Anonymous29: only a tvs b4 and after can conclusively tell you, cos some follicles grow to 20mm and above..and fail to rupture..thus transforming into an ovarian cyst, so if the person didnt do an after tvs, she may think she ovulated 3 Likes |

Eclement: something isnt adding up, ttc and postinor no dey waka the same road for whatsoever reason that aside, its either the postinor is causing the false positive, or another not so good option is an ectopic pregnancy - wch i hope isnt the case. run this ectopic preg thing by your doc, when next you go..meanwhile let the woman be aware of her body and observe for dull/sharp pain on the shoulder blades, thats 1 of the symptoms of ectopic. 5 Likes |

Eclement: HOW LONG IS HER CYCLE, AND what day did you do the first test? the female body doesnt know its pregnant till 3 to 5 days after implantation, implantation also happenes 3 to 5 days after ovulation. i think i read somewhere that ovulation hcg spike is similar to pregancy spike, and an ovulating woman will test positive to a preg test strip... have you done a urine test again? the doc should do preg blood count test, cant remember what its called, but its supposed to double evry couple of days for a pregnant woman 1 Like |

Ejusni: i would suggest you do an sfa, the result of the sfa would indicate if your semen is poor/being affected by the variocle. sfa is very cheap and easy. sfa = seminal fluid analysis, it just occured to me you may not know .,,,as a newbie cost btw 3k and 10k, ensure you do sfa+mcs..ie culture to check for infection in the semen |

MGeey: in addition, i suggest you start taking royal jelly, ubiquinol and omega 3, these work to improve egg quality. would recommend you add ovaboost to the 3 supplements i listed above and observe for 2 to 3months..b4 thinking of clomid |

Mummytwins42: why did the doc prescribe antibiotics for u?..do u hv an underlying infection, if yes, best not to go for hsg when u hv infection as the procedure will push the infection further inside ur reproductive system, btw the doc should know that .. for libido increase, low libido is usually a sympton of hormonal inbalance all things being equal, take dates/coconut/tiger nut combo, eats lots of cucmber and water melon, also add vitex and maca to your regimen 3 Likes |

Twinee08: hmmm, if they did that and didnt see any follicle at all on cd 10, its a lil strange, cos even if you ovulate on cd 20, small follicles shud be present, anyway try again in 4 to 6 days later n see, meanwhile i recommend you stock up on egg stimulating supplements, like ovaboost, ubiquinol, royal jelly, etc |
Health / Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by shithapuns: 1:10am On Feb 16, 2019 |
Twinee08: do a proper follicular tracking, they will wear condom on the tool and insert in ur vjay, it sees better than surface pelvic scan. since ur cycle length is 29, u ca start from cd 10 or cd 12 |

Mercyjosh: the cyclogest , once u start it, should be continued till 3months/end of first trimester...thats when the placenta kicks in and starts nturally producing adequate amounts of progesterone. a cheaper alternative, though less reliable is baby aspirin 81mg, its best used b4 u start spotting, if you are spotting already, cyclogest remains the best bet, act fast! 3 Likes 2 Shares |

DoubleJ19: really strange, day 2 transfer isnt common at all.this is because, they try to replicate the natural process, as it takes the fertilized egg 3 to 5 days to travel from the fallopian tubes to the uterus to implant. i wish you cared to ask them the reason for that. could hv been an experimental procedure, or the gynae doing the transfer wanted to travel, they had a problem with their hatchery/incubator, or the embryologist etc....we will never know. though promo or not, no ivf center operates on purpose to give patients bfn, cos the more bfps they have, the more people will rush to their place |

DoubleJ19: wow, day 2 transfer?...its either day 3 or day 5, did they tell you why they opted for day 2 transfer? best approach for naija hospitals is to discuss everything upfront, like do you do day 3 or day 5 transfer?. i would like to have copies of all my results - do you the hospital have a policy against that etc??, our last ivf, the y had to ask me at a stage if i had a medical background yeah, most naija ivf centers dont really know how to handle bfn, guess its part of the harsh african culture, i suppose. wow, heard really good things about them from someother person, pls mamas that have more info about them shud chook mouth |

taurus2604: insist on collecting every result from your doc. what i do to avoid long stories is to tell them beforehand. during discussions b4 i pay, that i want to collect copies of all my results, most of them dont have a problem with this approach, n you can also be inventive and use your phone to scan such docs, cos they may not have a photocopier to make copies for you |
