Today is Sunday and there is no market so I sleep here and rest all day and continue work on Monday when market starts. My son is not happy I'm doing this but he just entered polytechnic and can't do anything to help." #HumansOfLagos This is heartbreaking! |

Henrodah: Celine Dion seems to be hitting it up here, and it's a very nice choice...as for Johnny Cash, that guys is something else with his guitar, and has even draw admiration from rap legend Snoop dogg. Walk the line is a cool movie which got Reese Witherspoon an Oscar for best actress. As for Tunde oyelana, sorry I don't really know much bout him. Nice list man. Thanks. Are you a Yoruba? If yes, and you have seen the Mainframe movie 'Thunderbolt: Magun', you would know the song I mentioned by Tunji Oyelana. It goes like this: Mo lo sodo, mo roluweri, O ni ki n wa gbeja, oro eja ko lo n semi, Mo lo soko, mo roluoko, O ni ki n wa gbasu, oro isu ko lo n semi, Mo de 'nu igbo, mo b'oluode soro, O ni ki n wa gbetu, oro etu ko lo n semi, Etc. Etc. |

'Mo lo soko' by Tunji Oyelana- Thunderbolt: Magun
All the songs by Johnny Cash (and June Carter Cash) in 'Walk the Line'. |

Unionised: No best.
Different genre of high school movies have come and gone.
We love them for their different flavours.
I usually group them by the actors.
Reese Witherspoon Lindsay lohan Keira Knightley Kirsten Durnst Julia Styles, etc I am discussing 'high school movies' as a genre on this thread. And yes, I have seen of the actors you listed above, from 'Election' to 'Mean girls'. 'Spectacular Now' blew me away. I normally don't watch high school movies again but this one is different. No wonder, it won prizes at Sundance film festival where it premiered. |

TV/Movies › Best High School Movie by sholay2011(op): 11:38pm On Jan 21, 2015 |
There are a lot of American high school movies I have seen but 'The Spectacular Now' is exceptional. Realistic, not cheesy, heartbreaking, and the performances are fantastic. You feel for these young, damaged characters.
Note: it isn't a love story. Nevertheless, it explores the themes of attraction, naivety, low self-esteem, drinking and family issues. It is an excellent film in my opinion. It's better than 'The Perks of being a Wallflower', another good high school movie.
I recommend it.
