Why is it that anytime someone advices you to make money, you get angry. Money will not come like that o. I did not always have money o. I have been broke some times, but you need to keep your heart and spirit clear of negative emotions so that good things can locate you.

Do not despise well meaning advice. Remove anger and despair from your heart. I've gone through some of your posts and I see anger. I understand the situation of the country can make someone angry, but you must fight that anger and bitterness. Negative energy will never put money in your pocket.

From your response you don't even believe that you can make that money. If you can go on Facebook and look for STRIVE MASIYIWA and MARKSMAN CHINEDU IJIOMA, Follow them. A few months of following them will change your mindset and spark a fire in you for greatness. I also follow them.

Believe in yourself.

Your kids start using laptop from pregnancy..bla bla bla. Yet you wept when he poured water on the laptop.
I wept because it was new. And some personalities like mine weep when they are upset. When a thief came to my office in the bank and stole my phone, I wept like a child. I did not weep because of the phone but because of my families phots in the phone that I would never get back.
So yes, there are people like me who release emotions by crying like me and I am totally sure that your mum does the same. She is afterall a woman, like me.

Son, make money please. There are some arguments you shouldn't engage in. Just strive and make money. Tell yourself that laptop will never be an expensive purchase for you. You can do it and remember there is nothing that is impossible to man. May God help you in your life endeavours.

Dumb.

If you have achieved all of the above, you would be wiser than to purchase laptop for a 4 year old.

If you have achieved all the above, but still purchased a laptop for a 4 year old to watch movies, then you have learned nothing through life.
A laptop is for serious business! It is not a toy! You should be ashamed of yourself!

What's the use of backlog of achievement when you still behave like a child from sick background?!

Except you pick money on the ground, you should know a laptop is too serious a machine to be used for watching movies. The fact that you don't know this puts a big question mark on your ability at parenting.
Actually for people that have the money, laptop is not a serious business. My kids started using kindles from age 2, Even the schools here share chrome books for kids to go home with on holidays with. Please put your head down and make money and you will discover that a lot of things people take as serious purchases are not really that expensive.

Chill, its not a big deal. A laptop is not up to 1/15 of annual vacation to an African country for a family of four, not to talk of when the family wants to take that vacation outside Africa.

You are such an irresponsible mother to buy a laptop for a 4 year old and leave him alone with it. Thus is one of the problems of leaving a child with a single mother. She will almost always misbehave and mislead the poor child.
I was going to go into a long epiphany, then I went through your previous posts and discovered that you are still a young child.
Come back and lets discuss AFTER you have had at least one degree and a masters, celebrated 15 years of marriage, had a stable career for at least 15 years and sponsored children in college, have built your own house and one quarter of your hair is grey.
Until then, go back and learn wisdom and communication skills from your mother. I cannot call my fellow woman "irresponsible" but then it seems like she forgot to teach you how to address your elders.

Its obvious that you are childless at the moment (Never mind, God will bless you with yours) if not you would know that it takes less than 30seconds for a child to pick up a glass of water and pour it.

This reminds me of what my son did to me when he was 4 years old. I bought him a laptop to watch kids shows. Guy man carried a glass of cold water and emptied it on the key board.

I wept as if tomorrow would never come. Thank God for his aunties. If it was me alone, he wouldn't be getting another laptop.

God bless you my darling child. I am waiting to help my grandkid pour water on your laptop grin

I am quite knowledgeable about Julian Assange.
The US government never denied what he had already exposed. Their goal was to make him not expose more but no, they accepted he was right.
This is very different from the Nigerian government who keep on denying even in the face of a mountain of evidence.

NEW YORK, Nov 5 (Reuters) - JPMorgan Chase & Co said on Tuesday that it hired a team of four bankers to lead a new team in its commercial bank that connects venture capital investors with fast-growing start-ups in technology, life sciences and other fields.

The key word is connect.
CONNECT not OPERATE

During my time in the bank I actually met people with great business ideas.
I knew that the bank would not loan money for a plan so I connected them with people who could partner with them and "hands offed" the project.

Have you ever heard of venture capitals firms set up across the globe, which are another form banking and financial credit source. Their major focus for credit provision are technological start ups.
Venture capital is not another form of banking. A venture capital (VC) fund is a sum of money investors commit for investment in early-stage companies. The investors who supply the fund with money are designated as limited partners.

Nobody ever starts any business with a bank loan. You start with your own little contribution, and thereafter to boost it, you seek for bank credit. But as long as you are still managing your business with your little fund, you are a start up.
OP's case is different. OP has not started a business. He went to the bank with an idea and no tangible assets. That is the crux of the matter

So in your own view it is those little funds they contributed to their inspiration that make them the big technology giants they are today.

Why don't you dig deeper and reel out their debt profiles with banks before they become the cash cows they now are.

There are always a beginning for any business, and in a sane climate, banks are always willing to help any customer with a good business plan.
you are not getting it. You have to succeed on a small scale before the banks come in.
No bank in any climate will fund an IDEA. They have policies, they cannot.
And that is where investors come in.

Even if I dig deeper you will find out that the banks only came in after the business had started making a little profit

This a very myopic opinion.
If the foreign banks have been doing this to their customers, do you think we would have seen the likes of Apple, Microsoft, Google, Amazon on the world stage. This set of companies were also start ups at their initial stage who benefitted from their banks assistance, at which the banks are also benefitting immensely from their patronage.

Nigerian banks are generally risk averse, that is why they will continue to remain local champions, ripping off innocent customers with illegal charges.
I have pulled out how the four entities you quoted started. Please take some time to read it as none were started with bank loans.
Thanks

In 1975, the 20-year-old Jobs and Wozniak set up shop in Jobs' parents' garage, dubbed the venture Apple, and began working on the prototype of the Apple I. To generate the $1,350 in capital they used to start Apple, Steve Jobs sold his Volkswagen microbus, and Steve Wozniak sold his Hewlett-Packard calculator

Did Bill Gates borrow money to start Microsoft?
Gates reportedly called MITS (the maker of the Altair 8800) from his dorm room and offered to create software for it. MITS readily accepted and both Gates and Allen set to work. By 1975, the pair sold the software (as the programming language "BASIC"wink to MITS for $3,000 plus royalties

Where did Larry Page get money for Google?
In order to further their search engine, Page and Brin raised about $1 million in outside financing from investors, family, and friends. They called their expanded search engine Google—a name derived from a misspelling of the word googol (a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros).

Did Jeff Bezos start with a loan?
Amazon.com: Founder Jeff Bezos got a $100,000 investment from his parents to start the famous online store.

Even foreign banks will want to see some small scale success.

You can see that the four entities you quoted were not funded with bank loans

#Storytime.
I Once went to the bank to pitch one of my products (a lean startup under Pantakers) to one of the popular Banks in Abuja, after talking about the partnership type and showing my prototypes and idea, carelessly the lady just looked straight at me and said.

"No1 I don't understand what you are talking about.

No2 you can have access to any facility either in loan or fund from the bank".

This statement almost killed me immediately, mhen entrepreneurs in Africa especially Nigeria are suffering oo, with tears in my eyes .
I left there knowing that God that gave me the idea will water it and those banks will one day come and beg to invest in my idea.
Because banks do not have any money of their own. They hold other people's money so you can only access a loan after you have succeeded in the business on a small scale.
I personally do not consent that the bank use my money to fund start ups or ideas.
In fact there is no bank shareholder that will consent to that

Hey guys, new forum user here. I’ve been researching on countries I can move to out of Nigeria that would be easy and straightforward (no risky things).

I’ve a remote job with a company registered in Canada and my girlfriend is a freelancer. We’re both planning to move together. But Canada is expensive and it looks really complicated and hard to get in. Even with the advantage that there company I work with is registered there.

I’m open to options, I really don’t know what country would be good. Although I’m not considering African countries, I’d be happy to hear suggestions.

A couple of things:

We both have jobs, although my girlfriend is still freelancing but we’re able to cater for ourselves and except if it’s golden visas or the most expensive places in US, France, England, China etc for example then we can do really well and fend for ourselves and also get a good apartment.

Also because of our work ties, we can’t go through school and we are also not planning to do any physical work since we have remote jobs.

That’s the hard part, I’d really appreciate any help we can get.
Migration to Canada is not very complex. Look for the thread on nairaland for express entry. Take the next 6 months and read up. It is not complex at all.
It is not expensive but you do not have to pay in bulk. You can pay as you progress.

Ok I never wanted to share this with anyone else ( my Best friend and neighbor knows) till I decide on what to do with her but an earlier thread on nairaland today about this same paternity issue that I read ( Papa ijeoma) is making me pen this down and due to the insensitive nature of the issue I had to create a new account because she is also in nairaland like me

Me and my lady ( we aren't married but engaged) never hide anything from one another, she knows the password to my phone's and I likewise her's but we never picked each other's call or read a text that isn't meant for the person that owns the phone

But everything changed 7 weeks ago when a text came through to her phone from a number she saved with a different name but in that text the person Said " you can't give my son to that small boy, he is my son and when I get back home I would come collect him"

She was taking her bath and her phone rang repeatedly and almost immediately when the last call stopped then a text came in, and because I was close to it something told me hey man take the phone to meet her maybe it's her work place calling her and as I picked up the phone i unlocked it and just was innocently playing with the phone and walking to the bathroom when I opened the text and when I read it I was broken, so so broken. I opened her WhatsApp for the first time in almost 3 year's of been together and I read the message her and her " man friend" have been sharing, mhen what do ladies want? Why do you have to cheat on a man that loves you? Where is the sacred pure love our parents shared

I won't advice anyone to check their partners phone but at times it could save you

Immediately I read that text I lost my head but I didn't tell her or confront her with it, I was hating my son ( yes he is mine), wasn't eaten at home, but that wasn't who I'm, I'm better than that

Goodnight
1. She has not confessed. She was caught. What is forgiveness without remorse?
2. She has no iota of respect for you. What impression of you did she give the other man that enabled him to call you a small boy to her face? What is marriage without respect?

I'll leave the men to profer advice as I dont want to be a prophet of doom.

FCMB ranks among the top 10 highest paying banks in Nigeria, not many are aware of this. The banks pay above a hundred Thousand (100,000) Naira for their entry-level position, which is a good one.

How Much Does FCMB Pay Its Marketers 2021?
It is understandable that many want to know how much FCMB pays its marketing officers. In the banking system, the cashiers and marketers face a lot of stress. According to MySalaryScale, the average net salary for Marketing Officer at First City Monument Bank (FCMB), Nigeria is ₦38K. This is at entry-level though.

How Much Does FCMB Pay It’s Graduate Trainees 2021?
No regular person working in a bank enters the system without undergoing some sort of training. Every bank makes training compulsory. At First City Monument Bank, graduate trainees or interns get paid N46,000 per month. The training lasts for more than 1 month, but less than 1 year.

How Much Does FCMB Pay Its Entry Level Staffs 2021?
On completion of your training at First City Monument Bank, you become an entry-level staff, and your salary will be increased. Entry-level staff at First City Monument Bank get paid N115,000 per month. This monthly salary amounts to N1,380,000 per annum.

How Much Does FCMB Pay Its Loan Officers 2021?
The salary received by Loan officers at the bank is a lot more than that of entry-level staff. Loan officers at First City Monument Bank get paid N541,000 per month. This monthly salary sums up to N6,492,000 per annum.

How Much Does FCMB Pay Its Credit Analysts 2021?
Only a few people become credit analysts, compare to the total number of people working in the bank. Credit Analysts however get paid a very handsome salary of N610,000 per month. This monthly salary is the same as N7,320,000 per annum.

How Much Does First City Monument Bank Pay Its Branch Managers 2021?
The aspiration of many bank workers is to become a branch manager someday. Every bank worker wants this position because of the fat salary earned by branch managers. Branch managers at First City Monument Bank earn N690,000 per month. Apart from their monthly salary, they are also offered juicy allowances more than other staff.

FCMB Monthly Basic Salary Take Home
Many still want to know what the basic monthly salary staff takes home, and based on our research it is One Hundred and Fifteen Thousand Naira Only (N115,000).

With the above figures, I am sure you can see it won’t be a bad idea working for FCMB.
