If found guilty, how exactly is this about OAU? Were they representing OAU in whatever they indulged in as adults above the age of reason baseline? Let's stop adding unnecessary sentiments to issues like this. What is important is to ensure the innocent don't get punished. That is the most important thing in law. Slurity: |
Sometimes it's either we don't pay close enough attention or we are simply not being honest with ourselves. What we create, or got created, in our minds can never replace facts. That's why it sounds funny & naïve to those who have first hand factual knowledge that clearly punctured our dogmatic belief. On this isolated matter, I pray justice prevails. The defendants represent themselves and not a university or the alumni and they should face their legal defense as individuals. datola: |

I know the meaning of BUILDING PEOPLE and the meaning of NEVER. What I don't know is your definition of NEVER. mrvitalis: |

Speak for yourself sir. The train works very well for me and thousands of people. The question is if you have personally ever boarded any of the trains? Are your comments factual or just stuff you manufactured in your head for argument sake? How can you say the train is used by those who normally fly? Really?? Regular people are using the trains because of other factors that also affect their pocket. The roads are unpredictable for several reasons including erratic drivers and other road users and you may end up spending more money! I have used Lagos-Abeokuta-Ibadan train several times. It makes perfect sense to me. I know exactly when my train takes off and I know when it arrives at the destination so I make my business plans around that. Also, they are not limited to the current time schedule as they will increase these in due course. What is important is that they have started this important service and they are doing very well. mrvitalis: |
Those who studied medicine by paying less than $100 a year for medical education in Nigeria and now earning over $250,000 a year in the western world were NEVER built by Nigeria? Those who studied engineering and other courses paying the same amount and are all over the world contributing meaningfully were never built by Nigeria? Those who were eating full chicken for lunch as students at UNILAG, UI, Ife, Nsukka & Zaria in their days while paying practically nothing were built by which country? We dropped the ball big time. No excuse. We let selfishness rule and we gradually allowed our space to be dominated by people of weak value system but to say Nigeria has never built its people is not true. mrvitalis: |
We already had 55 years of independence before APC with all sorts of academic theories. We have been building people and we have always had trains, roads, water plants, fire setvices etc even before independence. What exactly was built that was not needed? mrvitalis: |
We should just wake up suddenly and start building our own train when our people are bitterly complaining about our alternatives to foreign rice? Dey play o ![]() ramonchang: |

Should be noted that it was not a busy embassy at all (not sure of today) but that's not the issue being discussed. |
Unless it changed, that was never the case at this particular embassy being discussed here. It was the same standard fee, not a Brazilian centavo more not a Brazilian centavo less. kokakola: |
Nigerian Embassy in Brasilia-DF, Brazil has been issuing same day passport for a very long time and good to know this has not changed. |
The fact speaks for itself. Her father's middlename is poverty & that's why she can't be blamed. She is a trauma victim ![]() Antoeni: |
Also, for long and healthy life with good financial stability, men should avoid marrying women with no legit meaningful source of income unless she comes from a financially solid background. Enough of Nigerian men developing hypertension at age 40 because of someone whose family cannot afford basic things of life. |
Very very important question kabillionaire: |
I answered the question but only added more context. Africa is beautiful!Godfullsam: |
1 - Ghana *If I have one more slot, South Africa. I love Kenya, Morocco, Botswana, Liberia, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Mauritius, Cape Verde, Gabon, Angola, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Congo 1 and 2 etc. I love Africa and pray we eventually get it right. |
Very laudable. Like it or not, this administration is engaging with the people and we can only hope for the best. Let them fail first before we label them failures. Diaspora affairs have been neglected for too long. No clear strategy for an area that greatly support a chunk of our economy in the informal sector. We must support the diaspora and not make them easy targets for the bad ones among us. They should have corridors across the nation where they can setup investments and private properties creating employment for our people. Tourism is also there in this aspect. It's sad that our diaspora are now largely switching their travel plans, weddings, etc to the Caribbean corridor. Nigeria is a wonderful destination in locations where we have good security. We must tap into this economy and maximize it for the benefit of our nation. Most of these people are largely discouraged by many things Nigeria starting from our visa process in our embassies abroad, passport renewals where many have to travel long distance only to face insults and insensitive attitude by our embassy staff, even after paying so much money. Why should someone in Texas or Oklahoma be flying to Atlanta, Georgia or Washington, DC for basic consular issues? That's like flying from Nigeria to Senegal. Then they arrive in Nigeria after long flights to more insensitivity starting with poorly trained officials of a plethora of government agencies. We need to address all these. We can go on and on and on. |
If not for financial recklessness of the governors, Delta, Akwa Ibom and Rivers States are the places Nigerians should be "japaing" to by now. |

Same thing we keep enlightening ignorant people about UNILAG. There are bad apples but a university is a university. This has been going on in Lagos for several decades. Lots of "non-academic students" are landlords within and outside the perimeter of the campus ![]() Raskimonojendor: |
If you like go knock your hungry head on the nearest roadside pavement, UNILAG has always been special and will always be great and even greater as Nigeria develops. Feel free to brag about your own school but attempting to run UNILAG down out of envy just to feel good about yourself is an exercise in futility. You can try but you can't hide the glory of the sun. The pride of the nation! |
Eyes don clear patapata. Na n'gbati n'gbati epistles with fake smiles emoticons remain now. |
To those cursing Nigeria in their current state of pain and confusion due to some people manipulating their ignorance, back to sender is real oh & terrible when sent to a crowd. Ask your papa and mama at home, it's an ancient knowledge ![]() Just calm down, get some sleep. Wake up, pray to your maker your own way for your own good. O pari. Absolutely. The question is if you understand the basics of the legal system? Do you understand the legal implication of a supreme court ruling? bong4: |
Why waste time on clear stupidity. The worst appeal in our presidential election history. HitlerWasRight: |
The followers here are entertaining us with epistles to cope with their pains. If only they had faced raw facts and reality instead of embracing the deceptive comfort of emotions on this matter ![]() Jonjam269: |
