Op, I must say you have a point but I don't think our filmmakers are ready for that genre. At least, it's better they 'pass it on to the next generation' (that they peeceive would have the skill/equipment) than make a rubbish movie out of the script. Or are you in haste to sell your script?

By the way, I don't think nollywood has actually explored any genre 'reasonably' (except slapstick comedies and sickening drama-forming genres).

I believe the drama genre really needs to be fully explored to bring nollywood into the 'real' limelight. I mean serious dramas, that may even be based on real life events like the aba women riot, a remake of 'Stubborn grasshopper', boko haram brouhaha, book adaptations etc, not blackberry babes and android boyz kinda films. Lol.

Dramas usually have the higher tendencies of producing memorable characters and establishing a deep connection with the audience, especially when done well; that's why you don't really see a sci-fi movie as an Oscar best picture nominee most times and even in acting categories.

So, OP, maybe we re not yet ready for that kind of genre. But I believe you should be ready (writing-wise) for more DRAMA!!!!!!

Can't he learn some basic computer packages like Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc?

He may also learn a new language, preferably French or Chinese (if u av d money), I dnt mean ur village dialect oo

He can even learn swimming for future purposes, especially emergency situations.

There are a lot of things he can learn, depending on where his interest lies and your pocket.

VillageBoi: True but I think it sells both. The costumes + make-up help sell each character to us; to me it's more than just him changing his voice. Most of 'our' actors are exactly the same no matter what make-up or costume they wear.

lol...this is quite nice. he even changed his voice for each xter. This video also reminds us of the importance of make-up wc I think this video sells rather than acting. it really helps us to believe our actors as the xters they are playing. nice one.

Entertainment is a secondary thing to the economy, whether we agree or not. Let's promote shows that also encourage knowledge and scholastic abilities.

But I would still lyk to watch it. The inspiratn from the story may be from 'Desperate Housewives' (which I don't tink makes it less-original), but the way things happened and interplay may be quite different.

Lol...your reply is quite creative. I've seen 'Three idiots', 'slumdog millionaire', 'don', 'robot' etc.

But I must say, Hollywood is far ahead of them due to many factors such as culture. They rarely perfect romance like it's supposed to be, not that I blame them, but I don't just buy it.

The way they do their action movies shows they are still behind hollywood, though kudos to their effort.

The way they insert songs to movies anyhow makes me lose track of the flow of the movie somtyms. And surprisingly, evrione seems to know d dance moves for any song, including passers-by.

Their plot is very nice but the way it's told I must say it's not good enough, at least from my perspective. Holywood knows how to tell a cliche story in different amazing ways.

There are other reasons also but not to write an epistle (which I sense I've written already ), let me stop here.

But nevertheless, I love bollywood too.

Hollywood is definitely better, though Bollywood is growing.

To be alone is better than to be in bad company.
