EducationRe: Built On The Bodies Of Slaves: How Africa Was Erased from Modern World History by Shokoloko(f): 10:10pm On Oct 13, 2021
A001:
You're right, except where you exonerated religion as being one of the major problems.

It's: the foreign religions are. Those other countries you mentioned that had great development despite being religious, stuck to their native religions and gods.

Thus, they can preserve their cultural values, which are their identity and their soul (core) as a people or nation.

Anyone well-versed in the history of the Abrahamic religions know their adherents worship and revere the ancestors of Israel or some European countries and Arabs — Jehovah and Allah respectively — who were deified as gods.

The whites and Arabs in their wisdom never forgot their ancestors, roots, and cultures. But Africa despise theirs and place great value on the imported gods and their cultures.

Such a people that have forgotten their roots can't grow and develop. No be curse.

If one can't worship the native gods, the ideal thing is to cherish one's culture and have deep respect for the native gods, just like scientists have deep respect for early scientists, philosophers and thinkers like Galileo and Einstein.

The average Nigerian, who is ignorant of history, has simply failed to develop the critical thinking skills required to break free from the shackles of the foreign, imported religions of the colonizers, slavemasters, and conquerors.

Corruption, greed, selfishness, poverty are the hallmarks of mentally enslaved people with their poor and shallow mentality. No thanks to religion and the fictitious Jesus.
Religion of any sort only exaggerates the true character of a person. Africans were worshipping native gods when they were selling off their brethren en-masse.
Before the white man arrived Africans under their early ancient religion began selling themselves to the Arabs in 832 AD. Are we also going to blame the white men and Christianity for slave trade that begun before the first century.

I state again religion has nothing to do with the inherent greed of the black man. Drop N10,000 as if by mistake on any Nigerian road: both atheist, christian, muslim worshipper will make a dive for the money.

Those using humans for ritual sacrifice, Its neither the God of Christians or Moslems that is being sacrificed to.

Africa has a culture of greed

Religion has nothing to do with how forward or backward a race are
EducationRe: Built On The Bodies Of Slaves: How Africa Was Erased from Modern World History by Shokoloko(f):
Good read

Africa began well, however something happened and greed stepped in.

I put it too you that the bane of Africa is not religion but greed.

We are not more religious than the Italians, the Middle Easterns, Asians, South Americans. But see what they have done in countries like Italy, UAE, Kuwait, India, Japan, Brazil, Argentina

We must also remember that slavery consisted more of trade than kidnap (more slaves were sold by their kin than were kidnapped by the white man) Who even showed the white map the territory to kidnap since there was no GPS then

What ailed Africa centuries ago (that drove them to sell men for alcohol and mirrors) still ails them today. Africa has not ended sale of its citizens. We are a greedy lot. And that is why instead of developing Africa we prefer to "pandorally" move the wealth of Africa to any place that is not Africa

I partially agree with your description, however innocent civilians do not pose a threat to the sovereignty of a country. Even criminals do not pose a threat.
Threat is mostly foreign invaders, a few times home grown terrorists but innocent civilians and even guilty convicts do not pose a threat to our country's sovereignty

What a terrible ordeal. The police did a similar thing to my sister in Port-Harcourt. They came to a row of shops and picked everyone in their shops. Took them to an uncompleted building instead of a police station and found those that had ATM cards with them.
Made the rest transfer different amounts of money to the ones that had cards and took them to the ATM for withdrawal before they were released.

I'm kinda ashamed to type this here but the kain laugh wey my Indian housemates use me laugh today warrants say make I ask for help. Whenever I cook beans or make vegetables in the shared kitchen, it smells so awful embarassed though this doesn't affect the taste. I'm a good Nigerian cook tongue. Even me perceive the shitty smell. The whole kitchen plus corridors had the stink. There was a day I prepared Afang and went for midnight shift. The next morning, the shitty stink was still in the air. Now, shame don dey catch me on top my food. I've been thinking, maybe I should just adapt and start making sandwiches, etc. Funny thing is that my Indian housemates food also smell but the smell is that of a heavily spiced 'indian' food and is 'kinda' not bad laidat. This evening, I had to spray the kitchen with air freshener, even at that, the smell is still there.

Help!!! What should I do to eradicate this smell. Note, the kitchen has vent and air conditioning.
Order from bed, bath and beyond: Amco houseworks odor absorbing folding splatter screen. The activated carbon filter absorbs odors while cooking. (I don't think this will work for cooking with "Iru". Iru might destroy the splatter. But I have tried it with crayfish and stockfish)

Also order from bed, bath and beyond; Smells begone. Pulls odors into the gel. Keep on kitchen counter
Thank me later

If insults could work the president would have died a long time ago - that is proof that insults/ curses do not work.

I wish young people in Nigeria can learn to show disagreements without insults.

Lets stick to facts. At least both of us, you and I will agree that the South East needs to step up their game agriculturally

You and I will also agree that peaceful sit-at-home twice a month and ban on consumption of non-local breed of cows is better than this crazy violence in that part of Nigeria. I do not like this UGM thing: any other method that does not shed blood is better

Meaning of fugitive: a person who has escaped from a place or is in hiding, especially to avoid arrest or persecution. That does not fit the description of MNK as he remains in DSS custody

No, as much I as I am not in support of MNK's method of achieving Biafra ( I think he moved too fast) from all indications he hasnt given up. He has NOT yet called for negotiations with a promise to give up the Biafran dream.
Since he has not given up and he has not let go he doesnt fit into the description of a failure. He may have made mistakes but he lacks the two top descriptions of a failure.

You will agree with me that the South East needs to step up in agriculture and reduce dependency on other states for food. It will help grown their economy

Failures are people who give up and let go. At this point they are becoming awakened and have decided for a call to action to breed Igbo cows.
That mindset certainly isn't the character of people who are failures.
Yes they made made mistakes but this is not the mindset of a failure

* We cannot participate in elections.
Don't be surprised if tomorrow they ban us from buying fuel (I am not even joking).

IPOB is working for globalist depopulation agenda for our region. Please start prepping dig wells and secure water sources and secure your food. All regions of Nigeria will be affected so start getting ready to return to your villages.

On the contrary, a lot of mothers are actually the breadwinners. Women are not taught to voice out when they own property.
Long ago, I had a colleague who was shyly accepting congratulations for the car her husband bought, until the car dealer came to the bank to cash the last balance of her cheque and it bounced.

AdesewaAde:
I had a sleepless night,I’ve been trying so much not to see a big deal in what happened between my boyfriend and I last night but the more I tried my best on it the more my mind continue telling me it’s a red flag.

The relationship is just five months and we’ve been good since then,he lives in another state, though just an hour drive to my place,we don’t see frequently but that isn’t a problem cause we are both always busy with business. He’s caring, jovial and also someone who will always tell me “look babe, this is the problem between us ,and can we iron it out instead of you giving me cold attitude?” ,he’s a very understanding guy,he do assist me financially ,not that I am a liability, but helps me with my business and I do help him also,in fact I love lending him money cause he will always pay me back in triple folds.

Three days ago,he told me he will be attending a wedding engagement that very day,it was very unusual of him ,cause he do tell me about all his movements but this particular one sounded impromptu,he apologised and said all his friends were around and he dont want to disappoint them. We talked on video call and I sensed everything was good. Few minutes to 9pm ,I messaged him and he told me they were still in town (at a bar) drinking and that he won’t be going home anytime soon that I should go to bed and sleep. He snapped a picture of what they were drinking and sent me,I saw one bottle of malt with straw and immediately I sensed a woman was with them. Initially,he told me it was just four of them on the table, all boys,I put it straight to him that a woman was with him ,he said no and I told him who drank malt amoung them,it was then he said a girlfriend to one of his friends,I smiled and sent him goodnight.
He replied the message with “do you think I am cheating?” I replied “who am I to know what exactly you are doing outside by this time? Good night boo”” I switched off my phone and slept off. Note-this is the first time I will ever think of it that he is having another affair.

Yesterday was Saturday and he told me he will be attending the church wedding and reception,we talked on video call again and he was updating me about his movements from church to reception and from reception to bar again with his friends. He said he will be staying late again that I may go to bed if I want to sleep, I told him “ humm, shaa maa rora” it means “humm ,just be careful” immediately he replied with
“do you think I have a woman here today again?
If Naa when I still dey bear my name (his name) you met me,walahi you go don shout tire.
I go don Bleep one of your friends self “
I was very shocked but I managed to type really, and he replied with “yes, you for don collect and I no go leave you self, but I am calm now,so put your mind at rest and don’t think I am cheating “
I was very heartbroken, though he sounded like he was actually playing,I’ve been trying to erase my mind off it and see it as a joke but at the same time my mind has be telling me it was a clear red flag since a cheat will always remain one

Experience guys, what do you think about this situation?
He doesn't sound like he is cheating. I don't believe he is.
He sounds like he is testing your tolerance for cheating (just in case) so he can gauge the consequences. Seems when he was the cheating type he was used to ladies that "shout tire" so perhaps he is trying to draw out a reaction beyond "hmm, just be careful"

Have you been having this feeling of unease before now or it just began?

The North-Central, North-East and the South-West will get the highest allocation.

In the 2022 appropriation budget analysed by Sunday PUNCH, it was stated that N400,000,000 would be used for the “renovation/equipping of identified strategic focal LGAs PHCs towards achieving PHC revitalisation in North-Central geo-political zone.

Before I begin let me point this outfit. I am a mess, I can be a mess. I am very non challant about everything in this life, I hardly take anything serious, even me myself I don’t take me serious. Maybe that’s why I do t know how to wear makeup.
I am in to fashion, I sell clothes, so I go to the market most of the time almost daily to shop for prints. As soon as I am in the market, I forget everything my mind is fully in my hustle that I might not even hear my phone ring ( does this happen to anyone else) during this period if oga calls and I am don’t pick his call. Wahala big one. All means to explain to him that I get engrossed sometimes in shopping has proved abortive
So I sought for a solution and got a second phone that probably rings louder hoping this will help my people still nothing oo sometimes I might not even know the phone ringing is mine
Each time I pick up the phone and see all his missed calls i immediately hate myself. Cause he has always warned that I stay reacheable severally I have even lost count and warned that the next time it happens it’s over
In as much as I’m carefree, I care about this man a lot and I hate seeing him mad so I find myself treading with caution Checking my phones at intervals or sometimes even holding it so u would know if it rings.
But somehow he just thinks I am intentionally doing it, he finds it unbelievable that someone will have a phone and not pick calls. Many times than more the iPhone will just move to silence on its own or either by mistake
Now this has caused distance between us. This isn’t something I can fight cause it isn’t intentional but hubby has concluded it is.
Is there anyone that is this carefree with their phones how does your partner handle it, do they hate you for this reason or your guys just walk through it like it’s a norm
Ty this solution.
Think about the best time you can be reached. Let him know that staying reachable and chasing money hardly go hand in hand. Choose two particular hours that you will be reachable, perhaps 10-11am and 2-3pm.

Put a reminder or alarm on your phone. Once it gets to that time call him or hold the phone in your hand and find a quiet spot or text him.

You are not carefree. Your personality is the type that loves routine and not spontaneity. If you have a time set out for your husband's calls you will not have this issue anymore

Good day Nairalanders!!

Please I need your advice.

To be frank and sincere, she is just greatly above average in attractiveness but she's not stable in her look, she falls far below average occasionally. Also we're both dark in complexion and I will prefer my children to be lighter than I am, if not fair.

Your genuine, mature and constructive advice is highly needed.

I will appreciate ones from those who have experienced what I'm currently going through.
If at this early stage your partner already sometimes looks unattractive to you, cheating is loading.

The heart wants what it wants. If up till now a part of you is still pining for a certain type of lady, there will be a lot of regrets

Some people say love is a choice but why don't we make it easier for ourselves by marrying what we like. The eyes must be satisfied and already before marriage dissatisfaction is cropping up. I may not give this advice to a lady but because MEN ARE VISUAL....

Feelings are usually magnified after marriage. If this lady doesn't make you feel like jumping her everytime you see her then.....

Your intuitión is telling you to back down. Listen to it!

NB I didnt say let her go. Don't make any hasty decision. People will advice based on experience and personality. You might not have the same personality with the advisor.

Some people can train their brains to settle for what they wouldn't have naturally accepted while some brains will not accept to settle.

But if we keep fighting the North, the North will keep giving SW and SS crumbs from our own share, which they would all happily accept and call us fools, sing one NIGERIA and see no reason to stop the North.

So what do we do?
We crash the game.

We beat them at their own game.
We help the North become eternal masters of NIGERIA.
We let them take everything that belongs to everyone, we stop fighting them so that they stop rewarding those two zones.
We stop fighting the North and the SS and SW will nolonger have something to blackmail the North with to offer them crumbs.
You see how Ghana must go was shared to Clark and co when you IPOB became too vocal with your Biafra stuff? Yes! That's the game. The more you fight the North, the more those people are important to the North, so they win little and you lose alot. It's a pattern that has been on repeat since 1970. Zik understood the game better, hence the success of the 1970s we enjoyed politically.

We let the North have everything.

Let all man feel the heat.
Let all man queue up in turns to serve as the VP for the North for the next 100 years. grin
Any one from the South who dare challenge the North, we let them burn alone. cool

If the North come up with squashing 13% in the future as Crude oil become less money spinning, we play neutral and let those involved carry their own albatross. If they rebel and the North send soldiers there, we stay neutral and let them handle them.
They(SS and SW) have alot to lose fighting the North, most of which they gained because we fought the North in 1967-70. But we have nothing to lose staying Neutral and everything to gain letting them get themselves burnt fighting the North, while we take back all they took from us by offering the North a buffer.

We should really sit back and let things flow in Nigeria. We have done enough.
This freedom must not come in our lifetime, Catalonia started fighting for freedom before us, and they are still fighting as we speak, but not with guns.
It's not an Ozugbo ozugbo things.
That's the mistake you IPOB are making.
