Hello Everyone,

Please If I travel to Canada as primary applicant Via student Visa , Can I take my family as it is done in the Uk?
Yes, it is easier in Canada than in the UK. The accompanying spouse will be issued open work permit which means the spouse can work in any job anywhere and for any employer while the other studies.

Possibly, the one holding an open work permit might get higher chance of getting the family PR.

Please how does one get an affidavit of support in lagos i want to give instructions to my dad on how to obtain it. A response will be much appreciated
Affidavit of support is just like a declaration of age except that the difference is the content. Go to a court of law of any jurisdiction, they know how to draft one under your guidance.

Hello House, please i need a little clarification.

This is my first time trying to apply to a Canadian university, i have been doing some deep research to make sure i try to get things right with the help of the gurus in the house.

My Question are:

1. First i realized Mpower has limited number of school they offer student loan to, can someone please recommend other facility for student loan other than Mpower for Canada student. others i saw only offer to USA student.

2. Has anybody ever graduated from Ontario College of Management & Technology and gotten their PGWP ?
it is stated on IRCC website that people who graduate from OCMT are not eligible for PGWP, i would like to find out if anyone has been able to get through with IRCC and the PGWP.

3. Lastly, what are the chances of getting an admission with second class lower for someone with up to 3years work experience from a university rather than college.

4. Does the number of weeks matter when getting your PGWP, i mean can someone with 8months - 1year get their PGWP, i know the longer the program time, the better they can get their extended PGWP, so does the timeframe of a program really matter ? if yes, please be kind to explain different scenario to me

5. When going for Upfront Medicals, what type of test do this hospital carry out, is it malaria test or some type of other stuff, perhaps a kind reply is needed here too.

**** Most important Question is Number ONE **** but i would appreciate other replies

Thanks.
1. You may want to source for legitimate ones by yourself locally, but beware of scammers.

2. Check whether or not the College is a DLI, if it's, you should further email the college especially the departments and inquire about whether or not a particular program qualifies for PGWP. Note: not all courses in a DLI qualify for PGWP.

3. Your chances of getting admission are the same as every others except that you didn't mention the program level. For master's, your chances are very slim, you'll just be wasting your money on application fee. For PGD/PGC/PostBaccDip, your chances are high. Colleges and universities offer PGD/PGC/PostBaccDip: even, some colleges offer master's degree.

4. To get a PGWP, you must have studied for at least 8 months in a course that is PGWP-eligible. Note: not all courses in a DLI qualify for PGWP.

5. Medical Examination, either upfront or requested, includes Chest X-ray, HIV test, Syphilis test, Serum Creatinine, and general medical examination.

Hello Everyone, I am looking to do MBA in Canada for January intake. My Bsc transcript is taking forever because of ASUU strike. I also have HND with ACCA ( ICAN equivalent). Will I get admission into a Uni with just these two certificates? I am considering University Canada West because of its affiliation with ACCA
Your best bet is to email the department of the school you wish to seek admission into and inquire from them.

As for your BSc, if you know your grade will fall in second class lower division, you don't want to waste your money on applying for master's degree.

I have an active Express Entry Profiles but did not state same in my LOA or Study Plan when applying for my study permit. I assumed they are separate applications Can this affect my application negatively? Is it required to declare?
Having an Express Entry profile does not mean you have applied for visa, it's simply a show of interest to be considered for Permanent Residence. Since IRCC hasn't sent you an ITA and you haven't filed a PR application, you should fill that you have never applied for Canadian visa before.

Can 3.25 cgpa secure direct msc in canada
If it's 3.25 on 5.0 scale, then it's second class lower division. You cannot apply for master's degree directly or let me say it will be extremely difficult.

You may qualify for PGD.

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I have paid tuition deposit of 2,650CAD and I have N7m left.
Bro, if your tuition deposit is $2,650: you still need about NGN 9.5m.

Analysis
Tuition fee $18k
Living expenses $10k a year.
Miscellaneous expenses $3k
Total: $31k.

Total - Tuition deposit ==> $31,000- $2,650 = $28,350.

Using official CBN rate @ $1/#332. You still need $28,350 X 332 = NGN 9,412,000.

Conclusion
Your #7m is not enough. You cannot apply. If you do, it's outright visa denial. You need additional #9.5m instead of #7m. To make it on the safe side, make it #10m or more

Lease is it possible to use mpower funding as proof of fund after paying deposit?
Yes, but you must have secured admission in one of the universities and colleges listed on Mpower website. Not all universities and colleges are listed on Mpower website.

Good day Gurus.

Pls will N7m be enough to be presented as POF for a year course that cost 18k CAD? Living Expenses and miscellaneous included.

I'm self sponsored.

Or should I try and make it N8m?
If I understand you: you have NGN 7m: your tuition fee is $18k. Living and miscellaneous expenses are separate.

Have you paid your tuition deposit? How much have you paid? If you have paid tuition deposit and you still have this amount of money remaining, you may be financially sufficient to apply.

Corrections
You cannot apply based on the analysis I made to your comment below where you later said your tuition deposit is $2650. Please refer to it for full analysis and explanation.

Good day all,
My sister is sponsoring me.
Is it necessary to include my business registration and account statement.
The business is not registered, will it be okay to register it and raise gcms
If the business is not registered before, there is no point registering it now for visa application sake because you don't have a corporate account for the business to show how busy the business and account is.

My advice is leave the business out of the visa application process.

Although if you register it now, it's not a stain but will add no weight to your application.

Alternatively, you don't necessarily have to register your business to use it as an evidence of self employment if the business has a license. For example, POS business may not be registered by CAC but the operator can show mobile money agent license or certificate and bank agency certificate and SANEF certificate. SANEF is a government body regulating mobile money.

A petty loan/savings collector (Ajo) may not register with CAC (he cannot register unless as a cooperative society or finance company) but can present a Lagos State Government license. Lagos State has started issuing license to petty loan operators.

My point is while CAC is the parent authority responsible for registration of businesses, Corporate entities etc, government licenses or delegated authority from an international entity can also be used to legally identify and recognize an entity.

Hello everyone!

I’m new on this thread and I have been reading some beautiful testimonies in thread 21 specifically.
Please, I have just completed my Bsc and NYSC and I’m looking forward to studying in Canada. Although, I’m also processing the USA..

Please, what steps do I need to take to begin my Canadian application for my Masters program? I don’t want to use any agent to avoid stories that touch. My biological brother in the USA and probably my uncle will be my sponsor. So there’s possibility that I’ll use a USA SOA and a Nigeria SOA together. Hope that won’t be a problem?
Thank you
Your first step is to search for school that offers your choice of program and gain admission.

Ensure your program is PGWP-eligible in case you may want to consider being a Permanent Resident in future.

Getting your admission letter and honouring the conditions and terms therein, you are set to apply for study visa.

Hi guys goodmorning, I need urgent advice, I've been processing form A for Fanshawe college school fees but has not gone successfully, now I just got admission at cambrian college with way lower tuition fee more like double of Fanshawe College tuition. Considering Fanshawe resuming by August 6th 2022 and Considering cambrian resuming by October 31st 2022. And also considering the quality of the two schools whc do think I should go for?
Should I just continue processing Fanshawe or just buy black market dollar and pay for cambrian immediately as their tuition is quite affordable?

Please help guys, Thanks
Go for Cambrian if it is PGWP eligible but don't buy at black market rate. Use Form A also for Cambrian. Don't be in a hurry.

I just got admission into a Canadian college.

What next?
Get your admission letter and ensure you have honoured all the terms and conditions therein.

If you have done this, it is time to apply for study visa.

Hello everyone, thank you for your good work here. Please I need some advice. My sister would like to pursue her dream in Canada, she graduated with Second Class "LOWER" in Law. Please is there any school you can recommend that will offer admission to her master's program? Please advise will be tangible at this moment. Thank you in advance.
It's almost impossible to gain admission in Canadian universities into master's degree programs with a second class lower division bachelor degree from Nigeria.

She can pursue Post Graduate Diploma/Certificate in Canada in any Law related courses.

PGD/PGC/PostBaccDip is always run for 8 months to 2 years. After this, you can progress to either 1 Year or 2 Year Master's degree if interested.
