Walspring: Okay, well you can take the risk of telling the VO that and by doing that the VO might think of you rushing and maybe you will Abandon your nysc or you differ your admission till fall and by that time you would have completed your nysc Okay. Thanks. |

Thanks bro. Please, if I'm asked what I'm currently doing...is it advisable to say I'm a corps member. ..or to say I'm done with NYSC? |

rychard: well... those of you whose application is still under review should please move on - once ur application is under review its a sure sign it was kept to compare with other applicant and u have fallen short of the bench mark, as soon as the list of next phase IS READY. u will be sent a regret mail as usual, those of you whose application is pending interview, congrats and welcome to the next phase... We don hear. But my grouse is with the so-called people whose application now reads 'pending interview' and they can't report on this thread but would rather view from the sidelines for further info to further their own cause. Shame on them! Kudos to those people on the 2013 thread. |

prof800: There are New Nollywood movies that are better than the old 1998 era movies by far in terms of story and picture quality.
People are just too nostalgic and sentimentally biased.
While some refuse to wake up from their slumber.
If Nigerian movies get to Hollywood standard today, people will still bad-mouth and criticize. But then don't some people bad mouth Hollywood too and Bollywood too? They fail to see the good in things.
Your statement is a fallacy.! It is just like saying for example, that a 'terminator 1' is better than an 'edge of tomorrow'. Only sentiments will let one reason in that angle.
Therefore, it is utterly absurd to say that storylines of the past beat that of the present era. Unless ofcourse you are watching 'alaba home videos'.
There is a new and better Nollywood that might not yet be world class but is steering on the right track to world class. And you don't get to see these films except in the Cinemas. The Nollywood movies on the street are 'alaba home videos' and are the lancers of the bad name of Nollywood.
MARD, Indian film is a classic, and is ever green but that don't mean that there are no better stories in today's Bollywood.
Same for IGODO, Saworoide, Nneka the snake girl, Arus-iyi, Domitila, Blood Money (Nigerian movies) and all the other ever greens. It don't mean that better stories have not been told. Maybe you don't just get to see them as alaba home videos occupy the market more whereas NEW NOLLYWOOD films are sold in theatres across the country. You've said it all bro. |

kendrick93: dillish was a deserved winner... apart frm melvin You dey mind dem for hia? I just keep quiet like say I no see d silly posts. 'Dillish rode on Naija hype', 'Dillish became Melvin's friend solely because she was desperate for Naija's vote', 'Dillish and her oshio baba's chant was a message to obsessive naija voters' (even though she actually came to Nigeria to see him AFTER she won), 'Dillish this, naija that'. Anybody that is a friend to a Nigerian housemate is doing so because of naija votes, but naija housemates of course have pure intentions. Many flatter themselves on this thread, or rather, the power of 'Naija hype'. Dillish won by good timing, good (maybe passive) behaviour and chance. The hype on her beauty died down as the game progressed. Thanks to Hakeem and his unfounded 'hate' for her (tbh, she also disliked him in return), that helped her game. Also, she was up for eviction 5 times and that helped her garner her own fans, and not be under the 'Melvish' nonsense. Elikem was the most deserving winner. After him, it was anybody's game. The top 5 left in the house actually made sense. Melvin was not more deserving than the rest (Dillish, Bev, Cleo). It wasn't Dillish that said 2 Nigerians and 3 West Africans should be in the finals. Time and chance favoured her. Nigeria sure voted her and helped her cause, Namibia at one time voted Melvin (when he put himself up?) and would have gone all out if Dillish and Maria were evicted early. Nigeria cannot solely determine who wins Big Brother. Hype is good, positive hype in fact, is better. But when you start believing your hype, it's a recipe for a drastic downfall. |

If its the federal government people will condemn the fee payment.Meanwhile I hope it will be transparent! You can say this again. God bless you for this comment.
