BetaThings:
You are the one that needs refresher course
Seriously! $300 and $1,000, about 70% decline. In the value of US dollars?
We are talking about US, not some bankrupt country

Are you saying we cannot measure economic growth in current dollar terms in a non-hyper inflationary economy?
If you are saying that dollars have fallen in value, then you are even weakening your own argument
Because Naira has fallen more
Meaning that we have borrowed more in Naira terms
Exchange rate was N125 around 2005 and it is N160 now
If I owed $1m in 2005, that was N125m but it is now N160m

I need an extra N45m to pay off the same debt
If we even factor your assumption, it is worse because our currency has fallen harder against a falling currency

But you can attempt this type of wrong analysis against me (although you have failed)
But how has Jonathan and his team reported economic performance
Do they use your caveats?
pls keep hitting the nail right, i am loving it here.

We warned them before now but they chose to follow Tinubo like flies. But I await for that day when Yorubas will rise to threaten the unity of this country they will be sent to their early graves in there millions and there will not exist any more a people or a tribe called Yorubas.

1967 will be a child's play compare to what will befall them, good enough they don't have oil and gas like the SE/SS that will attract US and UK.

As for GEJ and happy that the grand plan hatched about a year ago by the SE/SS/North to skillfully and deliberately quench and decimate economically yoorobas are being implemented. Good one GEJ
the yorubas have been kicked aside but we all know the story of the SS, SE, and North today. Bayelsa the home of our No. one man summaries the state of the above mentioned regions. If jonathans tenure was going to favor his ppl and their new found political allies then we would have started seeing the signs now. After going thru $30b oil reserve and accumulating $40b debt, they are yet to see any improvement in those regions dont also forget that interventionist agencies in those region are a mess, if well over $90 billion in 4 yrs couldnt do the trick i wonder what $10b X 4yrs will do for gej and his pple and their new found husband/lover.

Beaf:
How much do you think it cost to banish the fuel queues?
i tot subsidy on fuel had done that already, and if i may ask how did it go from N250b/yr to N1,300b/yr in Gej time alone, just around when kerosine and diesel subsidy was being removed to reduce subsidy burden.

Beaf:
Its simple math that increased supply of fuel means increased spending.
Several contracts and payments for power supply have been made in a very short time also, surely you don't think all of that was done for free?
i tot contracts and payments go hand in hand, for any contract there must be payments made, why mention it twice? And pls back up some of these with facts and source. I wonder if u can tell me where exactly did those dollars used in Gej's campaign come from? The same dollars the Northerners were angry with their leaders for. Same dollars whose effect trigered killings of copper was actually used to subdue the families of the slained coppers. Let GEJ keep running his dollar govt 4 those who can't see.
He claims fuel subsidy is eating up money but when we factor in effects of deisel and kerosine cost, there is technically no petrol subsidy. This is the sort of situation u find ur self in when ruled by few men who belong . . . . . Abi?
I hope we open our eyes and realize that we have been robbed spiritually in this nation.
PoliticsRe: GEJ Talks To The Media: Presidential Media Chat Live! by sheyguy: 11:53pm On Dec 23, 2011
Between obj admin and gej's we av gone from $30b reserve fund to $40b debt. how did that really happen to us in the middle of rising oil price globally. Gej w/out doubt is one crooked man who happens to be the head of our current no.1 cabal. In this country.
His heavily funded election has used up our funds, the paycheck that sustains his cyber warriors is what they r trying to recover right now.
NO TO SUBSIDY REMOVAL.

There are no mainly-yoruba-army-men anywhere someone somewhere is only being outrightly stupid. Even a hausa/fulani soldier under heavy attack as claimed will kill any foe in sight.

He will eventually force lagos into practising trade by batter.

The copper has said somtin important, let them phase it in such a way that the palliative will have X stages and the oil subsidy removal be in X number of steps that way progress of the policy will be guided and less likely to spill outa control.
PoliticsRe: Removal Of Petroleum Subsidy: In Whose Interest? Live by sheyguy: 11:06am On Dec 22, 2011
@seun
the case of GSM was more of a newer and cheaper technology (wireless) replacing an older, costlier, and highly mismanaged cable comm. technology.
Dont also forget that GSM had the option of a roaming which was irresistible to most pple.
Copying and pasting privatisation policies of GSM sector to oil sector wouldn't solve our problem 100%.
Or what happens when the new private hands collude behind the scene to regulate the price of the oil product like some Nigerians did in south africa with the vehicle tyre business?
We need NNPC to be operating at the efficiency level of NCC b4 anything meaningful can be done. The Govt is at the centre of it all.

Ojukwu's wish was an igbo VP/running mate in an IBB 2015 presidency bid . . . . I pity those "hopelessly hopefools", even Sanusi is eyeing the presidency with an igbo vp/running mate,  when the igbos r already hopelessly hoping for the 2015 ticket.

Okay I don hear, Igbo no get knowledge. Now can you show the knowledge by telling us why you guys want to leave? What have you lost from Nigeria to warrant wanting to leave? What would Awo have been thinking now were he alive to see his people dreaming to leave the country he fought so hard to keep together?
the bolded is what i was answering . . . Why are u diverting? Is intellectual laziness already setting in again or its lack of patience and preference of power over knowledge and wisdom?

^^i dont study dead pple brain and the Neural Network in them . . . But am sure if he was alive and watching from the stand he would say welldone to the yorubas for carrying on in the midst of adversity (from the north intellectually and from the SE/SS emotionally/politically). Can Ojukwu say the same for the ibos? . . .  Even with his support all through the years?

If may ask, did awo really fight so hard to keep Nigeria one ? ? ?
