JubrinElSudan:
The truth is 99.99% of any private organization will go bankrupt if managed the way Nigeria is being managed. Most of these guys can't run their private companies like this but since it's government money, anything goes!
this is so correct, and yet you'll see them talking about recession and inability to fund the budget, only fools will think this govt is here to improve the nation's welfare with such open display of mismanagement we are not even talking about the official corruption yet, the relationship between our leaders and Nigeria is a parasitic one, our pain is their gain, Nigeria will always remain poor so that they can always become rich. Nigeria is not being lead to grow, just to stay afloat to keep pumping blood for the blood suckers.
Politics › Re: INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu Sued Over Asset Declaration by Shattuck(m): 7:00pm On Jan 22, 2021

Hausa, Fulani and Kanuri bear similar names & attire but Kanuri often have traditional names added in their names. Typical Hausa man phenotypically look different from pure Fulani but those into intertribal marriages are difficult to be differentiated. Kanuri have their facial look different from Hausa-Fulani but not extensively some look alike. Minorities in the community are identified through their states and residential areas but this is common among the people of the areas.
The attire is common and most Northerners speak Hausa irrespective of their geographical location but the dilect plays significant role in recognising the tribe of people in the north. Let me tell u, when Kano man speak I knw he's from Kano, the moment somebody from Katsina, Sokoto or Kaduna speak Hausa I can easily recognise it through the dilect and the use of some jargons. Though, Jigawa, Kano and Kaduna speak similar Hausa but Zamfara, Kebbi and Sokoto speak the same Hausa where as Katsina and Daura is different slightly in dilect.
The moment somebody speak Hausa from Bauchi, Adamawa and Gombe speak I can recognise it like wise Maiduguri and Yobe speak similar dilect of Hausa though those around Potiskum closer to Jigawa boarder have different difference. JOS and Taraba also have similar dilect when speaking Hausa except the minor ethnic groups in Niger, Taraba, Gombe, Adamawa; these ones are very difficult to recognise. When a foreigner from Niger Republic cross Nigeria just ask him to utter a word, the moment he talk Immigration will ask him to present ECOWAS travelling documents or risk deportation.
However, among the NC and Southerners dilect Igbos speak almost perfect Hausa due to common dilect they've with Hausa while Yoruba, Igala, Ebira and some other NC states tribes struggle to match Hausa dilect. I didn't have the opportunity to stay in Nasara and Benue to know much abt their Hausa dilect.
One of the most common Hausa dilect I recognise is Ghanian Hausas.
Most names are common because of Islamic influence in the North that's what give those from far headache.
So Hausa & the known Hausa attire are commonly adopted language and dressing in the North but to the ignorance of many they think when you speak Hausa or dress the way they do you're just Hausa-Fulani but this is far from the reality.
hmm this is quite deep and insightful because I could never have been able to tell which is which I just sum everyone has hausa/Muslim. Nigeria 's culture is really diverse, govt needs to do more to teach our kids about our cultural diversity. thanks for the insight.
Politics › Re: Jonathan, Jega, Nwodo Express Divergent Views On Restructuring Nigeria by Shattuck(m): 7:08am On Jan 22, 2021
only a sincere conversation can fix things in Nigeria, and restructuring would not do much for Nigeria, if our state government can not account for the little revenue they get how can they account for much. the biggest failure in Nigeria tbh is our judicial system people just loot and embezzle and carry out so much impunity you know why because their is no consequence for their actions, when you see a sane nation and a shithole the major difference is the rule of law. Nigeria 's biggest fail will always be the judiciary.
Politics › Re: Buhari: We Borrow To Finance Budget Because Of Dwindling Revenues by Shattuck(m): 6:50am On Jan 22, 2021
and why is there dwindling revenue? here is why because you know nothing on her to manage and grow anything even an economy. you only came to spend Nigeria 's wealth.

You're just trying to expose ur ignorance about multicultural nature of North. out of all those u mentioned only 2 are Fulani. What Senate President has to do with Fulani?
Calling NNPC boss Fulani is like calling Osinbajo Igbo.
IGP is neither has link with Hausa nor fulani.
Justice Tanko is also not Fulani.
Army boss isn't not Fulani either.
It seems many Nairalanders who always call every appointee Fulani need to know that Kanuri isn't Hausa nor Fulani and there are dozens of ethnic groups that are well blended in the north.
In the North tribe and religion is sometimes beyond appearance and attire.
I have always wondered how people get to differentiate a tribe from another in the north, how do you differentiate a fulani from an hausa man is it through their names or there are other things you use? like in the other part of Nigeria you can tell with their names.
Politics › Re: INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu Sued Over Asset Declaration by Shattuck(m): 6:35am On Jan 22, 2021
this wouldn't yield any result as I am yet to see any top corrupt official pay for their sins even the few who where sentence where still brought out from prison like, the level of corruption in Nigeria is world renowned.

Trump took his fight to the extreme. US is an Immigrant country, infact that was one of the reasons why God created it.For Trump to stop immigration, means he was indirectly fighting God.
it's kinda funny when folks say he stopped immigration, I think he just made certain restrictions, even when the visa ban was on Nigeria two of my relatives travelled to the us for the first time with their spouses, to live and work there. trump may not be the nicest of presidents but there are somethings he did right and Biden shouldn't be too eager to just undo everything.

look who is talking about a law passed, like that solves anything if you guys care about the masses you know what is right to do but yet you fail to do it, I am sure there is a law against corruption, yet Nigeria is a corrupt man's paradise.

Politics › Re: Christian Boko Haram Members: A Lie From The Pit Of Hell - FFK Attacks Gov Zulum by Shattuck(m): 6:29am On Jan 19, 2021
I think what he might mean by Christians, is that not all Boko Haram members are Muslims, some members from the northern Christian population might be involved although their reasons for joining bokoharam might not be for religious reasons maybe financial and their job might just be providing logistics. Boko Haram tbh has gone from being a religious propaganda sect to a full time criminal organisation, And you have all this folks cashing out even the military, are you saying that all this guys are Muslims I doubt it, I guess the governor was just trying to say Boko Haram is a full time criminal organisations with so much financial flow.

this is so pathetic, God how did we get here as a nation, everything being done in Nigeria just defiles logic and common sense, if you ask the government to explain and justify this what logic are they gonna use. a nation that can't just do what is right when it isn't even rocket science. just basic common sense.

God bless you, PMB!

Why I like our beloved father, President Muhammadu Buhari, is that he ALWAYS gets the RIGHT person for the job! God bless you, daddy. Nigerians are very proud of you!

God bless Nigeria.

My beloved brothers, do you know of anyone MORE QUALIFIED for the job than Marwa? Please we should stop bringing "tribalism" into everything, it's not good. Marwa was chosen for his competence and not tribe or region. Please let's be guided.

God bless us all.
competence my ass, if this was the first and only you can say that, we all know how unfair your darling daddy is.

if the Nigerian government care about the reputation of Nigeria I think its time to start investigating the activities of some suspicious Nigerians living overseas anyone found wanting should be denied their passport to these countries or you can snitch on them to their host nations. this drug and crime narrative is really worrisome, but then again even the govt back home is reputability useless.

How does David look so good in that picture despite having a buzzcut? Yvonne is an akata who wants to use her heritage for financial gain and nothing else. This news does not concern us. She is Nigerian only in name and not in upbringing.
someone who speaks Igbo fluently, has been to Nigeria several times, was even born in Nigeria, is an akata to you, and her only reason for doing this is strictly for money?
