I'm in the same situation. I don't want to get fat, I just want to put on a few kgs. A lot of things may be preventing you from gaining weight such as a fast metabolism, genetics, etc. I've been trying to get some info about this. Here's what I've come up with so far. It seems to be working.

Never go on an empty tummy. Eat every 2 or 3 hours
Eat lots of peanuts and nuts in general
Talk to your doctor about your metabolism rate. You may need a drug to slow it down
Avoid excercise (walking, take elevators instead)

Since I'm spending cash to make my feet look good, I expect them to get some attention.

Raising money for Obama. What a joke. Although she claims the fundraising dinner was to sensitize Nigerians living overseas and encourage them to vote for Obama. See how Nigerians they mumu themselves for Obama.

It's no big deal, since he doesn't taste or produce alchohol.

I always listen to my parents, esp my mom. But if she told me not to marry a man I love because of where he's from. I'll listen to her, take what she's saying into consideration and observe this man very well. If I notice anything my mom has said to me about him (his behaviour, habits, morals, etc), I'll probably call of the wedding because I won't be too sure anymore. Better to have a broken engagement than a broken marriage!

I agree. Using me as a case study, I never really appreciated Naija until I left. I'm going to complete my studies, get a job, make my dough, and come back home and do something reasonable with my money, like starting up a business to employ Nigerians, that kinda thing. Cos, I know, for me, home is where my heart is.
