1. Total tuition fee $25,000 (assumed);
2. Living expenses $10,000 per year minimum; if you're staying for 2 years, you'll multiply by two.
3. Miscellaneous expenses $3000 minimum

You must show that you have the above readily available to study in Canada.

Although you didn't provide sufficient information about your proposed course of study but I can say with 60% assurance that your $35k cannot be enough to run a two year course. It may be enough for a one year course though.

Your tuition fee for the 2 year could be around $25k and $35k+.

How do you want to show living expenses which is $10k per year at minimum? You need to show $20k for two years to be on a safe side.

How do you want to cater for miscellaneous expenses?

If you are applying to become a PR via study route, you must focus on having a PGWP or other routes

Also, many provinces like BC, NB among others have programs for those wishing to start a business, you may want to research.

The first money appeared at the beginning of the statement I didn't touch the money until the statement was printed. But had inflow and outflow while the major money was untouched. the second account came in as my arrears. But as a lump sum. I show the proof of where the money came in from. Please house what went wrong and what is the next move.

I think the decision is based on the lump sum of which explanation did not sound appealing to the VO.

You may want to work more on explaining the lump sum.

Denial was based on financial status and purpose of visit .

This may be easy to tackle. Just forget about this one and channel your energy on reapplying: you will definitely get your visa approval in your next application by God's grace.

If you study in a DLI and in a PGWP-eligible program, you can apply for a Post Graduation Work Permit after your study and eventually become a Permanent Resident.

If you know why you were refused and how to tackle it, you can reapply; but you may need to order for and examine your GCMS notes to know the VO concerns.

I understand your claim. I know you will get to Canada: a time will come when you must have lived among them and know their ways, only then will you be able to see why IRCC will make visa decisions in 3 - 5 days for those in Poland and take 6 months or more in treating ours.

As you have said, you said the "Koko" is to move out of here and get some sanity. That "sanity" is what you'll learn in Canada because that is what makes the difference.

Let me use myself as an example. Since i started this Visa race last year September, i can count the number of my peeps who have left the country. These peeps actually started their process after i have put in my own application to Canada o. Let me burst your bubble, i just saw one of them online now, Baba don enter New York, that one is not even UK ooo.

The bitter truth is, UK cares less about hometie, who hometie help? Wetin be the meaning of that "BS" sef. What's your business with my hometie? What if the person is an orphan and single, make the person go rent family? This is one of the reasons Canada uses. Canada VOs are not after your perfect application, all they look for are your mistakes so that they can either delay your application for further investigation and frustration or deny you immediately. I have ordered plenty notes on just one application and its only one i don receive in 7months of application.

For those who say Canada hates lies, i tell you they lie to us more than applicants lie to them. They will tell you that once you don't get your GCMS notes in 30days that they will update you for the need to extend the processing time. My last gcmes notes request is already going beyond 2months. Notes wey i don ask for since March 24th. These people no say pim to me or the third party i used. Other issues relating to being open nko. We outside Canada can't eve reach IRCC via call conversation. Try calling Nairobi line, they will just waste your credit, nobody to talk to. Send them mail and webform, na threats you go see last last.

At the end we will all sing our congratulatory songs.

I want to confirm to you that many people whom you say ran to the UK are applying for Canada visa after their study because of clear immigration path— this is for those who value PR. If education is solely your intent, then you shouldn't be wasting your time, you could go to Australia, New Zealand etc

We shouldn't blame Canada for setting their standard, we should instead work on how to meet or suppase them

The accounts currently have like 700 and 800k balance but account statements show 25m and 5m going in and out every 90 and 30 days. Bro, you are the first person I will hear say it's easier to get any category of Canadian visa than the UK equivalent and I don't think that's true. Any category of application is easier to get with UK but it's more expensive.

You see all these 4 months statement of account and lump sum scrutiny that Canada does, UK don't do that. It is why people will borrow the lump sum POF for UK, leave it in the account for about 30 days that is required, print statement and submit their application.

All these home tie that we have to proof beyond reasonable doubt with Canada does not occur with UK application. Same as all the truck load of documents that we have to submit to proof ourselves for Canada.

Drawbacks for UK for me are:

1. The application fee is expensive. Visa and IHS fee is over a million in total.

2. There's no smooth path to permanent residency after post study visa in UK unlike Canada.

3. Also, UK doesn't appeal to me like North America does.

Canada's pathway to permanent residency is smoother but to scale the hurdle of Visa approval from Nigeria isn't, including that of family application or SOWP.

Do not base your conclusion on the family application testimonies you read here. It's about ratio of successful application to the number of applications in total. And UK grants more without people having to pass through the eye of a needle.

All your concerns are on Proof of Funds and Home Ties.

If POF and and Home Ties make you think Canadian Visa is harder to get, then you are not playing by the rules and you are not ready to make your ways right.

You even mentioned here that people borrow money and put in account for 30 days (refer to a part of your post bolded above). This sounds unprofessional and dishonest of you, it corroborates the fact that you are not ready to mend your ways. In fact, this is an evidence that you are one of the people giving genuine Nigerians problems in getting Canadian visa. Your words encourage IRCC to make Nigerian processing time longer. In Poland, visa application and decision take 3 - 5 days despite backlogs. You are one of the people giving them evidence to treat Nigerians shabbily. Kindly desist from this kind of behaviour.

You even say I shouldn't base my conclusion on what I read here, who do you think is talking based on what I read here? Perhaps you don't know that around less than 1% of people applying for Canadian study visa are those coming on Nairaland.

1. You can be self sponsored, you don't necessarily need to have a third party sponsor.

2. Proof of English proficiency is not compulsory.

3. Recently, no definite timeframe. Many people get visa decisions in 9 days, 11 days, 1 month, 3 months, 4 months, 1 year or more.

Good evening everyone,my application is 6months old and eligibility has started since January...around that March I got like 4 ghost updates(my application was 3months then) unfortunately doing that period,I sent alots of mail to Nairobi in which I was replied that they can’t disclose any information going on my application except I use the original email on my application..(I used agent for my application..tho he gave me my login details and every other things I needed except the email login he used)...so fast forward to today,I questioned him about my application,and the next thing he said was,I caused the delay on my application because I sent mails to them using the wrong mail and ircc knows what they are doing ..he said they delayed the visa because they have suspected agent packaged my application for me...pls my question is can this be true? How can you believe such a blatant lie.

IRCC accepts agents (representative) to assist package visa application: else, there won't be a room for representative in IMM forms. Also, there won't be agents in Canada if IRCC does not want a representative.

You are right that it is easier for SOWP holder to transition to PR in Canada. However, getting a SOWP for Canada is not easy and straightforward like UK. For Canada study visa, home tie is always a big factor and applying as a whole family is a risk to most Nigerian applicants. Also, many SOWP applicants wait for over a year to unite with their spouse in Canada and many still get declined. Thanks.
