librangyps: The presentation was presided by a panel of about 8 people frm different arms of the organisation. Bank of America is a universal bank that comprises different functions eg commercial bank, insurance company, investments, etc each member of the panel talked about what their own arm of d org encompasses and skills needed, to help us determine our area of interests.

They were relaxed, warm and open to questions... They said it will be a continuous thing in Nigeria as they seek talents in africa. Thers another event coming up in september and we were urged to apply.

The main aim is for us to decide if that's the field we want to pursue after school, and also help them meet students and decide those they want with them.

I hope this is explanatory enough.
All in all it was educative, and what crowned my day was the beautiful Ms Whitaker (Director, investment banking, Newyork) whom I was privileged to have had a chat with outside the hall, she gave me her card and asked to hear from me. This is a connection I intend to follow up on.

Congrats o. No dulling. I applied but wasn't invited. Seems lyk u guys had a nice time and learnt a lot. Best wishes.

From what the OP has posted all along, I would still conclude the main fault lies with the husband, not the wife!

Come on, there are some women whose husband won't allow them to work naa, even if they wanted to.

I sense the man is just being selfish here; making his wife wholly dependent on him and still not ready for the additional duties that come with such (like giving your brother-in-law a t-fare).

Everyone here is crying that the woman is at fault for depending on her husband for the last ten years but I believe to each his own.

Why won't her husband approve her doing masters? Smh.

The woman should pray to God to soften her husband's heart(if she is a believer) and then take her stand on the fact that she wants to get busy with cogent points explained in a loving way.

I would advise the woman to set up a shop or still go for Masters. I don't believe it's too late.

Let's be sincere, we have better actors (and maybe worse ones too) these days. Ranging from Nse Ikpe Etim, Bimbo Akintola, Genny to Jackie Appiah, Mercy Johnson, Funlola Aofiyebi etc.

The problem of nowadays is the lack of modesty amongst many actresses who can't make decent role models.

It's either they wear rags to red carpet flashing gold teeth in front of cameras or they are getting married to a man who has a wife and 2 children abroad. Husband snatching is a major skill; catfight is their hobby.

In the name of civilisation, they imbibe more of the negative side of hollywood than the positive.

Hello! Why is everyone calling Regina askia a good actress? She was a great beauty to behold but not a good actress. Her acting has a way of looking quite fake. Even Susan patrick is very better.

Hello. I am back to respond to all the pieces of advice, criticisms and praises.

1. My 'harsh' response to semid might have been dat of transferred aggression which I apologise for but what I read to his response is that of a pompous person. Lyk 'do I tink ppl av tym to be reading bla bla? And y am I churning scripts evriday without putting thought into d process'? I was lyk WTF Then, he promised to 'spare me a comment' if I can post it here...lol. Thank God Kingchamp knows such comment is as annoying as hell and though may nt deserve my harsh reply. And yes, I just
Wrote dis script; not dat I already had it on ground.

2. Mr Villageboi, I didn't post 'paranoia' here. I think it was the moderator (semid again ) out of his loving kindness dat did it before taking it to d frontpage which I am grateful for.

So, I didn't really bother about the idea of posting it here, and it's nt lyk I'm advertising my blog. It's a word file. And why I askd for comments was that it already had close too 100 views which I assumed about 40 ppl wud av had tym to download it.

Also sir, u said I shudn't start displaying d 'I've arrived naija thingy'. First, it's nt a naija thing; anybody can do such. uboma: There is no fixed age or age range that a growing man should attain before leaving his parents house. I have seen some even at the age of 34 still eats from his mother's pot in the family's house. I do not subscribe to allowing a graduate to continue staying with his parents simply because he has no job. Nowadays, u don't wait for jobs, u should instead create a job that will put food on ur table and some cash in ur pocket.

Did you read my post well? If the man desires to stay independent of his parent, even if he doesn't have a job yet, he would. So, he wouldn't wait till he clocks 34 before he stops clinging to mummy.

But my focus is not about changing locatn (which is gud at an early age but circumstances may nt allow), but rather being independent in decison-making (especially in marriage).

We still have people who moved out of their parents' house at an early age (maybe to enjoy their privacy) but still run to their parents whenever there is problem in their marriage even when a third party shouldn't be involved.

As much as it's advisable to leave early, say age 24 and below; there are some factors that may come in.

What if the individual finished school at age 25 because he had problem getting admission into d university or course of his choice?

What if this individual is unfortunately among the statistics of the unemployed and even unemployable graduates (which may be as a result of the school he went, not necessarily his unseriousness)?

There are many 'what ifs'. It's commendable for a man to stay independent of his parents at an early age; but what matters more is his desire to stay independent of his parents, even for decision-making, and not just about changing locatn from his father's house.
