you also need to study philosophy (visit websites that discuss philosophical concepts like www.one-mind-one-energy.com and the likes).
Reading articles and books on logic and philosophy is also beneficial for people without any background in science.
These things take time and no single field has all the complete knowledge, whether it's science, religion, philosophy, atheism, etc. Some just have more complete and beneficial info than others.
Seeking knowledge is a lifelong process and is key to one's development and progress in life. I understand you... Thanks for this |

Boss13: Laugh - I know a native doctor that still goes to church back in my university days in Nigeria. Hope I didn’t burst your bubbles.
There is absolutely nothing wrong in believing in nature as long as you are spiritually fulfilled. The Creator exist in all things. There is equally nothing wrong in going to church, but if you seek spirituality, you won’t find it in churches. By spirituality, I mean Salvation. Then where can we find spirituality? |

Boss13: Yes I do - they have destroyed the fabric of our spiritual existence. They have confused young souls and led them astray. They claim to be wise, but are foolish. They claim to have knowledge, but know nothing about the spiritual worlds. They are like magicians or tricksters that have no special skills.
If you read comments - it’s echos the teachings of false and ignorant pastors. It took me a while to break free from ignorant pastors and now I’m wiser. I am better. I understand myself more. I am a seeker. I now have a better understanding of death and why we are here on earth. Open a thread on that! |

Don't mind those three, they should have declared to the audience their disappointment and dissatisfaction and walk out of that studio if they're not all present. It's a strong message to show that Nigerians are getting more serious and we won't take anything or let any arrogant person shove anything down our throats.... It'll make Buhari sweat more |

Very good decision.... The debate come look like comic show... I don't even know what those three are doing there and saying. They should have declined and damn the damned debate if all candidates can't be present. Let's know there's no debate and let's get prepared for election since the head of government is unserious enough to show up and acknowledge the people of the country... Arrant nonsense! |
Politics › Re: Political Godfatherism Kano Vs Lagos Template EXPOSED by sharpwriter(m): 7:50pm On Jan 19, 2019 |
NASTYNASOSO: *For the past two weeks, I have taken a lot of interest in two contrasting godfather behaviours, the ones by Bola Tinubu and Rabiu Kwankwaso.*
*Not only that Tinubu has successfully repelled PDP's assault on Lagos and the entire South-West, he has also succeeded in handpicking Fashola as governor. Eight years later, he singlehandedly handpicked Ambode against Fashola's wishes. Dissatisfied with Ambode's loyalty, Tinubu has today published Ambode's political obituary and all is now set for Sanwo-Olu's coronation tomorrow.*
*Kwankwaso on the other hand lost the battle for the control of the party to Ganduje, eventually leaving APC altogether. The recent decision to impose his inlaw as the Kano PDP candidate was met with rebellion from his own Kwankwasiyya family.*
*Why is Tinubu able to succeed where Kwankwaso and other godfathers failed, more so in a state as complex and cosmopolitan as Lagos?*
*I believe the answer lies in Tinubu's method, more than any differences in the social, political and cultural contexts of Lagos and Kano.*
*Tinubu built a political structure, with well defined leadership, plan and resources to execute such plans. Political activities start at local levels where local party leaders are rewarded, engaged and consulted in every major decision. It is a perfect political orchestra that produces a symphony between the godfather, party leaders and activists at local levels, and political loyalists embedded within various arms of government.*
*That's why in all of this, Tinubu didn't speak until today. He left everyone guessing. He did his talking through the party leaders. It is they who first rejected Ambode, it is they who first endorsed Sanwo-Olu, and it is they who flooded the media space with their campaign of delegitimization against Ambode. What that means is Tinubu was able to build a consensus and put his political house in order before calling for a fight.*
*The amazing wisdom behind this strategy is that the godfather gives party leaders the feeling that they are the ones making the call when in reality they are merely puppets in a grand game of political chess. That's an important lesson in politics. All that political and grassroots followers need is reward and accessibility. Reward in terms of opportunities for wealth and position; and accessibility in terms of consultation and being sensitive to their interests.*
*Contrast with Kwankwaso where the whole Kwankwasiyya movement is entirely about his person and nothing else, so personal that it was even named after him. Today, if you remove Kwankwaso, there's nothing left of the Kwankwasiyya movement. There's no individual that will hold the flock together in the absence of Kwankwaso.*
*That's why in the build up to the decision to field a governoship candidate, he flirted with different options before finally settling on Abba. Instead of following Tinubu's method by influencing local Kwankwasiyya leaders to champion that choice and build a Kwankwasiyya consensus from bottom up, he became the godfather, the fixer and the spokesman, and in the process, subjecting his authority to rebellion.*
*Last month, I wrote a political commentary on Kano's 2019 outlook and many Kwankwasiyya songbirds denounced me with their 'siyasan Kano Sai dan-Kano' gibberish, wrongly claiming that only those from Kano are capable of understanding Kano's political intricacies. Today many of my predictions have come to pass and some of those songbirds are now part of the rebellion against Kwankwaso.*
*Aspiring political godfathers have alot of learning to do on Tinubu's method. The game may change, the players may also change, but the strategy remains the same. As Napoleon said, the world is divided into kings and pawns, emperors and fools. And that is not going to change.* Hi bro.... Are you in kano? |

wizzie001: I had similar experience when I travelled to Makurdi some years back, saw a beautiful hotel around their modern market (name forgotten). Nice building, good furniture to name few, checked in without asking much questions. Left the hotel in the evening to go on sight seeing, then resumed back late around 10pm.
Man, no light, no reception in sight to vent my anger on, I just walked into my microwaved room dejected with my fone torch. Entered the bathroom to shower to atleast reduce my body temperature, alas no water , my legs nearly failed me coupled with alcoholic content in my system.
I was still in the bathroom thinking of what next to do when mosquitoes tune jeered me back into reality. Wore my clothes, carried my bag, went downstairs, told the 2 gatemen to open the gate for me, they refused , at this point, I was scared if i was not in ritualist den... It was already past 11, one of the security men nw said, Oga no vex, just manage till tomorrow, but we no go open this gate for you because it's late already and this area no dey safe!
Went back into the room, locked the door with all the available locks, pushed the chair to the back of the door, then waiting till when someone would come knocking, I didn't sleep all through that night with mosquitoes and heat having a field night and the fear of the unknown locked in my mind all night! Hahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha ... kai, you see horror that night. Hotel wey be suffering trap Sorry! |

So long as we seek to choose from the above mentioned definitions made by non Africans, it will never be suitable for Africans. All those systems we defined by white people. We can have our own that can perhaps borrow some from other systems.
Our judicial system, our constitutions etc are all Western and they have not worked for 99% of African countries. MONARCHICAL it is... |
