Try turmeric, garlic and ginger combo. Soak it in water for at least 3days. Then drink it from the beginning of your cycle(1cup in the morning and 1at night for at least 5days) and stop when you are almost in your fertile period. Infection also dealt with me to. When I took it I had a lot of yellowish discharge and I browsed about it. It's was the infection coming out. I got a BFP after doing this. Try it it might work for you.

So I finally decided to do follicular tracking and I was asked to come today by the sonographer being the 10th day of my cycle. I was told that the scan will go through my vagina and I agreed. DH accompanied me to the lab. When I got there I was asked to lay down and take my trouser off to begin the process. Then the sonographer brought his object to do the insertion. The guy tried but he couldn't because I was groaning in pains, and he was confused o and asked DH to assist him but it was the same result. The guy was tired and asked what my problem was and I told him it was painful o, I just couldn't deal. After much trying and thought he decided to take an alternative. He placed it on my lower abdomen below my tummy and did the scan. I've been thinking and worried since I got home. Biko what do you people feel is wrong with me. I can bet you it's not a psychological issue, it's physical, it was painful for real. The problem now is that I can't even discuss it with anybody cause it's embarrassing.

House please help a desperate sister. I have been trying to conceive on clomid, Each time I get pregnant but miscarry in my ist trimester. I am currently on my 4th round of clomid with hcg injections. And I am scared to bits. Am I doing something wrong? Anybody has any success stories with clomid?

tell the doc monitoring you to check ur progesterone levels, as soon as bfp occurs, it has a trend by which it rises, you should be given progesterone suppositories/tabs if its not folowing the trend.

2ndly have an uterine scan, to rule out growth of polyps and or fibroids, and also to ascertain the competency of the uterus/cervix.

3rdly defects in the sperm or egg could trigger miscarriage if the body detects an abnormal foetus

in the developed world, the samples from the miscarried foetus wud analysed to isolate the root cause.

lastly rhesus factor?

yeah, best to get your self some education on ttc, so you can interact/discuss/challenge the docs beta.leaving everything to the docs usually doesnt fare well for the patient.

To God be ALL the glory, I got my BFP and a scan confirmed pregnancy at Olivebranch Lekki this week! grin This is coming after over 19 years of TTC that included several years of natural health therapies, countless IUI s, Clomid & TI cycles and 9 embryo transfers. This clinic has indeed become my last TTC ‘bus stop’ as I had prayed and hoped.

My sisters-in-waiting, it was God’s mercy at work. What I think also helped me was:

*RESEARCH, research & more research! Pls. don’t put yourself 100% in ANY doctor’s hands without researching your options & being able to request whatever will benefit you.
*Doing a vagisteam before starting meds. Combined dried herbs like basil, motherwort, rosemary & mugwort (obtained from Alade market Ikeja)
*Insisting on the cancellation of the penultimate scheduled embryo transfer when my lining refused to grow beyond 7mm (many other Drs.' would have railroaded and gone ahead anyway, just hoping to get 'lucky' as they sometimes do for even much thinner linings.) In this successful cycle my lining was 9.4mm before intro of progesterone & 11.1mm on day of Embryo Transfer.
*Doing needle acupuncture EVERYDAY in the 12 days before the embryo transfer (was able to fit in a session on the very morning as the transfer was done in the afternoon) using acu-points that aid blood flow to uterus.(located my Lagos acupuncture clinic thru online research)
*Using Viagra cream - not tablets, vaginally (sourced from a Canadian Dr. in Malaysia and Bricanyl tablets (from Alpha) for about 11 days - also to increase blood flow. ; in fact Dr. Emeka agreed to delay down regulation, giving me 2nd shot of Zoladex after expiration of 1st one, in order for me to receive the Viagra parcel (research also shows though more expensive, Zoladex gives higher success rates than daily Buserelin injections)
*Castor oil pack on tummy almost daily for about two weeks
*Daily sitz baths (alternating sitting in hot & cold water), sometimes twice daily, stopping 2 days before the transfer – also to increase blood flow.
*Sometimes soaking feet in hot water for 20 minutes, before bed (also to increase blood flow to uterus)
*Day 21 Endometrial Scratch (had also done one before at another clinic the previous year)
*Femoral massage: got hubby to press artery for me at least once daily & at the clinic just before the transfer
*Having intralipid drip at the clinic one week before the transfer - with the general absence of availability of immune tests in this country, it’s a good safeguard whether or not your body actually needs it.
*Daily eating 5 Brazil nuts (ASDA uk) before transfer & throughout 2 week wait. Was able to get pineapple only on 4th day after transfer so ate its core only on Days 4 & 5..
*Doing a deep tissue body massage 2 days before the transfer (got a bargain package – there are several, on dealdey site)
*Insisting on Day 5 transfer: after so many past failures and disappointments, I had made up my mind after research that even if all our embryos appeared to be struggling, no Day 2 or 3 transfer; if they all died before Day 5, so be it. Luckily we had 90% ICSI fertilisation and all made it to blast.
*After the transfer, taking DAILY injections (with Dr’s permission) of 100mg Gestone in addition to clinic’s 2x 400mg cyclogest; quite painful & bum already feels like a pin cushion but for me no sacrifice is too much. Clinics here do not do regular hormone checks for levels after the transfer so it makes me feel safer. I’m also prepared to endure the daily injections for as long as necessary!
*Just before the transfer, requested & got a picture of our embryos which I used as a point of contact in prayer.

What I’ve learnt (the hard way) on my long, long TTC journey:
No doctor, spouse, family or friend, can desire my success more than my own self: I am my own best advocate! My sisters, despite glowing recommendations of any fertility clinic/Dr, do your own research. Never be afraid to ask questions and always try to go with your gut feelings; run/’talk to your feet’ if you have integrity concerns about any of them; I have also learned that though often tedious and inconvenient, it pays to try to prepare as much as one humanly can (castor oil, massage, foot soak, etc), before the embryo transfer and above all, to always pray for God’s mercy & intervention.

Hi mamas, I have issues with my follicles they don't reach 18mm always btw 12-16mm. I have been on clomid for 6 cycles, I also had 150mg clomid with Hmg injection for 5 days then I had about 3 follicles with the dominant one measuring 16mm on CD12, although I wasn't given a trigger shot by my doctor. Mamas am tired of taking ve been on this wahala for 2yrs+ had to tell my Dr to allow me stop drugs for now. I have done HSG, HVS and hormonal assay. The HSG came out OK with both tubes patent, the HVS came out with E.coli btw 2-4 and in d assay progesterone level was around 12.2 (1.7 - 27.0). first things first, taking clomid for 6 cycles non stop is wrong, it would cause you more harm than good. STOP IT!!!, if u must try clomid, best do it 3 cycles max..if no success, stop, explore other options, bitterleaf therapy dey, letrozole dey, ruzu bitter dey, bee pollen+royal jelly -forever living dey etc. your egg size appears small, and such sizes hv lower chances of conception, try any of the options i listed above

1. the tubes are open all tru, but blocked at the end, this blockage is due to adhesions, i suggest serrapeptase and castor oil massage. adhesions sometimes occur from previous surgeries - appendicitis etc
2. you are about ovulating/ovulated as a big follicle is sighted
3. your uterine thickness is 10mm+ , wch is ok
4. mild fluid collection in POD, either from ongoing ovulation or possible infection

your major obstacle to conception is the adhesions, treat it and your chances of conception will increase greatly

9 days after menses is sooooo wrong,..is it ur gynae that asked u to go for the test,..contact him and let him confirm the day you shud go [am certain he will tell u cd 2/cd3]....and armed with that info..simply go to lab nad hv ur test done. 1wk after ovu..u go back again for the progesterone test

banana and pineapple contain plenty sugar . If you are avoiding sugar then pls stay clear of these fruits or you are on Metformin taking these fruits is like giving your body more work to do in removing sugar. Infact for sudden energy boost tennis players take bananas. alternatively bananas can be replaced with unripe plantain because of the zinc & iron it contains.

Vegetables should occupy the space for the food you cut off. fruits like pineapple banana is a no no . Rather garden egg , cucumber , walnut carrots will suffice. unripe plaintain is great as it is a rich source of iron . two slices of yam will do for breakfast . potatoe boiled is great .
Chicken meat shouldn't be excessive fish is great .no offals , this includes shaki liver , round about , etc
run from soda , frizzy drinks pastries etc . water cannot be over - emphasized .

Pls, I need your candid advise on d issue bothering me now. Hubby ran a culture and sfa test around May ending and was diagnosed of scanty growth of staph, low sperm count and low motility. The morphology was 70% then. We ignored treating it wt othordox medicine cos we've done dat severally wt cipro and others but still not cured. We tried herbal for some days and I bought oligocare, addyzoa, zinc, vit c, b complex and folic acid for him. He was on those medications until d middle of last month that one woman started treating us herbally. As of now, we don't even know if d drugs helped or not as we're yet to receive good news. I'm just confused on what to do now though we're still on d herbal medicine. Should we just quit d herbal medicine and treat d infection wt d drugs written on sensitivity as at last three months? Is it too late to use d result as it has gotten up to three months? Or should we run another test to know if there s any improvement or not?
Mamas, pls ur advise will go a long way.

too late to rely on the last result, best to do another sfa+mcs..not that expensive 2k to 4k, that would even tell you if the herbal worked or not. from the sfa result, you now treat using english medicine, if infection still there, i wud suggest you also undergo hvs/urine culture..so both of you could be treated same time..abstain from sex during treatment, or use condom if you no fit hol body

I went to Lab for follicular tracking as I intended but the Lab Scientist advised me that it's better to do hormonal profile to check my hormones before deciding to track my follicles. He said that some people do jump into tracking without knowing the state of their hormones and if done, sometimes the egg may not be seen and d person has already spent money for d tracking. U can only know ur ovarian reserve through d hormonal profile. He advised dat if the hormones are checked and found in order, then I can now track my follicles. He said if I still intend to do d tracking, he can do it for me but it's better he explains everything in details 4 me. He said he charges 2k for each tracking. The hormonal profile cost 10k for two times ie during d menstrual period and after ovulation and Hsg costs 13k. He said if am to check my hormones, I should come on CD18 and CD2 as am having a 25days cycles(though i use to calculate it as 26days oo not knowing i've been miscalculating it since). The man asked me whether i would make payment today or come on d said CD18 wt d money, I told him am not with such amount. As we finished d discussion, I jejely carry my humble sef out of d place. I don really waka tire because of TTC. See me wey don budget 2k for d tracking na him I come dey hear 10k . Hmmmmm! Where u see d money. E no easy ooo! Just getting tired of everything sef

the prices are fair, thats about the cheapest i have even seen.the labman made some points, but its not 100% u folo his advice, n u get to spend 4k or 6k in tracking, 2 or 3 times, since ur cycle is 25days, u would be ovulating around cd 11/cd 12.....so u can start tracking on cd 8, from the size of the follicles, u can now decide when to go for the next tracking.
btw what do u want to achieve by tracking?, you intend to trigger?, or u just want to know if you ovulate?

yes, everything has side effects and potential of going awry. ohss [pls google if you dont know] can occur, ehhen i forgot, if you are pretty slim or below 70kg, you can try triggering with 5000 units of the hcg trigger and not 10,000units to avoid ohss.

the trigger causes the follicle to reipen with 48hrs..ie for ovulation to occur, so i wud suggest u bd like mad the next 72hrs.
bd once day on injection, bd 2x --- am&pm the 2nd day, bd once or twice the 3rd day...then go back to ur normal bd routine

you can buy the hcg injection and get a nurse to inect you..thats the trigger, pregnyl or ovidrel costs btw 2k to 5k per vial, most docs recommend 10,000units, ie 2 vials as they usually come in vials of 5000 units.

no doc/hospital will agree to trigger u, if he hasnt been monitoring or treating you.
you must do follicular tracking or tvs should you wish to diy trigeer, and the follicle must be minimum of 18mm b4 the injection is administered

dont know abt zoladex, if its a worm expeller, you can start on cd-1, castor oil massage is done as soon as ur period ends...n stop 1 day before ovulation, if you are ttc that cycle, its recommended, you massage am and pm if possible for 3 days, rest for 1 or 2days..then another 3 days of massage etc, while some do once a day etc
